Yes he was a founder of the band and dropped out of it because of schizophrenia which was exascerbated by substance abuse. Chances are good if he hadn't gotten into illegal drugs he might have been okay. Not sure. He did record a couple of solo albums after that which were very brilliant and disjointed. The band might have gone more places musically if he had remained in it. Even after he stopped recording he continued to do artwork. He is a fascinating figure.

Your very young and still have not found your interests in life, but i could recomment try some writing like poetry or even song lyrics. You sound like a loner and this lone time could bring a big thing to you if you practice your creative side. Many song artist are looking for lyrics and will pay big money for them. (not the music side, just the lyrics). You could also invent a product as the U.S. is a very big consumer market. (Its not that complicated to do this) Just takes a simple idea.

I tend to feel afraid to leave the house, take chances, take risks... Fear of having a meltdown and feeling lost... I also tend to feel numb inside, like I should be feeling a lot more than I feel... Those particular lines speak to me.

I have to snort 30mg of focalin just to get a high. My favorite band for lyrics is Jars of Clay, and my favorite song is World Apart. My favorite band for sound is probably AfterEIGHT. I basically like all kinds of Christian music though. Whether it be worship, rap, rock, punk, metal, etc.
