Is ultracet good

Common Questions and Answers about Is ultracet good

ultracet

Avatar n tn habit forming and not super powerful in the pain relief arena but very addictive for many people..there is no tylenol in ultram or tramadol/but ultracet has tylenol in it so liver problems if taking alot of them can be a concern....like cathy said..why do u ask?
Avatar m tn Still some pain so am taking 3 Ultracet tabs per 24 hours with pretty good pain relief except following 30 minutes on the treadmill and various muscle building exercises and stretches. To calm down those muscles following exercises and stretches I would like to take one 200mg Celebrex daily but one drug interaction cite suggests "Moderate" drug-drug issue involving CYP450 2D6, which means nothing to me.
Avatar f tn Ultracet is a straight up 37.5 tramadol and 325 acitomitophene(sp?
Avatar m tn Hey Aaron... Ultracet is addictive. Many people have gotten hooked on it. Its Ultram/Ultracet/Tramadol I believe they are all related and whehter doctors say so or not, they are addictive and can be dangerous. :( sorry for the bad news. They are also derived from the opiate family. Be careful with them. Ive used them during in between times when I was using -- just to hold w/drawal at bay -- so that should tell you something right there..
Avatar m tn If you are achy take a warm bath or shower. Immodium is good if you have the runs. I know this is hard but you can get thru it.
Avatar f tn Ultracet is Tramadol and acetaminophen. Tramadol is highly addictive and a bear to quit. Those on Tramadol should taper off of it. It is a synthetic opiate. Most here would not recommend it for w/d.
Avatar n tn I am doing the w/d off Ultracet. My advice is DO NOT TAKE IT. Especially if you have a history of addiction. The problem with it is after taking heavier medication you need more of the Ultracet to get relief but at the amount it takes to feel better, you are risking a siezure. Get off everything all together, it will be worth it. That is what I have to keep telling myself.....
Avatar f tn is ultracet a combo of ultram and loracet?....some peopl r different i guess....like i could take my percosets as prescribed but oxycontin i couldnt......and it takes time to get addicted......as u know since u have been addicted to vicodin......beware....
Avatar m tn I believe Ultram and Ultracet are the same. It is 37.5 tramadol and whatever of acetaminophen. I had the generic of Ultracet (have the bottle right in front of me) it is broke down as aceetaminophen and 37.5 tramadol. It is entitled tramadol (generic for Ultracet) but it has the acet/tramadol combination. I was then prescribed straight tramadol which is 50mg tramadol with nothing else added. period. If ultram is different than that is news to me.
Avatar n tn scary.....is he in any type of aftercare? looks like he is definitely trying to chase a high...lock em up or keep them somewhere else....hard to do but geez....u could put a snapping turtle in the box and see what happens next time!
Avatar f tn I have take Hydrocodone since April of last year, 1 or 2 5/500 a day on average and rarely 3 or 4. There are some days that I have not needed it but most days I do. Is Ultracet a lot different as far as pain relief? Does it take the pain away like the Lortab does? Any comments or help you can give would really be appreciated. Thanks a million!! By the way, my blood pressure has always been 110 or 120 over 60 or 70 and today it was way up for me, 150 over 91.
446097 tn?1223694666 This is going to suck. No two ways about it. Hey, the good news is that I am clean, with NO SCRIPTS to fill which means no temptation!!!
Avatar f tn was your tramadol presription for ULTRAM or ULTRACET? If it is/was UltraCET, that contains acetaminophen (tylenol) as well as the tramadol, so therefore, if you took additional tylenol with it, you could have gotten too much of the tylenol ingredient, which could make you sick (and cause liver damage if continued).
Avatar f tn s amazing to me that there are still doctors out there telling people that Tramadol is not addictive. Ultracet is Tramadol and Acetaminophen. Your husband is a WISE man to question this before he takes it! Congrats to him on 7 yrs Clean!!! If he is able to tolerate NSAIDS, he could take those or just acetaminophen (w/o the synthetic opioid, i.e. tramadol). I find that Advil Liqui-Gel Capsules work the best for me and there are generic versions of this too at Walmart or Walgreens.
Avatar n tn I am a music minister in an Evangelical Bible Church and have just had my second back surgery. My back feels great! I had unbearable pain for only a year (not much compared to some of the posters on here (7+ years of back pain, how do you do it?)). Throughout my year of pain, my doctor prescribed me hydrocodone (from 5's to eventually 10's) and tramadol 50mg (which I took with tylenol 50/500 - making it basically generic ultracet).
1071153 tn?1255369215 There is also a lot of info on Suboxone there. This takes time and is hard but it can be done and is so worth it. Good luck in your journey. Posting here is also a great support system.
Avatar f tn My friend and I were talking the other day and she said, "Oh, my mom said a lady at her prayer group said that there was "a new darvocet out on the market now." Of course I am more than curious since my mom just had to stop darvocet herself. My friend then tells me this "new darvocet" is called Ultracet! Can you believe this? I knew this was coming since darvocet was pulled by the FDA, now the drs. are going to start prescribing ultracet/ultram/tramadol alot more.
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm sorry I don't have a solution as I am seaking help myself. All I can say is that nothing is hopeless and there is a way. I'm determined to taper down from 8 pills a day to 0. In 10 days Im down to 3.5. Any number can be taperd down ANY! If you need to, make your family understand. Have someone help you. If you need professional help, get it. Set a goal, and make a plan to get there. keep your chin up. Theres always a way.

Avatar n tn Do Cluster Headaches on the Right side of the head affect the left leg? Also I have read that laying down makes Cluster Headaches worse, Standing, Sitting, and Laying do not help at all. Actually walking is next to impossible for him when he is in severe headache mode because his left leg hurts, and becomes weak. He describes the pain in his head as sharp and pulsating. Please let me know if these are all symptoms of a cluster headache.
901372 tn?1242309047 Tramadol is no good!!!! It does a good job with constipation/stomach problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar n tn Is there a formula for weaning yourself off ultracet? Am taking 5-6 a day for 3 years. What can I expect?
Avatar f tn not exactly..oxy in theory is a bit stronger than hydro..and sub is a different type of narcotic than the other 2..but conversoin charts do compare the strength of sub to other narcotics..but it is not really the effect they r comparing//but the strength...i do believe there is a conversion chart in avisg's journal...
Avatar f tn Hi Mom, I was addicted to Tramadol for 18 months, with 9+ months of daily abuse. I am still learning about it and am a Vet, having Rx'd it for my own patients. The short of it is, it IS addictive and do NOT believe ANYone telling you it is not. I believe that you have an addiction if you revolve your days and thoughts about when your next dose is, if you get excited to take it, if you seek it out and start doing things you normally would not to get it, things like that.
398893 tn?1201315707 t notice when i stopped taking it, but I have noticed the dissappearance of the hydro and the ultracet *even though i hate ultracet, I became dependent on it before i knew what was going on*my body did** OK my question is this, What is a good continual release medication to use for Constant pain.....I only know about the medications I have used and not much else, IF anyone has any advice for me PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE reply.
