But about 2 weeks ago i started getting a scratchy throat, it doesnt hurt when i swallow, i dont have a fever, and its on and off, typically worse at night, and in the mornings. I also cough up green phlegm, which in my understanding is a infection of some kind. Well this morning while driving to work, i got a bad cough, and vomiting. Thosr are the only symptoms, its better now, but i know it will pick up again soon. I need to know what it may be, some insight would help.

I take tylenols to ease away my headache. I also had some dark green phlegm that I spit out when I wake up and sore throat too.
I asked a doctor about it and she told me to take ambroxol (mucolytic) and some loratadine. She told me that I may be having some allergy attack. I finished taking the dosage and I felt a little better but I still have the same symptoms.

6 months (or more) ago i felt like there is something in my throat.like a very thick phlegm but i just ignored it and got used to that feeling. 3 weeks ago i had cough and colds then i started to produce light green color with a grayish spots sputum and it is very very thick. But its not always like that, most of the time it is clear. more or less 5 times a day that week. After a week, the cough goes aways but i still produce that kind of phlegm once a day.
Hi, if your phlegm is green in colour it may be that you have an infection and sometimes with an infection there can be small amounts of blood and you should then see your doctor to perhaps get an antibiotic. If the phlegm is not green as long as it is not large amounts of blood then as jaja says it may be due to excessive coughing.

Within two days both of those were replaced with chest congestion, tightness, and a wet cough producing green phlegm. Now its been about 5 days of wheezing and this cough i can feel the congestion deep down in my lungs. When i breathe i can feel the phlegm and mucus and i wheeze when i exhale. I have been exposed to airborne asbestos for 7 hours at a building site. I use an inhaler to reduce inflammation. When I stop using it my lungs get in flamed and I usually cough up a long fibre as if its in my long and been striped off. The sensation is sore. When I go back to inhaler my lungs get up green phlegm. I d'ont understand all this~~? Can green phlegm remove asbestos fibres from lung or is it just white phlegm.

i have smoked for 41 years mostly roll ups with no filters or anything, but about 3 plus years ago i started putting filters in and after a few months started coughing up green phlegm i asked the doctor he just said getting older and smoking,
Some days it seems worse than others its really strange, i don't smoke load about 15 a day but there dead thin and i only smoke half at a time.
I have never spent any time clearing my throat before and I still don't do it a lot or do it compulsively. I do it in the morning because the mucus builds up in my sleep. And then one or two more times a day. And stuff does come out. And it's wads of green phlegm. Isn't the first possibility ruled out because of that? I'm not mistaken green phlegm mean I have some kind of bacterial infection or immune response.

I had 2 encounters with prostitutes. Once in January 2017 and once early in February 2017. I had protected sex, but received unprotected oral. I had gotten 2-3 mouth ulcers about 3 weeks after my last exposure, but I felt sick a day after too, felt like a common cold and had a sore throat.
I have all of the symptoms of everyone else...constant phlegm in my throat, and my vocal chords seem to be affected. The doctor says it is allergies and has me on Allegra. That helped a whole bunch for months, but now it is back even worse, even though I am still on Allegra. I tried Nasonex too...I have a cough too and I feel like a good antibiotic would clear it all up, but the doctor says no. I just want to feel better . Some of these entries are old...
This time the soreness persisted the whole entire day. I went to bed last night with a lot of phlegm in my throat and woke up this morning with a lot of soreness and phlegm once again. I tried to hack up the phlegm. Most of it was clear or yellow. Then I managed to get a real good one... I hacked up a real thick sample that was directly from my throat, and spit it out onto a tissue. I noticed a streak of blood on the tissue mixed with yellow phlegm.
I always awake with layers or lumps of green nose dirt (mucus ?) in my nose. Also I have a frequent need to clear my throat and I cough up phlegm which is often green. I have thought it was associated with a cold but it has been there now for months or even years and I do not think I have a cold. Or is it possible to have cold symptoms which linger for months? Can I do anything to help this condition ?

Wednesday and thurday as well i bad a slight cough. Then friday morning i woke up with pretty bad build of phlegm in my throat and i had some pain in my throat. Keep in mind this was about 3 in the morning and i couldnt sleep because my throat was hurting and it was itchy as well and i had to get up and spit like every 10 mins. So that night i went to medicine cabinet and took the last of some otc cough medicine that i had and then i was fine and was able to sleep.
Throughout the day, when I blow my nose, there will be occasional green mucous too. But phlegm that I cough out is colourless. My throat is only very slightly sore occasionally. In addition, the white in my eyes have red spidery streaks ever since, and I have eye discharge when I wake up in the morning. I am very troubled. Is this serious? Thanks for your patience with my long message.
The first day it was a sore throat and coughing and hacking up green phlegm in small amounts, sometimes it had blood in it when it came from the top of my throat. I had a slight fever of 99.7. It may have been a little higher, but never over 100. My nick was also very stiff the first day. One the second day, my throat was still sore and coughing up green phlegm, but the stiffness and temperature were gone.
I have excessive phlegm, but no cough, seems to be worse after I eat. I am constantly clearing my throat, & getting a sore throat b/c of trying to clear it all the time. I'm getting some relief from Allegra, and some natural remedies, but it's not enough.
