itchy eyes in babies

The redness cont...fine in a.m. to red in eve.--more so in the left. After a 1 mo. of this, I saw my eye dr. for my yearly. I told him I work on the comp. all day and have for yrs and no itchiness. He said it was allergies & gave me Pataday. It stung so I discont. & called & he put me on Elestat. After 2-1/2 wks, the redness cont.,+ still using artif tears 6x a day+ felt dry on the inner white of my eyes where red.

My eye feels like there is something inside the upper lid. This has been occurring everyday but it seems to alternate. It never occurs in both eyes. I've never had this problem before and want to know how to get rid of it. I don't wear contacts only reading glasses. Help!!

Oh, and about the itchy eyes, I used OTC 'Refresh", which the pharma said was better for some reason than the OTC product my mom always used. Also, she recommended sunglasses and although I can't tell you why this would help, I think they did.

It could be allergies are an eye infection. It's best to get in to see your Dr to find out what's going on.

I recently raised my armour dose and my eyes are itchy. I do not have allergies and have never had this problem before. Just wondering if its possibly related to thyroid. I hate to blame everything on thyroid, but just thought I'd ask.

Hey guys. My allergies get so bad. My eyes get so itchy, they ve stringy white things coming out of them, they get so red and swollen mess up my whole day, i need something that can control the itching.

With all of the recent post about eyes I thought I would post this one for opinions. Almost every day for the last couple of months my eyes will start to itch. Not the surrounding area, but the actual eye ball. I have had my eyes itch before but it was always the eye lids or the corner of the eye. and worst of all, since about last week, my eyes have become very red (bloodshot). And lately my eyes are becoming more and more itchy everyday. (+ alot more symptoms, ranging from rashes to nausea...). I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what it could be, and what I can take to relief the itching? Thank you in advance.

I have itchy swollen eyes quite often they swell up really sore and watery, I'm not sure what brings it on and it can happen any time of the year and they are really sensitive once I knock they or get anything inside one it flares up.

My son has had sore eyes for around 6 months now which were making him blink incessantly and he complained that they were itchy. You've had it for more than a year. You have antibodies which prevent you from spreading it to other areas of your body, including your hand and your eye. Did you ever get a test done? I was reading over your posts, and you had some symptoms, but I didn't find anything about actually get diagnosed. If you do have hsv1, you either have it orally or genitally. It doesn't appear on your hand, and it's never just a few small red dots.

Sorry to hear you guys are suffering from this too. My son's eyes become itchy, sore, and he constantly squints and blinks around the time it rains, it's terrible. We live near an aluminum smelter which increased it's So2 emissions in 2015 and he didn't have sore itchy eyes before then. I think the rain pushes down the chemicals when it rains... acid rain.

My eyes become itchy and watery. I have used patanol in the past but the eye Dr is now recommending patasol which is very expensive. I want to try Zyrtec d instead of Zyrtec which gives me some releif. Any other suggestions are appreciated.

Blue eyes are the dominate trait that can be passed on to babies. Brown is recessive so it's most likely they got the blue eyes from other generations in the family. My mom has brown eyes but mine are blue. My baby daddy and I are not mixed not really anyway I'm half Indian but I have blue eyes and brown hair that was blond when I was a baby. I was born very light skin i didnt turn brown until like 8 i was born with jet black curly hair and very chinky eyes but now im like a caramel brown with brownish hair my hair changed as i got older and my eyes r light brown. My sons dad is very light skinned i used to call him nightlight lol but he has brown curly hair and his eyes r extremely lighter than mine and he has chinky eyes too. Im just soooooo anxious to see my sons actual features outside of the womb.
