The most pain arises deep in the wrist joint if I were to lean into my hand flat on the floor in the direction of my index finger knuckle while on my hands and knees, moderate pain arises over the scaphoid and in the insertion point of the tendon with extension of the hand while just standing up with no pressure of any sort, and mild pain over the lunate with flexion of the hand while standing up. This has been on going for many months and was not caused by any injury to the hand.
During my recovery, the pin from the fusion was rejected by my body and ended up in my trigger finger preventing extensor movement, and so I then had to have more surgery to move the pin back into a more secure position, and so far the pin has stayed secure.
I had the dressings removed a few days ago, and have found that I now have no extensor function in my little finger? they are now sending me for a ultrasound.
m a house painter and recently brought my hand down onto the sharp point of one of my painting tools. It cut into the side if my rt hand middle finger, middle joint (between the knuckle and the lower joint) It bled a bit and swelled up of course. That was over two weeks ago. I still have noticable swelling in that joint, especially on the rt side, and considerable pain. The rest of my hand hurts lately, probably from compensating for the lack of use of the middle finger. Any ideas?

I took a puck off of my right index finger and didn't really notice any immediate pain. Over the next couple days I noticed that I couldn't form a fist because my finger was very swollen and hurt to bend that far. Upon further observation I noticed that my first finger knuckle had become very wide, but the rest of my finger remained regular size. It is also very sensitive to touch.
hello,i had surgery on my right forearm 1 and a half month ago (cut radial nerve,extensor tendon and radial vein) 6 days ago i removed my cast,but 2 days ago i slipped and fell and felt great pain around my wrist which lasted for 1 hour and ok.. but today,when i touch or lean my forearm on something,i get al electrifying weakness pain which sprads through my whole arm (i feel it best a few mm left of my medial nerve). maybe its a ulnar nerve.my pinky and ring finger twitch a little randomly.

I have no idea what to do from here. I am in significant amounts of pain and my doctor just wants to keep giving me cortison injections.
Back in March I was holding a little girl that was standing on my lap and she lost her balance and squatted down. My hand was behind her knee and my right index finger popped and then hurt really bad for awhile. I assumed it would go away and it didn't. A few days later I went to urgent care. They took x-rays and saw nothing and told me to take ibuprofen and continue to use it like normal.
I am a 56 years old female and in relatively good health. I take one medication for hbp. Recently the middle joints of my little fingers are very tender, red and tend to be very itchy, if that makes any sense and I've also begun noticing some tiny red nodules at the first joint of my index fingers and little fingers. Some times the nodules are a little more pronouced than other times.
I had surgery the following day and had 2 pins inserted into my index finger. I had those pins in my index finger for 4 weeks (just had them removed on 1/10/11).
I haven't been able to move that index finger for 4 weeks since the pins were still in there, as any movement in that finger caused extreme pain...but now my index finger seems to be stuck in that same position (slightly curved, as if holding a cup).
My index finger has chronic pain when it is exposed to cold temps. or if my circulation is lessened in that arm. It's just that finger and only at the finger nail, cuticle area. The feeling is similar to getting it smashed into something. Also, when no pain is present, if I hit it ever so slightly on something, it might as well have been smashed in a door, the feeling would be the same!
It can cause weakness in the triceps and in the extensor muscles of the fingers. Numbness and tingling along with pain can radiate down the triceps and into the middle finger.
So,that's why.
During foreplay with my partner, I used my middle finger to stimulate my partner but am worried that with my index finger in close proximity to the vagina, a pregnancy is possible? If a finger that came into contact (actually touched vs grazed) with the wet spot on my jeans cause a pregnancy after stimulating my partner?
