Avatar m tn some of the blotches are kinda raised, and on my left wrist i have about 4 red spots that look like midge bites. my other side of my hands has a few red spots on them too. they are quite itchy and i thought it might possibly be scabies? they sometimes get very itchy and just look unsightly. i have just noticed there are a few spots on my foot aswell. i noticed on my penis shaft that there are about 3-5 similar spots. these do not itch. they look like red fordyce spots.
Avatar n tn It is very itchy and once i scratch it alot, red blotches appear. The only thing that feels good is to burn my hands under hot water or heat. Please help me!
Avatar n tn I have red blotches on my arm which appeared on my arm several months ago. It causes no pain. When I massage my arm the blotches disappear for a couple of minutes. Also sometimes the blotches are gone(like after I take a shower) but mostly daily it is there. I am thinking that it might have to do something with blood circlution. Does anybody know what this is?
Avatar m tn for the past couple months, i have been waking up with several red spots/blotches on my skin. sometimes on my arms, hands, shoulders and occasionally on my legs. for weeks i thought they were bug bites and tried and failed to find any bugs. then i thought it was allergy, but changing soap and laundry detergent had no effect. the red spots are not raised at all, and look more like little burn marks, and they do not usually itch at all, although if i get them on my hands they itch slightly.
Avatar n tn Hi, can anyone tell me if Red and hot tops of hands are a sign of HIV infection. This is just a general enquiry. Thanks.
1372757 tn?1305916571 Is it a real, itchy rash with blisters etc? Or is it just funky looking red blotches? I have the funky looking red blotches that are about 2" across but they don't itch. Lotion helps mine. I was going to say that you may be having an allergic reaction, but then you said you aren't having the same response on your legs, so it isn't an allergy. Guess I'm not much help... sorry about that.
1627703 tn?1314917448 i started getting these red blotches on my arms and hands more frequently lately, ive had them before but the werent to the point they are now. Avatar f tn I also seem to have red lumps/blotches appear around my body. So far had a few on my waist, then one on my shoulder, one on my back that seem to come and go but don't hurt. My palms of hands can be also super itchy and again this morn were a bit red at the base of hand. Any ideas what it is? should I be worried?
Avatar n tn I have very red palms and fingers, with white or skin color blotches, as well as the bottom of my feet are red. However my hands and feet are almost always cold. The closest explnation from internet searching was Palmar erythema, as suggest in the above post. Palmar erythema can be a feature of chronic liver disease, pregnancy, thyrotoxicosis, rheumatoid arthritis, polycythaemia and rarely chronic febrile diseases, chronic leukaemia, or shoulder-hand syndrome.
1926469 tn?1322953650 I have always heard that the red blotches on the palms can he from the heart.
Avatar f tn For the past two days I've noticed multiple very puffy blotches of skin on my scrotum pop up. These blotches are about the size of half a dime and there's roughly 3 of them. They aren't itchy all the time, but when they are.... they're REALLY itchy. At first they were relatively small and I assumed that it was just a minor irritation. When I scratch them they become red-white and protrude from the skin.
765609 tn?1241707272 The same thing is happening to me on my wrists and hands. Small red blotches that are not bumps and dont itch or cause any pain at all. I wouldnt even know it existed if I didnt see them. When I apply pressure they disappear and then turn right back to red.
Avatar n tn I live in the tropics, during humid months I breakout in seriously itchy red blotches, can occur almost everywhere, although more often than not, crutch, thighs, arms & torso. I can temporaryily kill it with 'dharni lotion', an alcohol based blotch cure, but it will pop up again, in a different place next time. Then again in the same place after a period of time.
Avatar f tn I started getting red (slighty raised) itchy blotches on my wrists and around my knees one morning. It was very cold, and not too itchy either. It seems like and allergic reaction to something (my mum said I might have a virus or something) and the doctors won't see me unless I'm also having breathing problems or something like that - I'm perfectly fine apart from the slightly itchy red blotches.
Avatar f tn Hello, It can be due to urticaria or dermatographism. Urticaria is red, itchy, raised areas of skin that appear in varying shapes and sizes. Take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin. You can also apply calamine lotion on the rash. It will help in soothing the skin. A mild corticosteroid cream like dermacort will also help. If the symptoms persist then please get an evaluation done form a dermatologist.
Avatar m tn I have Graves Disease and have had my thyroid removed. I have circular red blotches on my chest that are real itchy. Recently my doctor raised my synthroid significantly. Should I be concerned?
Avatar n tn Hello all. I have developed red skin blotches about 5mm to 7mm in diameter on my body. Total time is one month since I first noticed them. They first appeared on my chest, then spread to my stomach, back and finally to the insides of my arms and legs. They seem to be under the skin, not on top. They are not raised like bumps and they do NOT itch at all. When slight pressure is applied to the skin area, they disappear, then reappear right after.
Avatar f tn Hi there, It is difficult to confirm the exact cause without a complete clinical examination. Red blotches on the skin may be caused by an allergic reaction to pollen, detergents, foods and medication. Another possibility is Erythema multiforme .In this condition there are patches of red skin that may be raised or itchy. It may be seen after viral infections; use of medications etc.Autoimmune disorders like lupus can also cause red blotches.
Avatar f tn Hello, Erythema multiforme presents with mildly itchy (but itching can be very severe), pink-red blotches, symmetrically arranged and starting on the extremities. It often takes on the classical "target lesion" appearance with a pink-red ring around a pale center. Hives can erupt as pink red blotches but it is very rare for hives to persist for so long (like after 6 weeks).
Avatar m tn I have red/purple blotches on my skin in my armpits. They don't itch or hurt. They are not dry or flaky, just rather large red/purple blotches. I have no idea what this is, if it's bad, or how to get rid of them. They are very unsightly and I would very much like for them to be gone! Do I need to see a Doctor? Thanks!
Avatar f tn I've come out with these red blotches all over my stomach - their not itchy or sore.
Avatar n tn s just not what people want to see on a pic.... loads of red dots absolutely everywhere. On my hands they seem kind of like warts but I have had them checked and there not. I have been given some E45 cream in a big tub but I'm still concerned. Someone said it could be a problem with the liver or even baby. I have my midwife coming on the 3rd I just don't want to be covered in them by time she does come see me.
Avatar f tn Two red blotches appeared on chest. Five days later, after using Dial soap, my chest and stomach were covered in red bumps. They aren't itchy and don't bother me except for their appearance. Could these be from allergies? Should I go to the doctor?
Avatar n tn I have big blotches of red bumpiness on my abdomen, small blotches on one side of my neck, little bumps in blotch-like patches on my wrists, and now also between my pinky and ring finger. The newer, smaller bumps are not as red as the older, bigger blotches. I saw a doctor because a few big doses of benadril didn't help. I was diagnosed w/ hives, and started steroidal treatment 5 days ago. Neither the oral steroidal tx or the cream have helped. Benadril continues to be ineffective.
Avatar n tn I was wondering what could cause a red itchy blotches on testicles(have had this for about 1 year), i dont think its a STD cause im a virgin but at the same time im not sure if you can get an STD without haveing sex. when i sweet it seems to itch more then normal and the blotches turn bright red. what could it be... what kind of doctor should i see?
Avatar n tn Good Day, I hope you are all well. Please could you kindly assist me, I have a huge problem with skin particularly on my hands. Its very itchy and each time I scratch I get dark marks. I'm not sure if it the kind of food that I eat but I've been using the same bathing soap, washing detergents as well as the same body cream. Is there any cream that I can use to get rid of the marks and stop the itching?
