I was also on acne treatment when I was younger. Roaccutane which contains Isotretinoin she is also on Isotretinoin, now here is a possible connection. Isotretinoin is also used to treat some cancers. There was a male on this forum who said he developed sticky skin after cancer treatment. Isotretinoin is a retinoid, related to Vitamin A. Overdose of vit A has its own side effects. I am still in extensive research mode, so maybe investigate all this and see if you can relate to anything.

I'm almost 9wks and I was just wondering if anyone has experienced thinning hair. Mine seems to be a little thinner right in the front. And I'm not sure if this is normal or if it's caused by another reason.
All my life I've been told that I have thick hair. I'm 21, Asian, male; for the past few years I've been noticing that I have thinner hair on the right side of my scalp. When I run my hand gently through my hair I notice that hair falls out WAY easier than the left side of my head. I'm not shedding clumps of hair, it's just my right side of the scalp sheds more in comparison to the left. Is this something normal?

After around 6 months i could see my scalp.Taking a closer look it appeared red and the hair was thinning especially in the mid scalp region.I could also scratch some white crust with my nail.I had moderate itching.After some months i had extreme itching and a burning sensation like ants crawling and i could sense warmth.The scalp was really red so i went to dermatologist.I think he said i had pytiriasis.I was given ketekonazole and nizoral and after 1 month of treatment the symptoms were gone.

His pediatrician told us she wasn't sure what it was but it might be a reaction to the ingrown hair (which might have been an infection) or alopecia areata and to wait a few months to see what happens.

Since you have always had plenty of eyelashes, you might not be aware of any asymmetry in that department, but I'm very fair, with fine, light hair and I have noticed with the passage of time that one side of my head has slightly more hair than the other (weird, huh?), and interestingly the side with more hair has thicker eyelashes.

I'm an 18 year old female and recently, I've noticed my hair falling out. Thinning, really, but it's alarming and I can feel a really significant volume difference. I went to a doctor who did some blood tests for thyroid, iron deficiency, and iron binding. It came back that I'm Iron Deficient Anemic. I started take 90mg of Elemental Iron daily. The texture of my hair is totally different but the thinning hasn't gotten any better at all!!

I am on week 21 of treatment. I started treatment with thick,thick dark hair medium length hair. I would" shed" like most people do. NOW I can't even run may fingers through my hair without having a bunch of hair in my hands. Forget brushing it, I can make a doll with all the hair. My hair is so thin. Anyone else having this problem?
