Avatar m tn Hello, I've been having some erectile dysfunction problems and went to an endocrinologist. After an MRI and some blood tests I found I have low testosterone and may have a pituitary microadenoma (<5mm) so I have been taking Dostinex for the past 8 months. However my testosterone levels are barely increasing (to me, it seems actually randomly increasing/decreasing). If I wake up at night I find that sometimes I have erections but I don't know if every night.
Avatar n tn the range was 8-30 and my level was 13,i consulted a doctor he said your testosterone levels are ok,so what should i do now, increasing my testosterone would be of any benefit or it is just genetic?
Avatar m tn I knew it was low because of erectile dysfunction and at the same time frame i was in powerlifting and took high calorie meals prohormones. Prohormones lowered my testosterone levels and shoot my cholesterol level to 225. Erection quality has been poor. Since may of 2009 i never touched anything as far as prohormones (never do it again) Since then I've been taking a multivitamin/B complex/vitamin c and l arginine. Working out in gym 3 times a week with cardio on weekends.
Avatar m tn The doctor will run a simple blood test to check your testosterone and other hormone levels. This will quickly tell them (and you) if there is a treatable issue or not. Best of luck!
Avatar n tn I'm a 21yr old male with hypothyroidism and a testosterone level of an 80 year old man. I had bloodwork done and my levels were flagged as abnormal low. I also suffer from Depression and Anxiety (panic attacks)....which is probably all due to my hypothyroidism. Is there some way I can naturally increase my testosterone levels through herbs or exercise? My doctor says I'm too young for patches or gels. So I'm kinda left in the dark here.
Avatar n tn 28 year old male who recently had my testosterone levels checked. Results 410 ng/dl which my primary care tells me falls within the accepted range. However i'm currently being treated for depression as well as bi-polar dissorder and late on set ADD (possible symptoms of low T).
Avatar m tn I'm a 36 year old male and my urologist recommended I go on testosterone therapy (intramuscular injections 200mg every two weeks). I told him I still want to have kids someday, so he recommended I go on the testosterone therapy for 3 months and off 3 months and so on. I just finished my first 3 months and he warned me I would feel the effects coming off testosterone. Needless to say I have zero energy now, inability to focus, extremely tired and have a dull achy feel all around.

Avatar m tn In the mean time she will apparently still remain with virtually non existant testosterone levels. I realize that testosterone will be at low levels for a female, but her tests were with female ranges and she if at zero percent or below range (23% below range). Should my wife talk with her Dr and encourage him to start some sort of testosterone treatment with bioidentical testosterone?
Avatar m tn //www.webmd.com/men/features/can-you-boost-testosterone-naturally#1 I've also heard eating protein, carb and essential fatty acids can help increase levels. I know that isn't much help. But it's a start.
Avatar m tn Various investigations required are chromosomal studies, hormone studies like Gonadotropins (LH and FSH), Testosterone and DHT levels, thyroid hormone lvels, ultrasonography and testosterone therapy. Three kinds of exercises are there for increasing the penis size which have proved little benefit. They include jelqing, penis stretching and kegel exercises. Other methods include using penis stretchers or extenders or getting surgery done.
Avatar f tn Due to project-related sleep problems a few months ago, my testosterone levels were low. My urologist warned me that my testosterone levels should be fine once the project-related stress disappears. So far, so nice. However, I ordered Testogel (50 mg) testosterone replacement gel. I used it perhaps once per week or once every 2 weeks. I cannot tell yet if it affects muscle gains, but surely, I feel slightly different on it.
Avatar f tn Can his disease cause this problem possibly low levels testosterone? I want to do all i can so he doesnt feel self conscious.
Avatar m tn Speak with your doctor about increasing your thyroid dose, possible side effects of your blood pressure agents and getting your blood pressure down, and also testing your testosterone levels. Also, if you smoke I strongly suggest that you stop--this does not help erectile function either. Hope this helps. Good luck and take care.
Avatar f tn the weight gain is in my abdomen and hips (not usual for me) and I am at a loss. If it helps my serum testosterone levels were 13 ng/dL (normal being 8-48), and my Free Testosterone (Direct) was 0.3 pg/mL (normal range being 0.0-2.2). Avatar m tn A recent study from France found men who have a taste for spicy foods tend to have higher testosterone levels than those who can’t handle the heat. Of the 114 male participants surveyed, researchers saw a clear correlation between frequent hot-sauce usage and higher T-levels. Study authors suggest the findings may be due in part to capsaicin—the fiery compound in chili pepper that previous studies have associated with increased testosterone levels.
Avatar n tn The role of testosterone and dihydrotestosterone in muscle growth is not completely understood, however, it is known that low levels of both of these hormones in an elderly male can lead to muscle weakness and loss of muscle mass and conversely that increasing these levels cause an increase in muscle mass and strength. This medication could be contributing to your inability to gain muscle, however, there is no way to tell if it is the exact cause.

15695260 tn?1549593113 Recent research has proven one risk for our children to have Autism and that is high levels of estrogen in the womb. For a very long time, the cause has been widely unknown and that this factors in is an important development in autism research. Prior studies had already implicated higher uterine concentrations of male sex hormones -- androgens -- in increasing the odds and now researchers and doctors have more information to better understand autism.
Avatar m tn But with testosterone for example, regardless of your levels, when you start introducing external sources into the body, the body stops producing it naturally correct? This is why there is such a risk of shrinking testicles (because the body stops producing on its own)? Isn't there a similar risk with vitamin d, since it is actually a hormone? I am sure I can take 4000iu a day and it will be MONTHS before I go from 20mg/dl to 60-80mg/dl.
Avatar m tn Would that drastically effect the levels of testosterone? I read that because of my age my testosterone should be in the upper third quadrant not the lower third quadrant. I also read that probably some of the best results I could expect on Testosterone gel would not be over 500. Am I doomed or can I get my levels where they should be. I also read that men with higher testosterone levels live longer.
