I am a 37 yr. old female. sometimes when i wake up in the morning my legs will itch badly. It will sometimes last for about 30 min to an hour. It is a itch that u cant ignore. I will have to sit down and just rub my legs till is goes away. This has been happening since high school. There is no rash no nothing just itching. But not every day. My mom said she did the same thing but it just finally stopped after a several years. Mine is still going on.

I too am allergic to most everything. Trees grasses weeds dogs cats molds and sensitive to almost every chemical on the planet. I used to be a clean freak and scented most everything - now I can smell Alvin the chipmunk's cologne. HA! I also have been diagnosed with Vocal Chord dysfunction, and after experiencing a few episodes of anaphylaxis, I now have an epi pen. I've been weaning myself off Zyrtec and am now on about 1mg in the evenings.
I use it sparingly, rubbing it into my skin in circular motions. I do my entire legs every morning or second morning and I moisturise at night. My legs are completely healed and clear, with only scars left over which will fade over time. Make sure to use steroid cream sparingly as if you use too much too constantly you will get hives which disappear within hours but still better to avoid them.
Im glad Im not the only one with "itchy" legs. I have had "itchy" legs for years. I have been told it was all in my head. And have tired almost everything for dry itchy skin. Its mostly my lower legs, the front and side. Sometimes its my upper leg. When they itch, it feels like they are itchy from the bones. I end up itching them so much that I tear my legs open, and usually get a faint scar. They seem dry usually, but are as smooth and soft as my hands are.
t have any allergies that I am aware of. the itching seems to happen after a shower and at night/in the morning ( I think because of temperature changes in my skin?). I don't know if I just have hypersensitive skin or what? it is odd that it would just come on out of the blue. It started last fall during the last trimester of my pregnancy. I considered that I may be allergic to the chlorine in my water? I may try to pick up a water filter. Does anyone know if these work?

The whole night I was itching my legs. The next day I had chills/fever/sweats and the muscle aches. I went home and kept itching my legs trying to rest my body. Finally I examine my legs and a blotchy red itchy rash has appears. Looks like an allergic reaction rash and I saw my doctor and he came me a creme and oral medication to ease the symptoms. Please help me! I'm a 19 year old female living in the southeaster coastline. My skin itches so terribly on my legs and arms I cannot sleep. Recently, while traveling in Uganda, Africa (about two weeks into the trip), I started waking up with red itchy hands in the morning. Hi about a week ago I noticed lumps on my leg, which itched really badly. Over the week more have appeared on my left leg, I have about 5 now and this morning another two on my right ankle. They are still really itchy constantly. Please could anyone tell what they are from my pictures and advise me what to do?
Stretch marks, there is really nothing you can do to stop them -trust me I got all the way up til the end without a single one and now I have them all across in just a couple weeks. As for the itching, I have the same problem - awfully itchy belly rash. The best thing to do is force yourself not to itch and rub lotion on every time you feel the need. If you can manage that, I promise it will get easier in a couple days. Still itchy but not constantly and not as bad and it will start to go away.

So I kind of found something that provided me some sort of relief. First off my dermatologist prescribed me two different antihistamines, a general form of Allegra to take in the morning, and then 1-3 of another (not sure of the name, hydroxyz... something or other) at night. Also, I found that when I take my showers at night, after I have been up all day the itching is not there (or at least it's not as prevalent).
All my life I can recall going to bed, and often having extremely itchy legs; especially around the sides of my knees. When I was younger I would wake up in the middle of the night with such a strong urge to itch that I would sometime use a blade from a pair of scissors to relieve the itching, which often made my legs bleed. Even now, sometimes during the day if I'm out my legs can get so itchy I have to find a bathroom to itch my legs as the feeling is so insatiable.
I'm 25 Weeks. I'll bave to look into this, I've never heard of them & I'll definitly call my doctor in the morning.
I am 28 years old and I have started walking to lose some weight but every time that I go walking for more than 15 minutes or jogging for more than 5 I get this feeling in my legs that feels like I have a thousand bugs crawling up and down my legs. They start feeling really itchy. It is fairly uncomfortable and I was just wondering if you knew what this was or if there is something that I can do to stop this feeling. Should I see my doctor? The cold water/ icepack remedy and Sarna anti-itch lotion I suggested in an earlier post to relieve itchy legs, only proved to be a temporary solution. The itching came back after a few days.
My doctor perscribed Fluocinonide Cream USP, 0.05%, and after a few days the itching stopped, and has not returned. I have no idea what caused it in the first place, but it is gone, thankfully.
okay. i need help my legs are super itchy i am 15, a female who lives in south florida.. i have itchy legs and have had it for a year already. it is after i shave. i cant use shaving cream cause i know im allergic to it. i want to wax but am afraid it maybe worse. my mom doesnt under stand . she says i have to put lotion cause there dry but usually just makes it worse and i get more red bumps then i did before.
