Avatar n tn I am 48, generally in good health, no daily medications except my vitamin/mineral supplements I've been taking for the past 10 years. I follow a strict diet with no added sugar or white flour. However, in the past two months, I have gained 18 pounds, feel anxious a lot with waves of extreme dread and am even finding lesions on my scalp. I had a blood test done and my Gyn, but she said I'm not in menopause yet. She did not offer any solution other than a "live with it" attitude.
Avatar f tn I am experiencing waves of warm flashes that seem to originate with my trunk area the spreads to my neck, head and scalp. I then start sweating profusly from my scalp under my eyes aroung my lips and forehead. I have to wear very light clothes and I walk around all winter with shorts and a tank top trying to stay cool. Do you have any suggestions or remedies that my control or stop this?
Avatar f tn I'm on victrelis triple therapy and just recently started to develop really itchy scalp. Feeling like I want to scratch it right off. Any advice?
Avatar f tn Have had symptoms of perimenopause for over a year with excessive unexplained weight gain, sleepless nights, night sweats, anxiety and depression, itchy dry skin etc. one gp I spoke to said that a hormone blood test was pointless as the Pcos would not show an accurate result but a different gp then insisted on it. The blood test came back as requiring no action so now I don’t know what to think. Could the blood test show normal with Pcos but still mean I have perimenopause?
Avatar f tn Yes! I noticed that I'm starting to break out in the barely noticeable rashes, especially on my tummy and thighs.
Avatar f tn I used Clobetesol solution (prescription) for my scalp. I had an itchy scalp which was associated with a rash on my scalp. It worked great.
Avatar n tn Hi, I am visiting my sister. She has just finished her 3rd chemo (taxol/carbo-IV) She is having a time with nausea and it is day 9. she cannot take compazine. she uses zofran but I was told that is not really effective for delayed nausea. Any suggestions??? Also she is complaining she has a very itchy scalp. she uses Eucerin lotion. Any suggestions???
Avatar f tn I put my hair half up half down (mine is long) so I get it on my lower scalp (above my neck, on scalp behind my ears etc) and crown/top of my head. You really dont need it on your hair, just scalp so splitting my hair works best. Only wash it every two days. Dr can prescribe clobetasol for itchy spots if it gets worse. Water, sunshine and keeping stress low also helps a lot:) I hardly have issues anymore.
1148619 tn?1332010984 I know the itchy skin and scalp has been hashed over and I feel like I have a handle on the skin, lotions, humidifier, cool showers, etc but the itchy scalp is not calming down. I wonder what people think while talking to me and I constantly itch scalp. My doc looked and there is no dandruff. I tried hot oil packs, all sorts of different shampoos, etc. thinking of going to salon and see if they have a suggestion. I know I saw somewhere here recently this being mentioned.
Avatar f tn t have scaly, flaky, itchy, red skin; just itchy scalp and some pimples. I also have had no hair loss; if only I could on my legs and underarms, ha ha. That's why I asked if it could be related to rosacea. Has anyone every heard of rosacea spreading to the scalp; I know it can affect your eyes.
Avatar n tn I've never had any issues with my hair, but all of I've noticed when washing it and brushing it alot more is coming out than normally would. And it is alot thinner in just a couple weeks. My scalp is itchy like no other and I've used ever dandruff shampoo, home remedies, even cortisone cream on my scalp...nothing seems to keep the itch away.
7827642 tn?1396958758 15 weeks and 5 days and my scalp has been super itchy here lately as well as parts of my face and my forehead. Sometimes others parts of my body will itch but not all the time. What could be going on? I don't see the doctor again until Tuesday of next week.
Avatar m tn for the last two years I have had steady but slow hair loss and acne, night sweats...I thought it was perimenopause, but in the last couple of weeks, now my scalp burns day and night like it has kerosene on it...the burning moves down into my neck and shoulders. And early in the am, I wake up and can't go back to sleep...My heart starts racing and feels like its going to pound out of my chest. What can this be?
