Avatar n tn Is it normal for boobs, back and stomach to itch during pregnancy my partner is nearly 2 months pregnant and we want to know if it is. We read it might be due to her skin stretching.
20922415 tn?1661860103 During the reproductive years, the pituitary gland in the brain generates hormones (follicle-stimulating hormone [FSH] and luteinizing hormone [LH]) that cause a new egg to mature and be released from its ovarian follicle each month. As the follicle develops, it produces the sex hormones estrogen and progesterone, which thicken the lining of the uterus called the endometrium.
Avatar f tn I had the same thing its a very rare pregnancy condition more common towards the end of pregnancys but if happens in early pregnancy can be dangerous. The only cure is delivery. They induced me at 38 weeks because of this. Everyone kept telling me it was allergies or pregnancy itch and i was soo fed up and exhausted (because i couldnt sleep) i researched and found info about this and my mom n bf thought i was google crazy lol.

Avatar f tn I have never had this condition before and no skin conditions during my first pregnancy 2.5 years ago either. I have checked with my primary care and they said it's just a rash and told me to apply topical cream. I don't want to apply any topical cream that has steroids or antibiotics. Not sure what natural remedy can help and safe during pregnancy. I am hoping this is pregnancy related and it will be gone after first trimester. I am concerned.
Avatar f tn I am 20 wks and the last couple days I have been really itchy even though my skin is not dry. It's not on my belly either, just my arms and legs. Is this normal during pregnancy or do I need to see my dr? I have an apt on friday and I plan on talking to him about it but I just read some stuff saying it could be something wrong with your liver and it kind of freaked me out... Should I wait until Friday or call my doctor tomorrow?
262365 tn?1268508268 this rash can erupt at any time during pregnancy and then spots continue to appear until childbirth when they clear rapidly. Complications This condition causes no complications in the mother, but studies suggest that fetal death rates are increased.
Avatar f tn Often being itchy is a sign that your skin is stretching and an early indicator of stretchmarks, best thing is the pregnancy coco butter you can purchase in supermarkets and chemists its a lifesaver.. remember, even if you dont have stretchmarks yet, boobs bum thighs and hips!

Avatar f tn My first pregnancy my skin became so sensitive and itchy. I started using dove body wash and aveeno moisturizer and it helped a lot!!! I am now on baby #2 and it's the same way!!!!
Avatar f tn itchy nipples is normal during your entire pregnancy especially at the begginig though because your entire boob is growing along with your nipple so it stretches the skin sometimes breaking your skin and causing irritation and itchness and stuff so thats normal i wouldnt worry about it. im not to sure about the dry vagina though.......
Avatar f tn I started being really itchy at 30weeks with no rash, told my doctor and they drew blood to check my liver, apparently you can get a pregnancy induced liver disease that goes away after you give birth, in my case my results came back negative so it's just another normal pregnancy symptom.
Avatar f tn And I noticed here lately that my legs always get itchy, and tingly at night. I can sleep on my couch for a nap during the day, and im fine. But when bedtime comes it drives me crazy. If they don't itch or feel tingly I get this weird sensation making me constantly move my legs. I tried putting a pillow between my legs, but it makes it worse. Is anyone else going through this? If so what do you do for relief?
Avatar n tn Hello, It is true that gall bladder disease can be aggravated during pregnancy. The high levels of hormones (estrogens) in pregnancy cause the bile to be much thicker, thus increasing the tendency of gallstones to form. In addition, other hormones (progesterone) inhibit the gallbladder's normal ability to contract, further increasing the likelihood of stone formation. Gall bladder surgery can be delayed upto child birth but if the symptoms are severe, then an urgent surgery may be needed.
