gastroenteritis

Avatar m tn I contacted Shared Solutions about getting Copaxone in the Philippines several months ago, they provided me this number in Singapore, 65-65090403. Hope this maybe of some help.
Avatar m tn AIDS acute period will appear similar to the symptoms of acute gastroenteritis? Symptoms lasted for about four days, infusion improvement in 3 days. It is the acute phase of AIDS symptoms?
Avatar n tn But can find no source for it in the Philippines. Not in Cebu, not in Manila. I have a pharmacy in Canada that can provide it, but it has to be shipped in ice and can take 5 days to arrive. Fed Ex won't take it. Neither will UPS. Have to use Canada Post which "promises" 4 days. But if it gets stalled in customs, it will lose its potency. Can't find in Hong Kong or Singapore either. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!
Avatar f tn Hi It could be a case of gastroenteritis (gut infection) which has led to diarrhea and vomiting. The main symptoms of gastroenteritis are diarrhea and vomiting although one or the other symptom may predominate. If the symptoms persist (>1 day), worsen or lead to other complications you should consult your doctor who could order some tests such as stool examination etc. In the meanwhile take rest and drink lots of fluids to avoid dehydration.
Avatar m tn You should look at all the past threads in Tagalog and English, which I noticed are the two predominant languages in this forum. Many carriers in the Philippines are rejected for jobs both in the Philippines and especially the ones trying to go abroad to work in other countries. China also discriminates against its own population trying to get jobs. Some multinational companies who have set up shop (e.g. IBM) doesn't test for hbv. http://www.hc2d.co.uk/content.php?
Avatar m tn The only reason I asked about the test being sent to a lab is because apparently CDC guidelines of 2014 say that the specificity/sensitivity of rapid 4th gen test done at point of care is not as great as 4th gen test in a lab. Nonetheless in Singapore, the default for HIV 4th gen tests is point of care rapid tests so there must be some merit in that.
Avatar n tn Since Feleuk can cause problems anywhere in the body, the symptoms would depend upon where the disease is located. For example in the gastroenteritis form, anywhere from the mouth to the anus can be effected. There could be mouth problems such as stomatitis, chronic periodontal disease, in addition to vomiting and diarrhea. In the polyarthritis, immunosuppressive form, a cat could have lameness, joint swelling and pain.
672788 tn?1238120672 I knew there was a genetic component, and I could not find the incidence of the disease occuring in a family with no history of BP. I was not diagnosed by a GP, but a psychiatrist. My GP's were not keen on medicating me themselves. I am wondering if my symptoms aren't endocrinological or neurological as opposed to psychological. Esp since I have numerous concurring diagnoses combined with no family history of the disease....
147426 tn?1317265632 Nonetheless, the person given credit for the statement is in the best position in all of the CDC to make the appraisal of some many possible new Lyme cases a year. That is the information I sought, and Rebeccah found it for me/us. Thank you sooo much! As a doc myself, the whole Lyme issue seems to walk a line between hysteria and The Dark Ages. I don't believe that either side has proved it's case.
Avatar f tn I personally don't know of any in the Philippines. NDRF (dysautonomia research site) mentions Japan and Taiwan as far as Asia goes. Because you mention episodes, I wonder if any of the doctors you saw tested you for pheochromocytoma? It's a rare tumor, usually found on an adrenal gland, that can episodically give off large amounts of catecholamine(s), which can cause high blood pressure, tachycardia, headache, sweating, etc.. Tachycardia itself can make a person short of breath.
Avatar n tn In the meantime, you may want to talk to relatives to find out if there is a history in the families of any food intolerance issues or possibly celiac disease.
Avatar m tn At your age the incidence of retinal detachment is very low perhaps one in 7,000 If the "eye doctor" that saw you was a non-MD optometrist then see an Eye MD ophthalmologist. Your family MD can refer you. If you did see an eye MD then call their office for advice, a repeat exam might be in order. We cannot make or exclude a retinal detachment diagnosis over the internet.

Avatar m tn My sister Maruja was diagnosed to have a scar on the brain caused by an EGG of an SCHISTOSOMIASIS bacteria as per MRI result of the DIVINE WORD HOSPITAL in Tacloban City, Philippines. Maruja is 35 years old, and had a seizure for the first time two months ago. She is now in Hongkong working as a domestic helper to find a living for her family. Avatar n tn Hi there, Ondansetron is used for treating vomiting. Constipation, dizziness and headache are the most commonly reported side effects associated with its use. These symptoms will ware off once you have stopped using the medication. This is merely an advice and not a substitute for clinical examination. I hope it helps. Best wishes and regards!
Avatar m tn m not sure what you are searching. The UK has the lowest incidence of HSV2 that I believe lies in the range of 6-10% of the population. However you had sex with a young virgin where the incidence is 0%. I know your situation is confusing. But you are now well and truly beyond the time frame for developing antibodies. You can get the correct IgG testing privately and that will cost you, but I think it will give you peace of mind.
Avatar m tn Of course, you can. The Chinese government used to ban people with Hepatitis B working in the food industry. It has since been lifted, no scientific evidence and plain wrong.
Avatar n tn Good Morning, I had a full protected oral-vaginal sex with a sex worker with unknown HIV status. The condom didn't break cause I checked it and the semen was inside, but 5 days later I had diarrhea, vomiting and fever that last 48 hours. I went to the hospital and the doctor after some research and a typical blood test told me that it is a gastroenteritis . Please help me cause since then I can't sleep , I am always thiniking of my family, my son and I am going to lose my mind.
Avatar f tn When we go to the doctors for help they weigh the pro's and con's of the side effects and then send you off to role the dice and see what you get. I'm sure they don't want you to get a side effect but they are not the ones who have to suffer with them so it's not a big deal.

Avatar f tn I live in a very rural town in NW PA. and wonder what the rate of hiv is in rural america. Is this somewhere that you would consider a high risk area for heterosexual transmission of hiv? Is there a web site that talks about hiv in rural america or that gives the numbers?
Avatar m tn Hello all, I recently made a stupid mistake in the Philippines. Had roughly 20 secs of unprotected sex with a sex worker in the philippines. I was drunk and stopped after I realized the severity of the situation. The next morning I was very scared and freaking out. I went to a nearby clinic and told the doctor that a condom broke during sex with a local sex worker. He mentioned a prophylaxis and antibiotics. I was worried about HIV and thought that this prophylaxis was for aids.
