Common Questions and Answers about Illegal drug use symptoms

Avatar f tn I believe that illegal drug use can brin out dormant GAD. I know this from experience. I used cocaine once and that brought out my first panic attack and week of derealization. THen i was back to normal for couple months. THen one night after having couple shots of tequilla, boom anxiety symptoms appeared. It began with pressure in the head then lead to more common symptoms like being nervous, anxious, fear of dying and beeing doomed, etc.
Avatar m tn Hi everyone - If you have a question about the side effects of using a drug, that's fine, but we can not allow posts that encourage illegal activity. It's also safer for you if you aren't posting on the internet that you are using illegal drugs.
Avatar m tn Could be Kratom. It is bought online, and they put "not for human consumption" on it to please the FDA and DEA. Otherwise, it would be illegal. On the sites, it sells itself by saying, "it's incense for burning" or some crap. The thing is that he's YOUR child, underage, living in your home??? I'd toss it and send him to rehab before it's too late. That may sound harsh, but you may be saving his life. This is what you actually found.
Avatar n tn After 6 months of using, there should not be significant damage yet, but there is a possibility that a small hole is being made and if so, that is why you can feel it in the other nostril, that happened to me. If you have been clean for 2 weeks, your nose has not had time to heal and it will be swollen and sore i imagine. i don't think you need to worry about your nose, it will heal after you stop unless you create that hole.
Avatar n tn For a typical drug test (i.e. one they would use for employment or one they would use at a pain management clinic to test for illegal/improperly taken substances), is the answer. there are tests that can show tramadol use, but because it's a synthetic opiate it does not show up on your typical drug test. if you have a prescription it doesn't matter either way...
948349 tn?1294380237 Hello... I'm just wondering if anyone has considered that drug use may cause an onset of Parkinson's disease? Has anyone abused certain drugs such as cocaine that may induce Parkinson's? Or is it based on genetic or other environmental factors?
Avatar m tn There is a possibility he is still having symptoms from spice, but drug use is a symptom of other issues. If he quit and nothing more, he will continue to have personality and behavior problems. Do you know anybody who is close to them that you could talk to?
Avatar m tn I would ask you to step back for a moment and question all of the generalities you prescribe to drug use. Drug use is not an all or nothing proposition. Consider your eating of cholesterol. Cholesterol can do serious damage to your arteries and cause severe and often fatal heart disease. I presume you don't have the same reaction to people who eat cholesterol.
Avatar f tn I have a 17-year old son who has been diagnosed with mild bipolar disorder (NOS) and we are in the process of getting blood test, EKG for his psychiatrist to prescribe Depakote. He has bought Kratom over the internet before, and my husband and I thought it was a type of tea, but later found out it's illegal in several countries ( it is legal in the US), and that it has psychoactive properties. He has been bugging us to buy him more, saying that it really helps him with sleep and anxiety.

Avatar n tn Not only that she is preagnet again and i didnt know if i could prove her drug use with him then maybe there would be something we could do with the court systems to make her check into a rehab until after the baby is born to make sure that this one dont have the same problems as he does. Thanks for yalls in put!!!!
Avatar m tn These negative aspects make it a potential drug. That is why there are countries which have banned this drug. In the United States, however the drug is fairly new and it is banned only in a few states. If found possession of kratom in those states, you could land in up jail for 6 months or could have to pay a fine of $500 or both. Some people categorize kratom products as a legal high drug. Legal high drugs are those which can get you high but are still not banned by FDA.
Avatar m tn Seroquel has been linked to diabetes.
Avatar f tn -) ) But marijuana can help clear the mind and allow the root of a problem to come to the surface and be resolved. If you do smoke, maybe give that a try and just keep reminding yourself that you are in a safe place. If you dont smoke, maybe try sitting quietly and try clearing your mind to allow the problem to surface. I hope things get better for you. Good luck!
722833 tn?1230728731 I disagree with Kiki, I do believe it is a serious matter and like it or not, marijuana is illegal and partaking in the use of illegal drugs during pregnancy is a CPS issue. It is more of an issue as this is not a matter of being addicted to a drug and being unable to quit without treatment, but rather willfully using it despite known consequences. A drug, is a drug, is a drug. The laws in this country speak clearly on this issue.
Avatar f tn Here in the UK, they only do it if mother is a known drug user or if they have reason to suspect drug use.
Avatar n tn The presence of codeine can be the result of either heroin or codeine use. The presence of morphine can be the result of the use of heroin, codeine, or morphine. Relative levels of codeine and morphine can help determine their origin. With the new higher cutoff levels (2,000 ng/ml), Heroin use will generally only produce a positive test result for a day after single use (somewhat longer with chronic use). I hope this helps, if you have any more questions please feel free to ask.
