1095404 tn?1333992839 You can also give him infant Tylenol. It's Tylenol only until they are 6 months but at 6 months, you can start giving him Infant Motrin. There's also some Homopathic Teething Tablets that literally dissolve in their mouths in seconds. You should be able to find those anywhere but they will probably be in the baby section of whatever store you go into. Good luck!
Avatar f tn I hate seeing my baby like this especially knowing that my mom had to take me to the hospital because of server fever when I was teething, makes me feel helpless :( Thanks I'm advanced
689528 tn?1364135841 And yes, the teething could be the culprit as well. Infant tyelenol as Diva suggested combined with cold things to naw on worked well for us. Good luck, it's not fun when they are super cranky.
Avatar f tn bum cream.. when he was older and was teething I packed the infant Tylenol. Could not leave without it.. generally if you pack something you will not need it. So I've noticed.. now he's potty training and we're back to bringing a few changes of clothes and pull ups.. snacks etc..
Avatar n tn I know most people think of teething in an infant, but thats exactly what happens at 6, 12, and 18-25 (wisdom teeth) because its a tooth having to push its way through intact bone and gum tissue. When the other permanent teeth come it, there is not nearly as many symptoms because the primary tooth has provided the permanent tooth with a path.
Avatar n tn Have been giving my 15 month Ibuprofen for teething pain-are there side effects for giving too much? she has been screaming off and on for awhile. Can she be hulicinating?

Avatar f tn My son has acid reflux as well so I understand what you are going through with that. Max is just about 6 months old now and let me tell you, he started teething at 2 1/2 months old. All the syptoms you just described, I didn't think it was teething at all because he was so young but at 3 months old his first tooth cut through and a week later his second one cut through. I was so shocked because it was so early. As I said he is almost 6 months old now and just cut his 3rd tooh this past week.
304970 tn?1331425994 i couldn't really answer, because she started showing signs of teething at 5 months, but didn't cut her first tooth until 9 1/2 months. The second took another month, and she didn't get the next 2 until 2 months after that. I think her teeth just take a really long time. She's been "teething" again- her 2 year molars, for months now, and they aren't cut through yet.
492921 tn?1321289896 Babies can have fluid build up that bothers them as well and that will come and go and get worse with weather change and teething. The ustation (sp) tube goes horizontal instead if vertical until they are bigger, older children, so the fluid sits there but it is nothing to worry about. tugging at the ear, crying when sucking or smaking the ears can be signs of infection but not unless there is a fever and waking up at night. Ear infections hurt and she will be crying loud!
400358 tn?1320234443 Any suggestions for a teething baby who is up at night? We tried tylenol, cold teether, rubbing belly, and then just giving him a bottle. Any other suggestions that have worked for you guys?
Avatar f tn So my some will be 6 months this month and he's teething. A little white speck is starting to come out. Well this morning when I woke up I felt him a little warm and indeed he did have a fever. It's been on and off for the day but parents think it might be due to the teething. He's not constipated or has a rash. Right now he's asleep n I just have him in a diaper. His fever went done and he's fine at the moment. Is there anything else I can do for my little man.

284738 tn?1283106819 my mom said it could be from her teething but shes only 3 months old... she does have baby eczema but her cheeks look different from the other parts where she has eczema.. do you think I should be concerned?
Avatar f tn If he is teething try a cold wash cloth. Dip a wash cloth in cold water and rub it on his gums. What I did with my daughter was stick her pacifier in the freezer and let it get cold enough to be cold for a while in her mouth.
4545793 tn?1394592544 My son was a little older when teething started. 5-6 months. Cold carrots were such a blessing. Lol my grandmother and her stories are so cute but would never do it. She said she use to rub whiskey on my dads gums. Crazy how times have changed. My son would sit there and s uck on the carrot for hours! And taln about baby slobbers!
Avatar f tn m really tired ( but my 8 month old son currently is recovering from pink eye and has just started teething a few days ago) I took my temperature and it's 100.

She doesnt want to chew on things b/c she doesnt realize it will help b/c she is only 14 weeks. Idk what to do with her. I need a brake from the fussiness. Someone please give me some advice!
1464608 tn?1286166252 They said it was gas and show us stomach exercises to do with her to relieve the pain. We have tried the infant gas drops. She just fusses constantly. Nothing pleases her. These are supposed to be real enjoyable monthes for new parents, and my son is beside himself. Please give us any other advise that you may have. She does have some moment lately when she is actually smiling.
363110 tn?1340920419 My granddaughter didn't get her first tooth until she was a year old. I thought they would NEVER come in. Now she has 11, although four of them are only halfway through. I have noticed that she likes to chew on things that are rubber, such as a bottle nipple or maybe the liner that goes into a storage lid (some of them have those rubber circles that go inside the lid). She doesn't like the teething rings or anything cold either.
Avatar m tn I was wondering if it is HFMD as he does have cold like symptoms, which I thought were due to teething. I am also wondering if maybe they happened from crawling, because he seems to "slam" his hands down with each crawling motion. Any ideas? If they're only on his hands and not in his mouth or anywhere else could it be HFMD?
1194973 tn?1385503904 Its possible, Cole started teething at like 2 months old. although they can start teething this early, it doesnt mean that they will break a tooth anytime soon. All you can do is get teethers for the freezer(cole loves them) some Tylenol sometimes not alot. and get the equate brand not the regular. and I also have teething tablets, you rub them on their gums, and they dissolve in an instant. good luck I know its very stressful.
964234 tn?1331949207 I'd say maybe teething BUT since you are leaving town better to see the dr now.
