It was also a cold night so my lips are a bit dry at the moment, although I do notice some redness on my lower lip almost in the shape of a pimple but just red. It doesn't itch or anything, so not sure if I'm just panicking for no reason.

I had a cold sore on my upper lip a month ago that went away in about a week or so. It left a red mark after and it still hasn't gone away. I read somewhere that Vitamin E and Aloe Vera lip balm could shorten the healing time so I bought Aloe Vera and started using it on my lips since three days ago.
The thing is that since I started using it my upper lip has become somewhat yellowish in some areas around the the lower side all the way around, and a little even a bit up on the lip.
My lips look normal then two weeks later they start turning black right and left corner upper lip very black,
when my lips are very dry they look more darker. They feel like uncomforable the color makes me look hard.
they're very notiable I use exfoli scrub now and carmax balm my lips soft but the black not going away quickly.
What should I do? Please help.

From the symptoms it can be due to contact dermatitis or allergic reaction also. Apply petroleum jelly, lip balm which will prevent itching of lip surface. A short course of anti histamines against prescription will be helpful. Identify the allergen and avoid further exposure. I suggest you to consult physician.

I’m a bit of a lip balm addict so then when I couldn’t find lip balm for about a week my lips got all chapped, then I got some lip balm finally and now ive got little bumps all over my lips that are a bit itchy and swollen but not really any pain. I think they’re lacking moisture so excess sebum has come out causing fordyce spots. But let me know!

For about 3 months now i have had a burning sensation around the mouth.I have used several types of lip balm/moisturizer but it doesn't help,actually it seem to make it worse.I have suffered from dry lips before but usually after a few days of using a lip balm everything feels fine.Could this be some sort of fungas or bacterial infection?There are no bumps or blisters and the area looks normal.I am just feeling a constant burning.Thanks for any info.
So since I found out I am pregnant my nipples have been inching, I've even been feeling like they're burning. I've been applying Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm for two months and recently the edges of my upper lip started drying out and in 2 days my entire lip was swollen, red and burning and feeling stretchy, but its not chapped but feels extremely dry. It has happened to me twice before (had used Avon lip balm then) and i applied Smyle herbal gel and Vaseline and it worked. This time though it is not working. I've been applying Smyle gel and Himalaya lip balm to cure it.

The next day my friend used his lip balm but did not apply it directly onto his lips, keep in mind that he had just opened the lip balm it was new. After he applied the balm with his finger onto his lip, I used the lip balm directly onto my lips. If my friend did get something from the guy he had hooked up do I have a chance of getting it too? If my friend did get something, would have the disease spread quickly enough to his lips since it have been less than 24 hours.
