Avatar n tn Secondly, It can be due to STD’s like Chlamydia or thrush(red, sore, itchy vagina along with pain during sex and slight increase in the vaginal discharge may be present), Gonorrhea(Itchy, red, or swollen vagina and Pain during intercourse, urinating or abdominal pain may be present),Trichomoniasis(red, very itchy vagina along with greenish, frothy discharge is present) or Lichen sclerosis which is a non-infectious inflammatory skin disorder which affects the vulval and perianal skin(Symptoms inc
Avatar m tn Hello, It can be due to insect bites, scabies( but you should have continuous symptoms then) or hives due to allergy to dust mites. Hives (medically known as urticaria) are red, itchy, raised areas of skin that appear in varying shapes and sizes. They have a tendency to change size rapidly and to move around, disappearing in one place and reappearing in other places, often in a matter of hours or days.
Avatar f tn I went and saw the dermatologist yesterday and she advised me to use Dermatop twice a day and that it was a skin irritation. Now my question, since I have started to use Dermatop my skin has become itchy and the redness has increased... is this normal? Does dermatop work this way and if so, how long till I see results? Thank you very much.
Avatar f tn Yes! Itchy belly is very normal!! I use Palmers Itchy Skin oil.
Avatar n tn I have been having some symptoms on my face recently and I don't know what it is. For the past month, off and on, I've had these red areas on my face, somewhat blotchy - they're more apparent right after I wash my face and sometimes when I workout. They are around the bottom edge of my face and a little around the nose. There are some bumpy areas, but they are certainly not pimples. The red areas aren't really raised and my skin is not itchy.
Avatar n tn Hi, I'm 23 years old and female. On my right nipple (since February of 2008 and since joining a gym) I've experienced EXTREME itchiness. I wasn't hygenic and hardly cleaned my sports bra and didn't shower right away either. At first, it occurred every now and then. The past two months or so, it's become unbearably itchy, especially when i first wake up and then spontaneously throughout the day. In these past two months it has also started peeling and developed a dryness.
Avatar m tn I have had this skin irritation for 2 days. It first appeared on my 2 arms with itchy small red spots. I took Benadryl and it did not resolve the problem. The day after, it moved from my arms to the back, lower back, legs, and along 2 neck lines. It is still very itchy! What products would help resolve this problem?
Avatar f tn I am a 17 year old girl. Recently, I've started to become very itchy, mostly like right around my breasts, stomach, and around like my pelvis and vagina. My scalp has also been pretty itchy. I'm not sure what's causing this. There is no rashes, just a little red from itching. The itching will last for a maybe 10-20 minutes at a time and then I'm okay, but it is the most annoying thing! Usually it starts when I'm sitting down or laying down, not really when I'm standing.
Avatar f tn Sometimes if a guy fingers you too much, it can irritate your skin. Remember, you have very thin and sensitive skin down there. If you were not enjoying it, then you were probably dry meaning he was just rubbing dry skin so that would obviously bother it. Give it about 2 or 3 days and it should go away. If not, then I would go to the doctor to get it checked!
Avatar n tn That could be a skin irritation from dye or your underwear rubbing. It can also be the toliet tissue you use. Sometimes the perfume or dyes in it can do the same thing. If you wear thongs, that can definitely rub. When you have your period and you wear pads, you are putting something sterile between you and the underwear. It can also be that wiping with dry toilet tissue is not cleaning the crevices totally and it irritates your skin.
Avatar f tn For the past few months i have been having various types of irritation around my vaginal area. at times it has been red, hot, swollen, tender and very painful to touch. i have also had a rash down there from time to time which i thought was razor burn. all of this would come and go and just recently i have been getting little almost like paper cuts on my labia and around my vagina.
Avatar m tn Well thankfully the problem has died down, still have a few niggles at night time, but nothing too serious What i done was to wear shorts instead of underwear (more room) and to have a cool shower once every two days, washing my scrotum with johnsons baby bath, id also wear nothing to bed so that contact with any material was minimal Since doing this the burning sensation has gone, i only get that slight itchy feeling at bed time, and the flaky skin has gone, and my scrotum is looking normal a
Avatar f tn s mostly my head that is itchy but so is my body. I have no hives or rashes or scaly skin. Dermatologist gave me a medicated shampoo and said it could be dermatitis. It doesn't help at all. Already went through 2 bottles of it. I am beside myself. Can I have something wrong with me internally? Can stress cause this itching? I take benedry, but it doesn't help. I have cortizone cream but doesn't help. Don't know what to do. Any answers out there???
Avatar m tn With menopause, changes in hormones (estrogen) can also lead to dry, itchy skin. Keep the area clean and dry. Try to avoid scratching to prevent secondary bacterial infection. Also. try to stop using any product for two or three days to rule out irritation. If it persists, check with your doctor for proper management. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn You might consult a Dermatologist concerning your problem. The skin on the breasts is the same as skin on any other part of the body and subject to the same problems. The soreness is no doubt due to irritation from scratching. A Dermatologist could no doubt recommend some medication to apply to relieve the itching. Regards ....

Avatar f tn Also since then I have had itchy skin all over (not on the bumps on my arms. Mostly around the face.) I was thinking maybe I have dry skin? I have been using lotion a lot more lately, and have washed all my clothes and bed sheets. My mom checked my head for lice (maybe I picked something up at the renaissance fair?) and says that I don't have any (She is a nurse so I trust her, so I think I have dandruff). Anybody have any idea what this could be? I'm kinda stressing out over it.
Avatar m tn I have this skin irritation on two to three fingers that seems to come and go. Appears to almost look like burn blisters or hives and sometimes even oozes water or liquid. It itches badly as well. It seems to come and go but came back yesterday and is really irritating this time. Not sure how to post a picture here but I have a photo of it to post if I can. A dermatologist I went to thought or said it was psoriasis but I do not think that is the case.
