Common Questions and Answers about Is it possible to sneeze with you eyes open

sneeze

Avatar f tn Just because you don' want to believe it, it very possibly could be a sleep disorder called narcolepsy! As far as your sinuses, you need to have a nasopharyngeal scope done to see if you have polyps blocking your airway passage in your nose. Typically a CT can miss many things (it missed my stroke, which was found on MRI), and being that polyps are small and your nasal passage swells from allergies, it may well help diagnose you! Good luck!
Avatar m tn Hi all, This will sound extremely bizarre, but I would be grateful if anyone is able to shed some light on this very annoying thing that I am experiencing. It all started when I rubbed my eyes in my mirror 2 years ago, and then my eyes started stinging really badly, and I found I couldn't sneeze for about 2 weeks. For about 2 years now, I have been experiencing an inability to sneeze naturally. The sneeze builds up, but it never completes.
Avatar m tn HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions, therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.
Avatar m tn And they were very clear that you had to be careful to make sure it was processed properly so it would not be contaminated--sound familiar?? Virgin Coconut Oil.....not just for people anymore!! Who knew??? LOL!!

Avatar m tn I have tried snorting pepper, snuff etc and looking at bright light - no Sneeze, not even a desire to sneeze. I have a number of neuro symptoms, no gag reflex, partial paralysis of throat, difficulty swallowing, Exotropia (eyes constantly tend to cross) along with muscle cramps, pain, weakness and fatigue - all progressive. Neuro says MS but never had a positive MRI. My question: Is anyone aware of a neuro/muscular disease with one of the signs being the loss/lack of the sneeze reflex?
Avatar f tn Is that also safe ? I have read that sneezing is bad for retina. But it is very difficult to control when it comes.
Avatar f tn I'm sure its fine. It could possibly just be a round ligament pulling. It can happen when you sneeze, cough or even get up from a sitting or sleeping position too fast. If it hurts for a very long time after it happens and it worries you then call your Dr just to be safe.
Avatar f tn Was your MRI for the brain and spine? I think after a confirmed case of ON I would insist on seeing a neurologist.... I'm not saying you have MS but you definetely have something that your primary doctor isn't picking up... You need another set of eyes to look at your MRI's and to possibly run some more test on you... This is my opinion but I would feel strong about it...

Avatar f tn You're a doctor & you don't know that you never had a risk?HIV is not transmitted via sneezing & you definately don't require nPEP.No risk.
Avatar f tn s difficult, but it all depends on you, if you get upset about people sneezing and coughing the PATM will be worse, you just have to accept the condition and every time they sneeze they cough up a little towards them, if someone talks to you and then he looks at you with an angry face, you, you just have to be relaxed and confident with a smile on your face, you have to face it, it's the only way to diminish the PATM effect.
Avatar n tn This happens At any time any ware i don't Have allergys that I know of and I am not sick with a cold.this started a couple years ago one minute I am fine then this starts up again.
Avatar f tn Sleeping with eyes partially open isn't exactly rare. Sometimes people are born with the tendency, sometimes it's the result of some kind of injury or disease, and most of the time, the cause really isn't known. In fact, people who do it usually don't even realize it (after all, you're asleep, right?) until either they see a photo of themselves or their bed partner tells them about it. I didn't know I slept with my eyes open until my husband told me.
Avatar f tn Does it hurt anyone else when they sneeze I'm 34 weeks and every time I sneeze I have to take a minute cause my sides hurt

Avatar f tn Everytime I sneeze blood comes out is that normal? I keep forgetting to ask my doctor but ever since I got pregnant and every time I sneeze there is blood.
Avatar f tn When I cough sneeze or stand up to long it feels like my skin in ripping open. I spoke to my doctor about it and he said it was normal. Does any one else have or had this problem? If so my real question is what can I do too make it feel better?
Avatar f tn Ok so about a monto ago I had an outbreak of herpes but didn't know and went to the hospital and found out. Now everyone looks at me weird when I say I don't know what type because he didn't take a blood test or a swab, he just looked at my vagina with his eyes and said I have herpes and my gyno would take blood and tell me what type. I haven't had the test yet because she wanted to wait till my yearly in a few weeks.
Avatar m tn is it a side-effect of alergies? can allergies either make it wide open, or closed? or is it wide open due to some kind of allerges.. and my eye itches (left) i do plan on seeing an alergy specialist to figure out what exactly i am alergic to. thank you This discussion is related to Tear duct sprays water into my eye, when I blow my nose.

Just last week I was wearing the black yoga pants and sneezed and had to run to my room because I accidentally peed. Tonight I wore them again and sure enough I'm mid talking to my 8 yr old daughter and sneezed. I peed so much I had to scrub the spot on the couch where I was sitting. To make matters worse my children starting laughing hysterically and announced it to my husband lol!!!!
