Avatar f tn This is day 3 of suffering really bad sinus pain in the left side of my face I've tried sudafed, panadol, saline nasal spray,Vicks inhaler, steam from hot showers, controlled breathing and now I'm at a loss as to what else to try,I'm flying in 3 days and don't want to be suffering the way I am and have cabin pressure too. The pain is so bad I'm struggling to eat (pressure affecting my jaw) and sleep (due to having to blow my nose so frequently) I'm 35 weeks today.
Avatar f tn I have been have episodes of left chest pain and jaw pain for about 2 months. I have had a stress echo which was normal. I had a cardiac ct with calcium scoring in which my calcium score was 0 and my arteries were clear ( they couldn't see my right coronary artery completely but they assured me it wasn't my heart). I have been on Nexium for my stomach and have been referred to a GI doctor but I continue to have this pain and jaw tightness.
Avatar f tn There are many cases where individuals that suffering from sinus congestion also experience pressure in the ear, with earaches and even jaw pain. The earaches you are having may be an infection in the ear due to blocked sinuses. Other causes of aw pain can be due to infection of salivary gland like parotitis, infected foci, osteoporosis related jaw disarticulation or fracture.
146298 tn?1258712247 They go from my eye to my jaw and specific points of pain are jaw, base of skull, top of skull, behind ear, where shoulder meets neck. When I have such a headache I am very dizzy, technically it's vertigo. After the ache has begun my nostril slowly closes itself and adds a bit to the pressure, but I've had sinus headaches and this is different. Something in my head seems to be swelling and blocking the nasal passage rather than the nasal passage being blocked and causing the pain.
Avatar n tn It started as sinus headaches 2 months ago, then it turned into pressure all over my face and an earache with jaw pain. That was 3 weeks ago. Now it is jaw pain, dizziness, and sinus pressure. My ENT had a CT done and said my sinuses are basically clear but I have 2 small polyps in a cavity and teeth growing in y nasal cavity?...Apparently this is normal? But now I am severely depressed and anxious too. He seems to think all of this stemed from stress so he gave me valium.
Avatar f tn I had to have an ENT to suction out my ear canal due to fungus growing in it. She prescribed some ear drops & I have noticed since taking them for 1 1/2 days that my right bottom jaw feels like it is in a vice lock tool & is swollen & hurts really bad. My right side of my sinus hurt & have pressure & I have severe dry nose. Please help me. Do I stop taking the drops? What can I do for the sinus pressure & dry nose?
1147984 tn?1261626788 I am having all of these symptoms - started with the neck pain, then the eye pain, then severe migraine headaches, and now I have jaw pain. My husband thinks I am a hypocondriac! And the migraine pain I swear started in my thigh one night showed up in the side of my chest the next night and then the back of my head!
Avatar f tn My symptoms are primarily on my right side only and I had a lot of ear pain and neck pain too. Most of my post nasal drip, pressure in my frontal sinuses have reduced, however I still have a strange lingering pressure in my head. Some days it's worse than others, and it's only one my right side. When I lay down at night it hurts behind my ear and wraps around to the back of my head (but still only on one side). I can't lay on that side at all, every single night.
Avatar n tn Since October, I have had inner ear pain, neck and jaw pain, and sometimes shoulders and facial pain as well. I also get headaches and sore spots on my head at times.
Avatar m tn I have a pain and discomfort in my jaw for months now, pressure in my palate and behind my nose, my right side teeth aches when I bite something like meat, and itches when opening my jaw wide. My ear also aches, like pressure in my ears that itches too, I get headaches and makes me feel like I cant think. I had jaw and teeth pain last year and the year after, had xrays on the gums and teeth and dentist couldn't find anything.
587537 tn?1220104892 thats when the extreem pain started and swelling of both upper and lower gums. I do clinch my teeth, jaw pops/cracks more as I get older. So I was sent to a oral surgen to get the moler pulled, took exrays and he said No way; your sinus are swelling. Went to medical Dr. got that 5 day medican, a week later took extrays again and still tells me sinus infection. My nose fells clear, my ears do hurt and my jaw aches, along with swollen gums, only on right side.
Avatar m tn My wisdom teeth are still intact, but 3 dentists and 2 oral surgeons have assured me that they do not need to come out and would not be causing the pain. The pain is like a sharp pressure in that area of my mouth. Almost feels like a sinus infection in that palate/gum region. When I press on my second molar, it tends to alleviate the pain momentarily, but it comes back. At times the pain is throbbing, other times it is almost non-existent. Sinus x-rays have ruled out sinusitis.

Avatar m tn For the first day, the pain radiated to the left jaw, and for a while seemed to originate from the jaw. Today the pain and pressure is better, but is now radiating to a slight soreness in the left collarbone area. I've also noticed that the pressure sometimes moves up toward the sinuses. I can also feel the pressure slightly in my throat. I have been experiencing some sinus pressure, along with a slightly stuffy nose and post-nasal drip.
Avatar f tn d been having terrible tooth pain and had developed an abscess on the gum above that tooth. At the same time, I was experiencing a pressure/pulling sensation down my jaw, around my ear and down my neck. I was first given a round of antibiotics, and the pain, abscess and pressure/pulling sensation all went away.
Avatar f tn ll prescribe antibiotics before sending a patient to the ENT, especially if they have any nasal symtpoms prior to their pain. Do you have pain when leaning over or pain to pressure being applied on your cheek/eye area? I hate to contradict what your ENT has said since he/she has seen you and done a scan but judging by what the endodontist and the general dentist indicate, it seems there isn't a source of tooth pain.
Avatar f tn Could i have a sinus infection with no pressure no previous head cold but i just have a constant toothache on my right upper jaw. i had a cat scan done said chronic mucoperiosteal thickening in the right maxilary sinus with a small amount of fluid. I see an ENT tommorrow but i want relief from this tooth ache very soon. should i go to him or another endodontist?
Avatar n tn Also, you might go to a dentist specializing in TMJ disorders or a maxillofacial specialist, because a problem with the jaw is strongly suspect with headache on the side with jaw pain. Do you clench or grind your teeth when you sleep? I'm a clencher myself and I have both joints with arthritis and joint disc dislocations, with one of them out of place even when I open my mouth (called without reduction, I believe).
Avatar f tn Has anyone had pressure in the ears???? Its crazy Dr lookd in them and said that there is no infection, First they said a sinus infection could be the cause of it now hey say I am clinching my jaws, which I do grind my teeth at night but this is very annoying to have to deal withall day....Does anyone have the same problem???And is there anything I can do to make it go away???
Avatar f tn I have been getting a ton of congestion in my sinuses and I find the extra pressure causes mouth pain. My friend is a dental hygienist and says its very common to feel mouth and jaw pain when your sinuses are acting up. Especially if you have a sinus infection.
Avatar n tn A related discussion, <a href="/posts/Dental-Health/chronic-sinus-pain-and-lower-jaw-pain/show/2663552">chronic sinus pain and lower jaw pain</a> was started.
Avatar n tn 10 years ago I had a jaw surgery. The last few years I had pain in my face, which I thought from my teeth, but never find any problem with them. Finally I got a new dentist, who took an x-ray, and seen that my sinuses are full. I went to the ENT doctor, took medication for 6 weeks, but did not help, so I had a sinus surgery, + the doctor took all the screws and plate out from the left jaw, because he said one of them was sticking in the sinus, that was caused the pain.
