Common Questions and Answers about Itchy scalp tumor

529981 tn?1212853666 There is a sandy-grainy like build up on my scalp This is also accompanied by an itch. Even after I wash my hair, the grainy like build up is still there. It is NOT flaky what so ever. My hair has also started to fall out and at the end of my hair, a white little grain is at the end. Hair will not stop falling out. I have gotten blood tests at a dermatology office and everything was normal. I also have tried about very type of zinc pyrithione shampoo, at the highest concentrations.
Avatar f tn So I told I could with it, but now I think I changed my mind. My was so itchy and the skin around was itchy that the doctor gave me medicine to get rid of the itch. I was wondering how did your procedure go? Is the wart completely gone?
Avatar n tn Approximately ten years ago I was diagnosed with a sebaceous cyst on my scalp. I didnt give it much though since I trusted my doctor. Over the past several years, I find it is getting larger and it does NOT seem to be mobile, which Im told sebaceous cysts are. Could this be cancer After all of these years? I cant get an apt. with my dermatologist for two weeks so I thought that maybe til than someone can put my mind at ease. Thank you in advance.
Avatar m tn My whole scalp is RED, extremely itchy, inflammed, i got like 10-20 pus-filled itchy pimples. Skin on my head hurts and sometimes it's hard to sleep. Also my hair has thinned drastically. My face is clear, my back is clear, only my SCALP is a TOTAL MESS. From my knowledge I'm suffering from "chronic non-scarring scalp folliculitis". Now I plan to try injections of gamma-globulin, because antiobiotics or isotretinoin helps only when u take it.
Avatar n tn In the beginning, they were just itchy even if I pick at them. Now they're itchy, but very sensitive to touch and sore. I've seen stories online about people taking fish oil pills which helped clear their skin, along with Vitamin A supplement. Any truth to this?
Avatar f tn I have also had strange sensations in my head as well as a very itchy scalp and skin crawling feeling in my head as well. All of these symptoms come and go sometimes I have them for a week and then nothing for several weeks then have them again for a couple of weeks then nothing for a few days then back again. Several weeks ago I started having pins and needle type feelings in both cheeks that come and go then started having the sore feeling in my wrists.
288415 tn?1231634102 I sense relief then the symptoms return. Most days I can hear but am constantly aware that my ears are itchy. The challenge is to not itch. If I itch, I usually get flaky stuff that I literally can lift off my inner ear.If I itch too much it becomes wet and begins draining a wet clear fluid. Then at night, whatever side I lay on clogs shut. In the morning there is thick crusty crud that again I try not to pick at. Im obviously in continual circle of symptoms here.
Avatar f tn all itchy arm sufferers....please look into brachioradial pruritus. My arms, and only my arms, have itched for 10 years. no rashes, no psiorias, excema etc. The creams, allergery list is extensive as to what I have tried but nothing worked. ---------------The only thing that helps are ice packs.

Avatar n tn My mom recently complained about itchness of her scalp, just couple days ago, she said her scalp as well as right side of her face is feeling numb and itchy.. maybe her right arm is starting to feel the same too. 1536712 tn?1294046901 Hi! I'm 35 years old and a mother of 3. For a month now I've been itchy all over - more or less. From scalp to soles of feet, but it's vaxing and vaning... I went to se my doc, he did some bloodwork to rule out 'liver or bile duct trouble', as he put it. I got a message from him that the tests were all normal.
Avatar f tn I am 26 yr old female - in pretty good health. I just had my first child in august. I have had very dry itchy scalp my whole life. It never really seemed to bother me- when I got pregnant the dryness and itchyness seemed to be dormant. However after I gave birth the dryness came back in full force. It is on the back of my scalp on the left side near my hairline - starting from the bottoms of my hair line to above my ear- all in my scalp.
Avatar m tn ser-rye-a-sis it's a skin rash, located a lot of times in the scalp's red, itchy, dry scaly rash, sometimes red patchy areas are visible and bumps! Look it up!
Avatar n tn It has been there for a while and it has not changed sizes nor been itchy or irritating in any way. I do not think it is an ingrown hair because it doesn't hurt. Does anybody know what this could be? Thanks.
Avatar f tn I'm a 34 female, I had a sudden Body rash with a small tumor in my right breast which became breast cancer n the surgent removed the tumor and three nods from my under arms! And the doctors told me I had an attack of dermatomayositis with a tumor and a long journey of chemo for 6 months followed by 6 weeks of radiotherapy!
Avatar m tn My neck became tense all the time, started losing hair, had an itchy and painful scalp (felt like there was a million insects biting me) with lumps the size of marbles growing on it. This stopped after i calmed myself down and relaxed more. I was under stress for a couple of months, then (i think) i had a mental breakdown. I dropped out of college to take pressure off.

Avatar f tn If there is no pain and no other neurological symptoms with it, I would just discuss it with my doctor the next time I saw him/her. This is NOT a symptom of a brain tumor or aneurysm. Do you have any other symptoms we should know about? We could address all of them at the same time that way.
Avatar f tn I just want to know if I may have other issues due to my tumor? Here are my long-term symptoms that I had never considered abnormal until now: 1. No sense of smell- I can only smell scents if they are strong, have been like this for years but not when I was a kid. 2. Sugar tooth for life turned into salt tooth about 1.5 years ago. I could live off salty chips but don't. 3.

Avatar n tn The face condition cleared up but I began getting red bumps around my eyes and mouth sometimes and my scalp is itchy. Round Red spots are on my armpits, chest and groin. I was given creams for all these but they just come back. My face isn't bad but the rest doesn't seem to be getting better. The shampoo they gave me doesn't seem to control it that great. The patches on my neck have grown almost entirety to my right side of the neck and a spot on my chin.
Avatar m tn What is the status of your tumor? Did the meds reduce the size of the tumor? When was your last MRI, and did you get a copy of the report? Are you under the care of a neuro endocrinologist? I ask as you may need other hormones. Just because it was fine once, does not mean that it stays fine. It can depend on where your tumor sits that you can have more issues.
Avatar n tn - About 2-1/2 years ago I was diagnosed with scalp psoriasis that has never really gone away, except for temporary spells thanx to Olux scalp mousse. I now have a nickle-sized spot on my calf, outer-ears (mild) and my arse. My derms and docs tell me it's normal and not to worry but like an idiot, I googled it and lo and behold, here I am, worried, and asking you guys questions. - Have you ever heard of psoriasis being a symptom of HIV?
Avatar f tn It seems to pick one of these areas leaving the others feeling normal. The pain can range from an itchy feeling on the scalp to slight pressure to sharp bursts of pain with pressure. Along with this when I wiggle my ears and hold them back I get a tapping in my right ear like someone is lightly tapping a microphone with a slight twitch in my neck below the ear. I have been to the clinic twice, the first time in August I was told it was probably allergies and to take zertec, didn't really help.
Avatar n tn He says that he can do it right in his office, but that kind of scares me seeing as how that is a delicate part of the body. What kind of doctor specializes in cyst removal (tumor removal) and should I seek that kind of doctor's opinion? (2) Cosmetics - Is there any special surgical technique that will prevent scarring, fattening-up of the surgical incision from removing these skull cysts (i.e. laser, ointments after surgery, whatever)?
Avatar n tn I've been reading all the posts and i can relate to most of them. The top of my scalp is sore, itchy and sometimes feels like it producing heat I thought it was because my hair was dry so i started deep conditioning it and that didnt help. I recently have been having back spasms ( i get them from time to time) but this time they have been very consent and for several days i dont know if the two are related.
