Avatar m tn 3) Can i use X5 hair laser and Isotretinoin in the same period ??? Cause I read that isotretinoin produces photosensitivity and I would not suffer irritation or problems to the scalp. Thank you for the attention . I'm sorry for my bad english . I hope that you have understand my problems !!!
Avatar f tn I was also on acne treatment when I was younger. Roaccutane which contains Isotretinoin she is also on Isotretinoin, now here is a possible connection. Isotretinoin is also used to treat some cancers. There was a male on this forum who said he developed sticky skin after cancer treatment. Isotretinoin is a retinoid, related to Vitamin A. Overdose of vit A has its own side effects. I am still in extensive research mode, so maybe investigate all this and see if you can relate to anything.
Avatar m tn Again I consult with second, he prescribed me mentioned above, But I read from Internet that Isotretinoin has many side effects including hair fall, so I neglect that dosage of Isotretinoin by afraid , only azithromycin took for 6 days. Pimples are reduced to some extent but they are leaving scars on face. Is HH fudic cream will work for both pimples and scars ? Dosage of Minoz 50 (minocycline) will work for me if I takes this 20 days, is it good for health to take it in 6 months for 20 days ?
Avatar f tn I'm almost 9wks and I was just wondering if anyone has experienced thinning hair. Mine seems to be a little thinner right in the front. And I'm not sure if this is normal or if it's caused by another reason.
Avatar n tn All my life I've been told that I have thick hair. I'm 21, Asian, male; for the past few years I've been noticing that I have thinner hair on the right side of my scalp. When I run my hand gently through my hair I notice that hair falls out WAY easier than the left side of my head. I'm not shedding clumps of hair, it's just my right side of the scalp sheds more in comparison to the left. Is this something normal? I've been stressing about this a lot!
Avatar m tn Well, yes, it would be some time before you actually notice that your hair is thinning. The low iron could be due to chronic blood loss due to piles. Post surgery, may be this was not corrected. Also, additional low vitamin D could be contributing to hair fall—and this may be a recent development or may be persisting. To improve the quality of hair, you’ll need to take iron and vitamin D supplements and improve your diet to include healthy meals. Take care!
Avatar f tn Are you on meds for PCOS? As I understand it, being on meds and losing weight, help to control all the symptoms of PCOS, including thinning hair. I myself haven't tried any products, but I wish you good luck with that, honey!
1300834 tn?1273123354 My hair has been thinning for about 4 years now. I honestly can't tell if its halted. I think it has at least slowed cause over the past year I haven't noticed in increase in the view of myscalp. I can't get any confirmation from my hairdresser or my doctors because my job had me moving around a lot and I've never had a consistent hair dresser or doctor for more than a few years.
Avatar n tn My hair has been thinning for the last five years I am 59 years ,through menopause ....whats up ? Maybe iron or iodine defecency?
Avatar m tn After around 6 months i could see my scalp.Taking a closer look it appeared red and the hair was thinning especially in the mid scalp region.I could also scratch some white crust with my nail.I had moderate itching. After some months i had extreme itching and a burning sensation like ants crawling and i could sense warmth. The scalp was really red so i went to dermatologist.I think he said i had pytiriasis.I was given ketekonazole and nizoral and after 1 month of treatment the symptoms were gone.
Avatar n tn Ive heard its common to lose hair AFTER pregnancy but has anyone had or is having hair loss while expecting??
Avatar m tn Thyroid hair loss would be all over - as in thinning throughout the hair for general thinning, while pattern baldness would be thinning in certain spots. At least, that is what happened to me.
Avatar n tn Alopecia areata is a genetic condition which causes sudden round patches on the scalp along with inflammation of the roots of the hair follicles. However, the hair follicles are not destroyed and hair growth continues after inflammation subsides. Folliculitis may cause hair loss and is caused by a virus, fungus, or yeast. You should consult a dermatologist for a complete evaluation and proper diagnosis. Sometimes a skin biopsy is conducted to confirm the diagnosis.
Avatar m tn I asked my dermatologist and she told me that the stickiness will go away on 2 or 3 days after i am done taking isotretinoin. Has anyone else experience this? Did it go away? Can someone please help!
Avatar m tn She squeezed it and extracted it like a blackhead. Now he has a patch of thinning hair around the same area where he had the ingrown hair. His pediatrician told us she wasn't sure what it was but it might be a reaction to the ingrown hair (which might have been an infection) or alopecia areata and to wait a few months to see what happens.
Avatar f tn As Dr. O says, do have yourself checked out by an opthalmologist. If he does not find blepharitis, there are other factors to consider. Since you have always had plenty of eyelashes, you might not be aware of any asymmetry in that department, but I'm very fair, with fine, light hair and I have noticed with the passage of time that one side of my head has slightly more hair than the other (weird, huh?), and interestingly the side with more hair has thicker eyelashes.
Avatar m tn Iron supplements can restore iron levels to normal and may help your hair to recover its previous thickness. Other causes for hair thinning are health, anaemia, or a thyroid problem. Consult a hematologist for appropriate guidance. Take care.
Avatar f tn Some people experience thinning of their hair during treatment but it doesn't usually fall out in the same way a cancer patients hair does (ie alopecia). You may find with a little extra care and attention, and not too many chemical processes the thinning may not be noticeable to anyone except yourself. I would be more inclined to wait and see what happened before buying a wig - you can wear scarves and hats to tide you over if it becomes necessary.
Avatar m tn I'm an 18 year old female and recently, I've noticed my hair falling out. Thinning, really, but it's alarming and I can feel a really significant volume difference. I went to a doctor who did some blood tests for thyroid, iron deficiency, and iron binding. It came back that I'm Iron Deficient Anemic. I started take 90mg of Elemental Iron daily. The texture of my hair is totally different but the thinning hasn't gotten any better at all!! Help! I don't want to go bald!
Avatar f tn I am on week 21 of treatment. I started treatment with thick, thick dark hair medium length hair. I would" shed" like most people do. NOW I can't even run may fingers through my hair without having a bunch of hair in my hands. Forget brushing it, I can make a doll with all the hair. My hair is so thin. Anyone else having this problem?
