Back to present day and the back and scalp issue returned and I have now started to get the hives in the morning on my palms and face. My lifestyle then and now are very different, the only similar things are I have started to excercise again, but I excercise before 12 noon and the hives appear over night when I sleep. Anybody came across this?
For the past several weeks I have had palms that itch. They bother more in the morning. Usually there will be a blister that is sensitive to the touch along with a rash that can be felt but not seen on the palms of my hand. My hands have also become unusually dry. I had seen a doctor, was given a shot and put on a six day pack of steroid. It cleared up, but then returned. I thought it might be an allergic reaction to a new product I was using.
then I had a severe reaction to penecillin followed by ampicillin where the palms of my hands and the soles of my feet became so itchy I almost could not sleep and then during the night swelled up like cushions - like a horrible burn. After taking histamine the swelling went away in about three days then all of it peeled, again like a burn. Now I have begun to develop your really itchy bumps on the sides of my hands, exactly as descibed which really itch and become painful then go away.
It is called Palmoplanter psorriasis and effects the soles of the feet and palms of the hands. You get clear looking bumps under the skin that may burst sometimes, and you get scaly peeling skin. Causes are stress, smoking, and sometimes an allergy to nickel. There is no cure, except for easing the symptoms. I have been using Aquaphur ointment by neutragen(I believe) and rub in on my hands at night and use white cotton gloves to sleep.
Sometimes on the ends of the fingers the split in the skin is deeper, in which case the skin feels hard and numb and takes longer to peel off.
Exfoliative keratolysis may precede an itchy form of eczema in which there are small fluid-filled blisters.
Emollient(moisturizing) hand creams especially those containing urea, lactic acid, or silicone will help the condition, steroid ointments do not improve this.

I have a small itchy bumps on the palms of my hands, and fewer on the tops of my hands. They are very red in the morning and itch very badly in the middle of the night and in the morning. Then during the day the redness fades and they become less itchy. There seem to be more and more bumps everyday. I also had the same kind of rash on my stomach, but that has disappeared, though my stomach still itches.
the one i know of that is one of the more serious starts usually in the palms of your hands and bottoms of your feet then progresses to the rest of your body (ICP) and i think most of the others have a rash that goes along with it.... a common not so serious one is also PUPPP but im sure thats with a rash...
Pompholyx primarily involves the hands and fingers and then may involve the feet. The first stage is acute and presents as itchy blisters on the hands, fingers and toes. Then the chronic stage shows more peeling, cracking, or crusting. Then the skin heals up, or the blistering may start again. I went to sleep and yesterday in the morning they were gone. However, last night the bumps and the itch returned, again, nothing intense, without any other symptoms, I didn't have pain or fever, sweating or something.

I'm 33 weeks and everytime I lay down, my hands and feet itch so bad that it keeps me awake at night. I've tried washing them, rubbing with lotion and ice packs to try and numb the pain but nothing helps. Has anyone else experiecnced this? It's 2 in the morning so I'm debating on just waiting until morning to call my doctor, it's just so uncomfortable I don't know what to do. Anything helps.
My mother has been having problems with her palms. Just the palms. It’s itchy, scaly, dry, cracked, and just painful for her. She’s gone to the doctor, but everything they have had her use does not work. It’s nowhere else on her body. Although she does have a patch of skin like that on the back of her neck every once in a while. But her palms have never healed. What could it be, and what things do you recommend to help? The doctors have not been able to do anything. She’s desperate.
It could be an allergy to alcohol, or certain types of alcohol, and totally unrelated to the mtx. Or the mtx is affecting your liver and kidney function to the point that it can't process the alcohol, leading to the itchy skin reaction. Either way, it sounds like you shouldn't be consuming alcohol until you find out the cause of your symptoms. This is something you don't want to test on your own, because allergies can be tricky.
