I have read numerous times there have been situations with HepC where the palms of your hands will become red, itchy and hot....bring it to your dr's attn as soon as you can.......it may be something else, but it may all be a part of your disease. It all started a few months ago with itchy palms, and hardening of the skin of my palms. Now, my fingers itch, especially between the thumb and the index finger, There are no blisters or pus, but there is cracked and white and yellowish scaly skin on my fingers.I am on synthroid for hypothyroid, and I've had mild psoriasi on my elbows before. My 2 year old daughter has severely itchy palms of her hands and soles of her feet, to the point her hands are swollen and bright red and the bottoms of her feet are bright red, her hands and feet also get very hot to the touch. ve been reading the forum threads - very helpful - but no one has noted my exact problem, which is itchy bumps on the palms of my hands. Not red, or white, they seem to come from within. My Dr. said they are probably not bites, as insects do not break the skin of the palms (too thick), and thinks it might be an allergy (to WHAT???).
He gave me some corticosteroid cream (this one has Fluocinonide), but it hasn't helped much yet (have used it for a little over a day).

The small itchy bumps on your fingers can be due to contact dermatitis or dyshidrotic eczema. For the itchy bumps, take antihistaminics like Benadryl(causes drowsiness) and Claritin and apply some calamine lotion on the rashes as it helps in soothing the skin.You can also apply mild steroid cream on the rash.If the symptoms persists then oral steroids may be needed which are available on prescription.
Also keep the area well moisturized with good moisturiers.

The bumps cover my entire palm and are on both hands, I actually think they may be on my fingers too, but if so, they are very small. The bumps vary in size. The bumps stay on my palms and slowly fade away as my hands dry out (This takes about 20 minutes at the most). The bumbs are hard, almost callous like, slightly itchy, and mildly painful, especially in the creases of my hands when I try to bend my hands.

Hand problems
Recently noticed that about 3 days after finishing Pennicillin vk 500mg for dental infection, I began to notice I have bulging blue veins in both my palms and blue almost rope like veins that are very visible on my fingers of both hands. I also have blister like swellings that are skin color on both palms. The swellings are where palms meet fingers.
I have no problems with the backs of my hands and the only other problem I have is at the top of my rear end crack which is extremely red and hard with hard vertical wrinkles, the same ones that appear to be forming on my hands and fingers. It is extremely itchy and skin does sluff off. I moisturize my hands often daily but they are still extremely dry.
Sometimes there are small bumps under the palms of my skin, they itch but do not break out or form lesions.
