Avatar m tn I thought Quinine the drug was taken off the market in the US? Is the quinine in the soda the same that was in the Quinine drug I got for leg cramps years ago? Quinine used to be a prescription drug, to have it in a tonic water would be great but is this possible, I mean I know it's possible but I don't think they're one and the same.
1649704 tn?1402778437 Should we do more than slap people on the wrist for selling illegal drugs? What more can be done for those who are lost in drug addiction?... Illegal drug use has effected some of my family and friends, and probably yours. I would really like some input on this.
212720 tn?1304375415 appraisal value and market value are two different things...not sure if you meant market value..and if that is the case...then something is very WRONG... Market value is what houses are selling for in your neighbourhood... Appraisal Value is what the insurance companies. and finance companies use to make sure the value is there...I know they are very similar...but when the market takes a crapper...your appraised value stays the same (when you first got mortgage or insurance)...
Avatar f tn It is really sad for both them and us who are suffering. It is the illegal drug market that is truly responsible for this mess. The blind tests are meant to keep people who acquire meds from docs and sell them illegally, from being able to do that. At my PCPs office the computer randomly spits out a patient to be screened. I don't know however why you would show a negative. Possibility is that something you take is interacting with something else and giving a false result.
415684 tn?1257329318 Seems like a lot to me for one drug out of many. The author also talks about the money drug companies spent on explaining drugs to doctors. These are sales calls pure and simple. And as for the authors comments about "ask your doctor" ads, these ads are responsible for people asking for drugs which may or may not benefit them more than other unadvertised drugs. Read with caution.
Avatar f tn Is anyone watching the stock market? This week, it dropped over 800 pts. Since last October 07, it's dropped 2000 pts. I am worried about losing more money. They say it hasn't stopped yet, no one knows where it will end. Am I alone in this? I never really watched the stock market before but I have a mutual fund that has been going down for the last year. Would love to hear all of your thoughts on this subject.

Avatar n tn I don't have time to read this whole post but when I saw the question and the Drs answer, I had to say something. I weened myself off of Paxil 4 yrs ago and I think it should be illegal. Anything that screws with your brain so bad that you have HORRIBLE withdrawal symptoms for SO long should not be on the market and that goes for Lexapro and all of that stuff. It took me 7 months to get off of it and I was only on it for a year. It appalls me that this drug is legal, but pot isn't.
148588 tn?1465778809 "Market thinking so permeates our lives that we barely notice it anymore. A leading philosopher sums up the hidden costs of a price-tag society." http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2012/04/what-isn-8217-t-for-sale/8902/ "There are some things money can’t buy—but these days, not many. Almost everything is up for sale. For example: • A prison-cell upgrade: $90 a night.
874521 tn?1424116797 While doctors are allowed to prescribe any drug for off-label use, it is ILLEGAL for pharma companies to promote a drug for anything other than what it has been approved by the FDA to treat. Eli Lilly was found guilty of doing this. But hey, it's alright. If you develop diabetes from taking Zyprexa, you can just take Humilin, Eli Lilly's biosynthetic insulin approved for use in type I and II diabetes...

Avatar m tn talking about lam is just crazy, the drug should be taken off the normal market, it is now useless for both hbv and hiv, anyway the market will kill it soon together with adefovir
Avatar n tn If a doctor prescribes you a drug that is FDA approved, as appears to have happened in this case, you didn't take an illegal drug. It's only illegal if you take it without a prescription.
Avatar f tn It says that your 19 and live in CA. So that means you would be 20 and still illegal for you to drink. We do not endorce criminal behavior.
Avatar m tn Due to improved access to medication and a burgeoning middle class, Datamonitor forecasts that the hepatitis B drugs market in China will reach a total value of $701.5 million in 2019 in hospitals alone. IMS Health puts the overall market figure at $1.3 billion. It is a huge market and Agenix is familiar with how it works. Avatar f tn There is not alot of people I can talk to who would understand why I need to know. It this a real drug and does it work. My bf I care about very much is in treatment again. He is seriosly considering Ibogaine, so any feed back would be great he is 40 and needs to stop his cycle of substance abuse.
Avatar f tn s why everyone talks about bad trips. When this drug first entered the illegal market nobody took it without a guide, then it became just another drug. Usually it's cut with speed, which makes the high longer but also makes it harder to come down from a bad trip. I was young when this drug was young, and most people handled it fine. The ones I met who didn't usually took a lot of it at one time or mixed a lot of drugs together at one time.
Avatar f tn It's illegal now. It causes death. I recommend starting hCG injections. You can google "hcg diet in houston" and I'm sure you will find a place that can help you. This is much more safer and effective than phentermine. That is very dangerous to your heart and has been known to kill people that is why they won't sell / prescribe it to you.
Avatar m tn These negative aspects make it a potential drug. That is why there are countries which have banned this drug. In the United States, however the drug is fairly new and it is banned only in a few states. If found possession of kratom in those states, you could land in up jail for 6 months or could have to pay a fine of $500 or both. Some people categorize kratom products as a legal high drug. Legal high drugs are those which can get you high but are still not banned by FDA.
572651 tn?1530999357 s generic Copaxone may get through the FDA soon and Lanquinimod the new Teva MS drug is behind schedule, Gileyna is already on the market. Copaxone is a third of Teva's sales. The stock price is falling and they promised there investors to double the stock price in 5 years. If they are afraid as they called Copaxone the "Goose which lays the golden eggs" will have its run they need to make as much profit from it while they can.
