Common Questions and Answers about Itchy skin joint pain

itchy

Avatar f tn Hi, This is a condition called hives.Hives are red, itchy welts or swellings on the skin that often come in clusters. They sometimes have a light red or pale center surrounded by a darker red area around the borders -- a marking resembling tiny bull's eyes -- but may simply look like large red circles. In doctor speak, hives are known as "urticaria." Hives can appear anywhere on the body, cropping up either in one small area or covering large patches of skin.
Avatar f tn 09 I didnt worry about it too much because at the same time I started having joint pain. I saw a doctor in Feb about it because I really started to worry that i had some kind of infection. I was tested for lupus. Everything came back normal. I was had a bunch of blood taken. Everything was normal. Now my new doctor says I have fibro. I dont believe it. I think that my rash and my joint pain have to do with chemicals that i work with or something.
Avatar f tn t know if I am affected by the lack of sunlight and coldness (plus the stress of the Christmas season), my itchy joint and skin are acting up. My face feels buring and cracking. When I googled itchy joint, it popped up autoimmune disease. Wow. this is so right on. Whether it is stresses from food, weather, emotion..., our bodies are so sensitive. I hate this. I go for massage once a week, and I find it helps. Thanks for this forum.
Avatar f tn well i cant understand this constant itching under my skin i feel prickly but also itchy.
Avatar f tn My daughter, who is soon to be 3 yrs old, has a red itchy patch on the inside elbow joint. She is holding her arm close to her chest and keeping it bent. She is not complaining of pain, but says that it doesn't itch as much when the arm is bent. I have tried creams and lotions, thinking it may just be dry skin. She has had this for 3 days and we are not noticing much change. I don't know what else to do, or if it is worth going to the doctor about. Any advice would be helpful.
Avatar f tn Maybe you could try putting two cups of Epsom salt into your bath water and soak for 20 minutes per day. This may help with the joint pain and also your skin irritation. Best of luck.
Avatar f tn All of sudden one day I have itchy on my leg, finger or hand and i start scratching...after some time that part turns reddish and sligt swelling will be there...then I will start feeling muscular sprain or bone pain(I can't tell what it is) like pain...I will apply pain balms and in 1 or 2 days it goes off and then it comes back in any other part...this I had 10 months before...consulted doctor...tested for arthritis and uric acid which all came back negative...
Avatar n tn How come my legs are always so itchy? I always scratch them and rip the skin on accident. Mainly only the front of my legs are itchy. My arms don't itch though.
Avatar f tn ve been breaking out in hives whenever I get sick or over tired, even with the common cold. Hives are accompanied by burning scalp and hair loss, extreme joint pain, itchy skin, and fatigue. Moving hurts. I feel nauseous as well. It's almost like my immune system is extremely dramatic and over-reactive. In the past I have had Lyme disease, which may be related. Tested for allergies and autoimmune, ANA came back positive twice, but that was it. What could be going on?
Avatar n tn My entire family has lyme and we all have the itching sensation along with joint pain, muscle pain, headaches, neck tightness and many more symptoms. Lyme effects the nervous system and can cause these conditions. No bulls eye rash required to have lyme. You can also show up negative on testing and still have it. The testing is very poor for lyme disease so the best way to be sure is to see a lyme specialist. This is something to consider as a possibility.
Avatar n tn So about a month ago i developed hives and joint pain. I went to the doctor's and they said the only thing i can do they say is to take antihistimines, use calamine lotion and anti itch creams for the itching. Sometimes i will not have any and i think they are completely gone, and then a few hours later usually at night they come back usually terribly bad all over my arms, legs, chest, back, and stomach. It gets so bad and itchy sometimes, i just cry.
958034 tn?1247072625 I too have a lot of nerve pain at times. I also get pains that "shoot" down my arms/legs, and burning sensations in my skin. At times, I had mostly left sided facial pain and stabbing ear pain (not recently, I can thankfully say). My lower back often hurts a lot. I get eye pain a lot, worse with movement. I also get stomach aches/abdominal pain. In the past I had bad shin pain, associated with a Lyme co-infection that I have.
Avatar f tn A few years ago I had an un-diagnosed condition where my left knee and right elbow were so painful I could barely brush my hair or walk down stairs. At that time I also developed erythema nodosum on both of my shins and ankles. I saw several doctors but they didn't know what was going on. It went away on its own after about 2 months, but I still feel remnant pain in my knee and elbow occasionally. Now I don't know if this is related but I am having more joint issues.
Avatar n tn can ars occur 6 week after exposure? How can you describe precisely muscle and joint pain and rash ?
Avatar m tn anxiety does not normally cause joint pain unless your anxiety causes you to hold your joint rigidly for a period of time. any ticks in your area when you are outside? some tick bites can cause joint pain and fatigue.
Avatar n tn ok so i am 25 year old female and i have a 2 1/2 year old boy. I am a cosmetologist and am in chemicals a lot, but HAVE NEVER had any reactions to any of that kind of stuff up until now. About a year ago i noticed that aerosol sprays started taking the breath out of me and just recently started doing Keratin treatments in the salon i get like automatic bronchitis!
Avatar m tn especially for the symptoms such as joint/muscle pain, urethra stricture, and itchy skin???
