itchy legs and pregnancy

I'm on my third pregnancy - 9 weeks - and my legs have been incredibly itchy, starting a week before I found out I was pregnant. Is this at all related to being pregnant? I never had this with my other two but I can't stop the itching - especially at night!

I've noticed when I shave my legs they become extremely itchy after and weird enough my leg hairs don't grow as fast as they used to and I always try somehow to put cream on them as well. Is this pregnancy related? Anyone else?

Sounds like aquagenic pruritus, I've also had it for years, no cure just learned to cope with it.

Rashes are common in pregnancy. As long as its not itchy/oozing, not purple, and is blanching (meaning if you press on it it goes away for a second) you should be fine.

I've been very itchy. I don't know if it's from the cold weather or from pregnancy. Usually during winter my legs itch, but nothing else really. Now, it's my legs stomach, and breasts. It gets worst at night and when I wake up I find scatch marks on me not realizing I'm scatching myself. I do put lotion on and it really does that work that well. Is anyone else experiencing this??

I'm super itchy on the back of my legs. I have no rash and my skin isint dry. What else could it be?! Its driving me crazy!!

The bumps appear on my upper arms and legs and are VERY itchy! I bought a skin cream from Neutrogena specifically for this. It actually says "for red bumps on arms and legs" in the name. It worked well but smells terrible! I'll go find it and post the exact name if your interested.

yes tell your doctor as there is a very rare illness called intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy it affects the liver, but it could also be cus estrogen is high during pregnancy and causes the itching and usually disappears after birth, so yes make sure u mention it...i get really itchy legs i itch them til they are red raw...

My chest and stomach and legs are always so itchy. I try so hard not to scratch but it's hard!

I've been so itchy lately and it's getting rediculous. I'm 29 weeks and I just recently saw a post on Facebook about ICP (intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy) and it seems to mostly fit my symptoms but I also have hepatitis c and I know that can make you itchy when your levels are off (which currently they are and I'm seeing a GI doctor next week). My worry is that it is not my hepatitis and is this ICP.

My legs were swollen few weeks back... I do a lot of walking... Swelling is not present anymore... But there is lot of itching in my palm and sole... What problems might b there with my kidney and liver??? What measures I have to take???

ve had it most of my pregnancy. Baths with oils help and lotion.

I experience that as well but it happened before the pregnancy as well. I think carper triggers the itch.

Has anyone else happens to have itchy legs and feet once waking up?? I'm 21+6 and I keep getting that everyone I wake up!!

With my last baby, my legs swelled so much, I could barely walk, my legs were itchy and when you pressed on them it would leave an indent. I later found out that I had preclampsia (sp) This was around 8 months. I would get it checked. Better to be safe.

Im glad Im not the only one with "itchy" legs. I have had "itchy" legs for years. I have been told it was all in my head. And have tired almost everything for dry itchy skin. I read a comment for curing bilateral itchy legs a while back and it has totally worked for me and I want to share it! My legs started itching bilaterally all of a sudden and would really itch more after a shower and at night time when I was in bed. It was driving me crazy! My legs have been itchy every day since i was born. im 21 and i have always had itchy legs. when i was younger my family would all scream at me as once i started i couldnt seem to stop. the itching gets so bad that it annoys you and fustrates you and it becomes painfull. i have itchy legs and have had it for a year already. it is after i shave. i cant use shaving cream cause i know im allergic to it. i want to wax but am afraid it maybe worse. my mom doesnt under stand . she says i have to put lotion cause there dry but usually just makes it worse and i get more red bumps then i did before. ive heard im not the only one but its embarrasing i live in florida and i cant be wearing long pants during the summer.

I'm 26 year old female..I live in Bermuda and i have very itchy legs..It started about three years ago..After a hurricane hit Florida(which is where i was living at the time).I went to the Hospital and they gave me creams..it worked for awhile and then i moved to Bermuda..I didn't have problems until 8 months later..I would take a bath or shower and shave my legs.Then i would pat dry and put lotion on..At the times i was using scented everything.

t getting the soap off my legs. Between more vigilant in the shower about rinsing my legs and using Keri lotion, the problem went away.

He has been coming home for the past month with itchy legs and itchy arms. He lays next to me and I begin to itch like crazy too. What can we do to stop this I have tried cortezon and that doesnt help. Iam tired of this problem can someone help us?
