Common Questions and Answers about Itchy rash virus

itchy

Avatar n tn When we are apart for months at a time, if one of us starts getting itchy, the other one does as well, even though we were miles apart. It is like there is a virus that lays dormant in each of us and when one gets itchy the other one does. I have been to a kinesiologist who said I "tested positive" for chicken pox virus which I had as a child. Does anyone know if this is possible to have the virus effect 2 adults?
Avatar f tn My DD is 13 months and broke out in a terrible rash 1.5 weeks ago. It is really itchy and she is really uncomfortable. I have had her to the doctor twice. The say it is either an allergy or virus. If she is not better by the end of this week, they will refer us to a dermalologist. I am concerned that she is allergic to something. We have cut all dairy and gluten since Friday and don't see any response.
Avatar n tn There is about 3 on the head of my penis and about 5 under the foreskin and what is like a rash. They are not sore or itchy and I feel fine no flu liky symtoms just snizzing a bit not to be concered about. I was wondering if anyone that has had the virus know if what I have is the same or like herpes that they had? Thanks all..
Avatar m tn It could be Shingles, which is related to the virus that causes Chicken Pox. Shingles can start out just like you described. If this is Shingles, you will have to reduce contact with other people to prevent the spread of it. The idea that someone who has had Chicken Pox is immune to it is false. I know this from experience. This is something you cannot delay in seeing a doctor about. You need to go now. Call your doctor and get an emergency appointment for today.
Avatar n tn Over time, the skin sheds where the rash is and it becomes extremely itchy. I am not sure what kind of rashes you can get in that area and am getting ready to go to doctor. It couldnt be herpes, could it???
Avatar f tn About a week ago, my right arm became extremely itchy in a few different spots, but there were no bumps, no welts, no redness other than when I gave in and scratched it, no indication whatsoever of why those spots were itchy. Then about 2 days ago, I started getting two different kind of bumps on my wrist, the inside of my elbow and my upper inside arm.
Avatar f tn It is really itchy and when I itch it and touch another spot, that spot gets itchy but not to the extent of the original rash. I have very sensitive skin and things like scented soap and deodorant make me break out, but this time I'm not sure what's going on.
Avatar f tn I developed an itchy area on my side that lasted for over a week and then broke out into a circular area or raised red itchy and painful rash. It is approx half dollar size. I have been treating w/hydocortisone cream without help. The area no longer feels very itchy. It feels lightly painful. The pain seems to go deep into my body. I am on Lamictal. Wondering if this is possibly a Lamictal rash? Shingles? I am 46. Ellen L.
Avatar n tn I was put on antibiotics and actually started to feel better. The rash is still there but not as itchy and the painful urination went away. I was confused when my tests came back today negative for bv, trich, and yeast. Only a trace amount of bacteria was found. Could that trace amount cause my symptoms or is there something else?? Thank you.
Avatar n tn I took her to the doctor and he was able to see the hive-like area of her arm that was still hot to the touch and a smooth, red, lacy-like, not itchy rash on her body still. She has not had a fever since Friday and has never, at any point, been nauseous or had a runny nose or diarrhea. He prescribed two medications (Cefadroxil and Prednisolone) and we began giving them to her that afternoon. The rash seemed to subside and the patch on her arm was not as flared up.
Avatar n tn headache swollen glands in the neck, diarrhea, nausea, itchy skin what maybe rash and night sweats. I hear all symptoms come at once so this clearly a scary sign. I caleld to ask her but she said she is not infected and tested rcently. Reading online about these symptoms has only left me to believe that i have contracted the virus. I have got tested at 3 weeks negative, but i know thats too early.
Avatar n tn I have a maculopapular rash on both my legs. They're red and itchy and i would like to know if this could be a symptom of hiv. I had oral sex and protected vaginal sex with a prostitute about two months ago.
2114131 tn?1399240871 I have finally been successfully treated for hep c. 3 months after the end of the treatment I'm still free of the hep c virus. However, the real bad itchy rash that I had during the time I had hep c has come back. During my treatment with sofosbuvir and daclastavir ( I think it's spelled like that... (-: ) it had almost completely vanished. Is it possible that I still have the same rash even though I'm cured from hep c or should I worry that the virus is coming back?
Avatar f tn s important to know that we can be contagious at any time, since we can shed virus (have virus on the surface of the skin) even without symptoms. In fact, according to Terri Warren, up to 90% of HSV+ people are unaware that they carry HSV, due to a lack of symptoms. It's how the virus is mostly shed. The recommendation is to always disclose your HSV status before sexual contact, since transmission can occur, even without symptoms. An outbreak is not necessary to transmit.
Avatar n tn After a few days, a rash appears as a band or patch of raised dots on the side of the trunk or face. The rash develops into small, fluid-filled blisters which begin to dry out and crust over within several days. When the rash is at its peak, symptoms can range from mild itching to extreme and intense pain. Treatment of shingles includes antiviral drugs, steroids, analgesics and anti viral eye drops.I sincerely suggest you to consult a gynecologist and get it ruled out. I hope that helps.
Avatar m tn I did have some kissing and same episode with the guy 2 weeks ago , is the rash to be considered as hiv rash or hiv rash is different , I have the rash under my arms it's typically like mosquito bites and very itchy
Avatar f tn Hi and sorry about the itchy rash. Could be an allergy and perhaps due to the keflex, but could also be eczema. I have something like that on my legs. It starts out extremely itchy but if I scratch it (I don't do this any more) then it stops itching but becomes more red and like a bunch of individual small scabs and then it goes away. I also have it on my hands but there it starts as very tiny clear/colorless blisters that end of peeling or itching. It is dyshidrotic eczema.

Avatar f tn Ok so I have cluster headaches and they started in the beginning of November well 3 days after my first headache I started to get an itchy rash on my chest and arms and they finally went away just this last week but I also have a rash on the palms of my hands and soles of my feet and a few on my genital area now and I'm scared anyone know what it could possibly be? I have been using hydrocortisone cream daily 3 times a day and it's starting to disappear.
Avatar m tn How about my rash, because I just found online a person with HIV+ have rash on his leg and arm that itch like crazy. Thanks in advance.
Avatar f tn I dyed my hair about a week ago, and yesterday I woke up to a rash behind my ears and on my chest. It looks a lot like a heat rash which is what I iniatially thought it was, but it seems to have spread to my jaw line as well. It isnt itchy and the bumps are flesh colored. Could I be having an allergic reaction to the dye or something else? Or is there a virus and that's how it's presenting itself?
Avatar f tn At first they thought it was a systemic allergic reaction, but the rash went on my palms and they decided I had some sort of virus. the rash looked like hives at times. sometimes it would be red dots and other times it would spread into large red patches. i was on prednisone for about two and a half weeks and came off it last week.
