Avatar m tn Have just been diagnosed with stage 2 breast .ca . Am having ct and bone scan for staging and will discuss surgery. My partner has had recent urgent cardiac surgery in the last 3 weeks, and I am her career .she obviously can't drive Or lift above 2 kg. Avatar m tn m 40, childless (which means ptosis was not due to breast feeding) and had a breast lift 4 weeks ago. Implants were out of the question for me. If you want perkiness a lift, whether the incisions will be concentric, lollipop or inverted T is for you to discuss AT LENGTH with a plastic surgeon. I received an inverted T, which I am not at all happy with because the P.S. that did my breasts did not specify that during my consultation.
Avatar n tn I had a breast lift w/ lipo 20 months ago- my left breast has been feeling like something is tearing inside and I have a strange, almost achey feeling in the breast and towards my armpit. This breast is larger than the right, but always has been. I also gained apprx 15 lbs since then and am not sure if this has caused these feeling. I am at a point where I don't know if I should be concerned and go back and see the cosmetic surgeon or should I see my family doctor.
Avatar f tn I had my baby boy 5 days ago n i made the decision to bottle feed but my breast came in yesterday and my breasts really hurt. Is there anything i can do to dry up my breast milk? Ive tried cabbage leaves, ice packs n tylenol to relieve pain n swelling. Any other ideas?
1551655 tn?1294260921 All my exercise is basically for free - I take stairs, go on walks, run a few times a week, and lift light weights. No gym membership and no classes. For some people a treadmill can actually be a very good investment in the longer term - that is, if you use it!
Avatar n tn My health insurance ghi does not cover breast lift or reduction. I am currently a size 42dd and my breast are sagging. I cannot afford the procedure or do not know exactly what I need if its a breast lift or reduction. I suffer from shoulder pains almost everyday am my doctor only prescribe me motrin for the pain. I really need help and cannot afford it. Is there a list or some doctors that can help me for free in nyc?
Avatar f tn Breast lifts are uniformly performed with breast reductions. With a lift as the sole procedure, often just excess skin is removed without significant reduction of breast volume. With a reduction, both breast tissue and fat is removed along reshaping the breasts and elevation of nipple position. The decision as to which procedure to select depends on whether there is a need for volume reduction.
Avatar m tn Both breast reduction and Breast lift are about re-positioning the nipple areolar complex to a more appropriate level (above the Inframammary fold), tightening the breast tissue and removal of excess skin. In breast lift, only a small amount of tissue is removed for shaping purpose but in breast reduction, a more significant volume is removed to actually changed the cup size of the breast.
4243956 tn?1351611640 My surgery is scheduled for November 26. I am trying to prepare now. Line up help, purchase items to help me through the recovery process, etc. Any suggestions on surviving the first few weeks post surgery?
Avatar n tn Unfortunately some of us are even allergic to "hypoallergenic" tapes. I am allergic to the adhesives in tapes...and every time I tell them that in the ER they say, "Even paper tape?" Yuuuuuup! Even paper tape. Every time I go to the hospital I get IV Benedryl. Careful, it packs a kick!! It will make you feel like you got a shot of morphine almost!
Avatar f tn breast lift, breast reduction, and breast enlargement (augmentation). Depending on your specific case, one or more of these techniques would be helpful to restore a youthful look to your bosom. Breasts are not stagnant organs, they are always changing throughout life. In a young women they grow and develop. They change each month with the menstrual cycle. Pregnancy affects the breasts as does nursing.
Avatar f tn I had an accident at work beginning of Dec. Huge twist of my right knee/leg and I hit the deck. Instant horrific pain and vast swelling. X-ray shows no fracture. I've been on crutches 36 days, unable to weight bare, swelling reduced from injury but got dvt behind the knee causing vast swelling of calf and foot (still) pain from dvt subsiding now but knee pain more prominent. Can't straighten my leg either. Utterly fed up, confused and frustrated. Another 3 weeks until MRI.
Avatar m tn I get a really instant, painful headache attack when im doing push-ups. Im to scared to do more or lift any weights because of this. Is this common? It happens when i excert the most energy in my push-ups.
Avatar n tn Not sure what's causing it, but there is no relationship of erect nipples to breast cancer. If it's both at the same time it would suggest some sort of central nerve stimulation (brain?), if it's only one it would suggest stimulation of the nerves near that nipple. If it's both at the same time, I would ignore it. If it's only one, I guess it may be worth figuring out what's responsible for it, but in either case I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
7470604 tn?1396498950 Oatmeal (not instant) is a great way to boost milk supply! Wal-Mart also sells a tea callef mothers milk tea, I hear it helps a lot as well... I took fenugreek and blessed thistle supplements and it helped my milk as well but the oatmeal had the biggest impact.
Avatar f tn t worry about having no symptoms u r just as lucky as I am all I had was breast tenderness while others r unlucky and end up with vomiting all the time
2161407 tn?1337538702 I can relate to the lack of sleep. It will come. Just hang in there and no matter what don't use. Your body and mind will get back to a place where you won't need to "take" anything to function, sleep, breathe, etc. It's not an overnight process. Our brains have been re-wired by the opiates. It takes time to heal. Aminos help, Protein, vitamins, and lots of water. At 4 months clean from a 60-80 mgs per day hydro habit, I can say that my sleep is just about back to normal.
Avatar n tn I will be done with the tissues expander in couple of weeks. The size looks acceptable, except two breats are mile apart. I look ok with a bra and some creative inserts to lift the sagging breast.. My PS almost always does a small implant to accomplish symetry. My obgyn says it will interfere with the screening. There is also an option of breast lift. I 'd like to hear from those who have gone through this. Thanks This discussion is related to <a href='http://www.medhelp.
Avatar n tn I have found a tender, painful-when-pressed area, on the lower leftside/outside of my left breast. Each time I press this small area it is instant sharp pain. Can anyone give me insight as to what kind of physician or who I should see about taking care of this?
Avatar f tn One night I had sharp pain that hurt very badly when I breathed (causing shortness of breath) in the left breast area that kept me up for about 20 minutes. I went to the doctor a few days later and she performed an EKG, D-Dimer, and cholesterol check with lipids. I told her I'd been sick a few weeks before with a lot of congestion, mostly in the throat that caused thick mucus when I coughed.
Avatar f tn Hi! I had a breast lift done about 8 years ago and i'm currently 22 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child. I know a lift and reduction are different but I did ask my OBGYN and was told being able to breast feed would depend on if the doctor severed or removed any ducts. You'll find out when the time comes so don't waste your emotions worrying about it right now. Plan to breast feed if that's what you want and just be emotionally prepared for the alternative.
Avatar f tn Recently my leg has been acting up and idk what is causing it. I'll be walking along just fine and dandy when my inner upper though of my right leg just gets a super sharp pain in it. It hurts soo bad, to the point where i can't even lift it to move my leg at all. It's like my leg seriously just gets paralyzed with a shooting pain in my thigh. It just started this past week, I'm 38 weeks exactly today. Any advice? Or anyone know what the heck this could possibly be?
9109315 tn?1408617920 I should buy stock in tums! Only at night do I get super thirsty. It wakes me up. I take a tiny sip of water then BAM instant heartburn. I'm normally to tired to get up to grab some coconut water so I'm not up half the night fighting the heartburn and trying to go back to sleep, but I tried it tonight. Man is that stuff ever nasty! How do people drink it!? I grabbed more tums. Waiting for them to kick in. Baby decided it was time to wake up and start doing some martial art moves.
Avatar f tn try getting a breast lift and then they put a little implant in as well. especially if you've had kids the lift would enhance alot.
Avatar f tn I had a breast lift with silicone implants and a mini tummy tuck 5 weeks ago. Approximately 2 weeks after surgery the incision area under both breasts opened quite quickly. Within a couple of days the wounds were significantly large and weeping. For the last 3 weeks I have been on oral antibiotics and treating the wounds twice a day with silver sulfadiazine. I don't see any sign of healing and my PS will determine today if I need to be seen by a specialist.
