Avatar n tn My legs have been itchy every day since i was born. im 21 and i have always had itchy legs. when i was younger my family would all scream at me as once i started i couldnt seem to stop. the itching gets so bad that it annoys you and fustrates you and it becomes painfull. My dad used to smack my legs where it was itching and it used to help but it didnt last too long only for about 5-10 mins and i would be scratching again.
Avatar f tn When I was a teenager I used to run a lot and never suffered from this. Now I'm in my 30's I suffer from itchy legs even when I walk briskly - forget about running! My doctor wasn't any help. I too have tried wearing different fabrics, but it doesn't help. It happens no matter what the weather/temperature is, and starts up after about 20 mins. Very frustrating because I want to get running again. Any help would be appreciated.
Avatar n tn My itchy legs occur after I've walked for at least 20-30 minutes and it happens in any weather - warm, hot, cold. It feels like the itching is inside, under the skin and sometimes it is so unbearable that I end up with scratches all over my legs because I feel that I have to do the scratching to relive the itching. Does anyone know what is the cause of this?
Avatar f tn For the past two months my legs have been insanely itchy. It gets worse at night and there are mosquito like bumps on them. It's JUST my legs. Not my arms, stomach, back or anything else. Just my legs. I was told bed bugs, but I've washed all the sheets, checked the mattress, box spring and bed frame...but there is nothing, not to mention my husband hasn't been affected. I was told scabies, but I'm the only one who's affected.
Avatar n tn Just my lower legs though--nowhere else. Sometimes it's painfully itchy--you guy know what I mean! I use a combo of benadryl ointment and oral benadryl, which of course puts me to sleep so I can't take it during the day.
Avatar f tn My seven year old daughter has small red dots that are itchy on her chest, back, arms and legs. She always gets this in the winter and I'm wondering what over the counter medication you can recommend to help her. We had her tested for allergies last year and that was negative. She has fair and sensitive skin. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
Avatar n tn My son had similar spots, & we found the culprit was his watch,he was allergic to the metal on the bottom of it,he had these spots in his hair,& very itchy,we took him to a speacialist & had him remove his watch,he also had them there,we could not beleive it was caused by that, but once his watch was removed the spots all cleared up & had not had a problem since he had went months with this until we found the culprit,Good Luck.
Avatar n tn I know the feeling. It's very irritating. Something similar happened to me. I had an outbreak of an very itchy rash on my forearms, wrists, stomach, and legs, and some places on my back. I don't know where it came from. I thought it could have been from New detergents or coming into contact with poison oak, but that wasn't the case. No matter what remedy I tried, it did not worth. Topical creams wouldn't help either so I had to get a steroid shot from Urgent Care because it had gotten unbearable.
6712392 tn?1393712278 I also have pregnancy-induced eczema. both my children had it when they were newborns. my oldest hasn't had it since (he's only two), and my youngest has it so bad.we.go through a third of a tube of.his prescription steroid.cream every application. had to shave his head because it was so bad on his scalp. not sure if there's a connection, but I find it weird that I only got it in pregnancy...
Avatar n tn Not to mention that I'm getting married in a few months, and I would hate for my itchy legs to ruin my wedding day and my honeymoon! I have already had two doctors tell me "I don't know what else you can do", so any suggestions on what this is or how I can treat it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Avatar f tn For a few months now I have had a mysterious rash its small red itchy papules that were not filled with any fluid they look like the healing stages of chicken pox. First it started on my breasts and upper torso in the front only. I went to my GP to find out what it could be.
341551 tn?1266984330 Within the past week I've been so itchy and I noticed that I have red bumps all over my legs and arms. I'm not allergic to anything and I've never had a reaction to anything I've used. Plus I haven't done anything different in the past few far as eating or lotions, body wash etc. But I have been so damn itchy, its bad! And its just on my arms and legs. It feels like I have poison ivy or something! Does anyone else have this or know what it could be from??
Avatar n tn I took him to his mother's clinic doctor cause he is always pulling and kinda of scrathing at his butt. I ask him what is a matter and he says it itchy. So I check to make sure he was cleaning himself good and it was..he wears loose is not red around the anus or sore looking...but he is constantly pulling at his butt. The clinic doctor look at him and said he did not see any redness or anything and listened to his bowels.
Avatar n tn Hi all: This Friday will be my 5th week on meds. I just developed dry, itchy skin on face around mouth, under nose and chin. Has anyone else developed this. Is this part of the sx or am I developing an allergy? It is so irritating. I bought benadryl gel and put it on on the way home from work. It relieved it after a few minutes. I just washed my face and put on some more before bed. It burns a little when I put it on. I'm going to take a capful of liquid benadryl now and see if it goes away.
Avatar m tn My husband has been itching on his lower back and legs for some time now. I usually use lotions, or benadryl to stop the itching. I would like to find out the cause of it, maybe dry skin or something. When he gets in bed is usually when it starts. We use ivory soap, and gain regular for sometime now. As he is allergic to tide, etc. I frequently change the sheets, vacuum the mattress and etc. just to maintain a clean enviornment, as we have small children.
Avatar m tn I am a male and do not shave my legs or belly but I keep getting small blisters almost like an ingrown hair or infected follicle on my upper legs and lower abdomen. Is that all it is or could it be something worse and how do I prevent it? I have psoriasis also if that helps with an answer.
1755624 tn?1312480207 Hello, Blisters and itchy rash on skin of children can be due to viral infections or allergic reaction. I suggest you to get her evaluated from a pediatrician rather than trying any medicines on your own. Another possibility can be insect bites or scabies bites. Till that time, avoid using any lotions and creams for the meantime. Use a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil and apply calamine lotion on the itchy skin. Also use cotton clothes and change the clothes twice.
Avatar n tn Well for the past 4 weeks I have been scratching my itchy legs and some days my arms and back itch too but not as severe as my legs. I have a large bruise on my right inner thigh and small ones on my left inner thigh and weird but I have small bruises too on both my ankle area. I happen to take Prilosec for GERD and have been ANEMIC almost all my life. I also have what they call HIATAL HERNIA which affects the Gerd somewhat more. I am going to see my DR.
Avatar n tn My 20 month old has been getting itchy red bumps that look like bug bites. Mostly we are finding them on his legs with one on each wrist. New ones come up all the time but only in these two places. The bumps ooze a clear liquid. They come and then start to go away and then all of a sudden he has two more. I have cats but they are outside cats. We have checked for fleas - none. No one else in the house has any type of bump. Can you help?
Avatar n tn Ive had a rash all over my body mostly inner thighs, legs, back, buttocks and arms for 5 months. Ive been to doctors they tell me its folliculitious???? Avatar m tn I consistently get a itchy, red, blistery rash after sun exposure. It doesn't really have to be that much exposure and it just started in the last couple years. I'm 30. Does anyone know what this is and if it's serious? What can I do to relieve the intense itch? Is it dangerous?
Avatar f tn On this time, approx 2 days later my lower legs became intensely itchy (with no rash or spots visable) i treated this with cold packs and calamine lotion. then a day or so later my arms became itchy, then my stomach and upper legs, neck and back. small pimple like bumps began to appear all over. there were about half a dozen spots on my stomach, 30 or so on my right arm, half a dozen on my left arm, 4 or so on my upper chest, a dozen or more on each of my legs and several on my back.
Avatar f tn OMG!! I have it too!! The Itchy is so severe!!! I have it on the backs of both legs and both arms and around the ankle area up! I have tried everything and been thru nearly 2 tubes of cortizone..the cortizone helps the itch somewhat but doesnt last to long.Does anyone know what the hell this rash is??
Avatar m tn This all started for me right around the time of puberty. I would take a shower and end up with itchy legs. I would run around the back yard like a chicken with my head cut off. The itch would finally go away. As I have gotten older it has moved to my arms too. Sometimes my torso and head. It almost always happens when I take a shower. Now within the last few years I itch/burn and feel like I'm going crazy without taking a shower. I even went so far as to stop showering.
Avatar f tn all itchy arm sufferers....please look into brachioradial pruritus. My arms, and only my arms, have itched for 10 years. no rashes, no psiorias, excema etc. The creams, allergery list is extensive as to what I have tried but nothing worked. ---------------The only thing that helps are ice packs.
Avatar f tn Hello, From the symptoms and pictures,it looks like nummular eczema(stubborn, itchy rash that forms coin-shaped patches on the skin.Found mainly in adults but can oocur in children also) , hives(red, itchy, raised areas of skin that appear in varying shapes and sizes. They have a tendency to change size rapidly and to move around, disappearing in one place and reappearing in other places, often in a matter of hours. Many cases of hives are "idiopathic," meaning no cause is known.
Avatar n tn hello my question is that i have all of a sudden gotten these itchy red spots on my legs on my elbows and in the back of my arms... i am not allergic to anything from what i know of... i started taking the SlimQuick pills to help with me losing weight and would just like to know if that is what is causing the itchiness?
Avatar m tn But on the same day, I broke out in a mild rash. It is moderately itchy on my hips, arms, legs, and trunk. If I don't scratch it, it is barely visible. But if I scratch, I get hive-like welts that appear quickly and then the itch is worse. It seems worse first thing in the morning and then later in the evenings, but is ok at night and during the day (thankfully.) I know rashes can be triggered by viral infections such as the flu.
Avatar f tn I keep on having these red, itchy bumps all over my body. They started about 3 weeks ago. At first I believed they were bedbugs bites. I had 2 different exterminators looking for bugs. Did not find a single bug of any kind. The red, itchy, look-like-bites are more on my ankles, in both sides of legs, in the back (around the area where is my bra). Went to my Dr he said I have chicken pox (this was my 2nd time in 18 years), no fever.
