Common Questions and Answers about Itchy bumps on hands and fingers

itchy

Avatar n tn Tuesday I had one on my right wrist, wednesday the bump on my right middle finger turned into a cluster of tiny bumps, and on thursday I started getting itchy on my neck, stomach, waistline, there were a few more bumps on my right and left hands and then the right index finger started, I then popped the bumps on my forearm, right index and left middle and they oozed a clear liquid. Now friday I notice I have 4 on my right ring finger. They kind of itch, but nothing severe. Any ideas?
Avatar n tn Instead, a huge amount of bubbles of clear liquid appear underneath the skin of fingers, palms of the hand, and soles of feet. They are sometimes itchy and painful. The liquid eventually drains from the blisters back into the body, and the skin flakes off leaving a tender area of clear skin painful to touch. The cause of dishydrosis is hard to pinpoint. Other not so common causes are chickenpox, herpes simplex or impetigo. It could be due to allergy. So you could take an anti-histamine for it.
Avatar f tn The first stage is acute and presents as itchy blisters on the hands, fingers and toes. Then the chronic stage shows more peeling, cracking, or crusting. Then the skin heals up, or the blistering may start again. The exact cause is not known and excessive sweating can be one of the reasons. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar m tn ) and ended up with these horrible itchy bumps on the palms of my hands, fingers and feet. I tried all sorts, antihistamines, hydrocortisone, steroid cream from the doc etc etc Sudocream helps with itch, but what has actually started to clear it up within 48 hours I have to say is BioOil.
Avatar m tn I get these little red bumps on my hands and fingers every once in a while. They are never clustered, I may get one on and hand or finger and then next week get another one on the other hand or finger. They hurt when touched. They usually disappear after a week or so. What could this be? Thanks!
Avatar f tn The rash went away but not before severely exacerbating the bumps on my fingers. There were many more than usual and my hands felt like they were put in a fire ant bed. They were on fire for short periods. I take antihistamines and use calamine lotion which helps. They do not crust over, they just tend to go away with time. The bumps are not red like the allergic reaction that I had and my hands are not dry at all. The bumps just come and go and itch like mad sometimes.
Avatar f tn Now a week ago after being in a salt water pool for a few hours I started itching on my palms and soles of my feet. The next day the bumps started on my fingers and also on my palms but they itched severely. After two days I couldn't stand the itching so I bought over the counter anti itch hydrocortazone cream. At first it seemed to relieve it but hours later it burned. Each day the bumps spread and grow and are hard and tight. My knuckles are also tight.
Avatar n tn I have had these same bumps on only 3 fingers and 2 knuckles on my right hand that come and go and itch like crazy they also leave dry patches of skin that crack and hurt. I have had this for a year now. My dermatologist said atopic eczema. I know a lot of you are saying no sun however my Dr. said ubv photothreapy (chance of skin cancer) and it seems to work and I notice that when I go tanning (tanning bed...
Avatar f tn A few weeks ago, he started getting the SAME rash on his hands (water blisters on sides of fingers and in webbing of fingers). We both started working new jobs so at first I thought perhaps my boyfriend was experiencing contact dermatitis. He has been experiencing intense itching (I have also) it seems to be worse at night. I itch on my arms and hands, he itches in his genital region and stomach as well as hands.
Avatar n tn I have little bumps on my fingers that are very itchy. I think it's cause by water or something. Can someone help. This already start on one of my fingers and it looks like its spreading.
Avatar n tn A common type of hand eczema, called dyshidrotic eczema which occurs only on palms, soles, and sides of fingers and toes. Tiny opaque bumps called vesicles, thickening, and cracks are accompanied by itching. This itching gets worse at night and in warm weather. The pus filled lesions could be due to staphylococcus aureus, which is responsible for most skin infections. Eczema, basically, is a form of dermatitis, or inflammation of the upper layers of the skin.
Avatar m tn The bumps cover my entire palm and are on both hands, I actually think they may be on my fingers too, but if so, they are very small. The bumps vary in size. The bumps stay on my palms and slowly fade away as my hands dry out (This takes about 20 minutes at the most). The bumbs are hard, almost callous like, slightly itchy, and mildly painful, especially in the creases of my hands when I try to bend my hands.

Avatar f tn Itchy, red bumps on the fingers may develop after contact with any allergen. Scabies can cause itchy red bumps on the hands and finger webs. Fungal infection will cause bumps, scaling and itching. If there are blisters it is possible that it is due to dyshidrotic eczema. A correct diagnosis will help in deciding the exact treatment for your condition. Consult a dermatologist. Do keep me posted. Take care and regards!
Avatar f tn Wary like bumps/pimples on hands and fingers, somewhat itchy, do not hurt, white in color, hard to the touch,
Avatar m tn Pompholyx primarily involves the hands and fingers and then may involve the feet. The first stage is acute and presents as itchy blisters on the hands, fingers and toes. Then the chronic stage shows more peeling, cracking, or crusting. Then the skin heals up, or the blistering may start again. The exact cause is not known and excessive sweating can be one of the reasons. I suggest you to get it examined from a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis.
Avatar n tn jpg this is what the itchy bumps on my hands look like. these bumps are mainly on my right hand but now are moving to my left hand. I have them on my feet near my toes also. Background: My ex started to get itchy bumps on the lower half of her body around the beginning of december. she itched them and they spread to her back, arms, etc... i would rub anti itch on places she couldnt reach. we still had sex this whole time also.
1077961 tn?1279581749 I posted a few days ago with a picture and have gotten no response. The bumps started as a few on my hands and have exploded all over both ands, my elbows, knees, and are starting to show up on my feet. I've had them for a little over a week now. I tried soaking my hands and elbows in hot water and Epson salt and that seemed to help the itching for awhile at least. I'm not sure why, but it seems like the pros on this site pick and choose who they want to answer.
Avatar n tn i get these bumps but not only on my hands, i get them on my arms, neck and knees. new to me this year i have them on my upper back. and mine arent itchy or red, but clear and mainly an annoyance...lol, anyhow. i have been reading up tonight and i found most people who have on their hands are talking about pompholyx. hope this helps.
Avatar n tn In the past few days, it seems like I wake up with a few more bumps on my hand than I did the day before. The bumps are localized to my hands and fingers. I attached a picture that I found on-line that somewhat resembles the bumps. However, the picture I found was scabies....and I definitely do not have any itching and the bumps are not located anywhere else but my hands/fingers.
Avatar n tn I have a rash, it consists of 3 or 4 red bumps on the middle joint of my middle finger and now I also have two bumps on my index fingers on both hands and some bumps on my elbow. They are a little itchy and kind of painful, and look sort of like blisters. Does this sound like what you've experienced? I'm hoping you can help shed some light on my situation. I appreciate your help!

145992 tn?1341345074 I thought I got a splinter or something because when I touched them they were sore. Eventually they went away but I keep having little red bumps appear on my other fingers and palms of my hands. I have no idea what they are. Does anyone have any experience with this or know what they could be? Thanks.
Avatar n tn I am wondering if this is Syphilis or Herpes. I know 1 of my former girlfriends was diagnosed with herpes when we were dating. I have not had any issues with my genitals but have blister patches on my palms and fingers sometimes. They don't have white pus. They don't start as red bumps. They are just multiple itchy blisters that go away on their own after awhile. If I scratch them they seem to raise up. Also I have for years had some strange blister like things on the bottom of my feet.
Avatar f tn In particular, perniosis could be the cause and it can be due to poor circulation and an allergic response to the cold. They are often painful and extremely itchy and may appear on your toes and fingers or your palms. It is usually aggravated by little personal physical exercise, lack of adequate sleep , imbalanced diet, or exposure to sudden cold. If this is not the case, and the corticosteroid cream does not help, it would be best to see your doctor for further evaluation and management.
Avatar m tn Just yesterday I woke up with sores on my hands and fingers. The same sores are on my feet, elbows, ankles, and knees. They are small and red and focus mostly on the joints. These sores are very painful and feel like blisters. What are they and what can I do about them. I can't go to a doctor, because I have no insurance.
Avatar f tn I noticed these red dots on my hands this morning. There are several of them on both hands. They are all pretty much perfect circles, solid red throughout with no pus or apparent "bite" marks, and they're all the same size (a little smaller than a pencil eraser). They are not raised, painful, or itchy. They're just red dots (I wouldn't even call them "bumps") on the top and sides of my hands and fingers - none on my palms or feet. Any idea what they might be?
