Avatar f tn Hi there and thanks so much for posting this question I would suggest that at your age you are careful with changes in your metabolism. What is metabolism? Metabolism is a collection of chemical reactions that takes place in the body's cells. Metabolism converts the fuel in the food we eat into the energy needed to power everything we do, from moving to thinking to growing. If you want to lose weight The safest amount of weight you can lose is anything from .5 to 2 lbs a week.
Avatar n tn 110 pounds. Please help. This actually makes me very low self esteem becasue of this and the only way, I feel, that could help this problem is to hit my ideal weight. I am willing to do just about anything... other than lipo :) which is because i am 17 and have no money. Thank you for your help. It is greatly appreciated!!!
Avatar f tn I have been on it for over 2 years with no weight gain. My weight has remained stable, but I notice that no matter what I do, I don't lose weight either. I'm about 20 pounds over my "ideal" weight, according to the charts, and even though I'm muscular, I still have more tummy fat than is healthy. Cymbalta has been a good choice for me since I also have a lot of pain. I've looked at the side effects and weight gain doesn't seem to be an issue in most cases.
Avatar n tn Your ideal weight depends on your age, as well as your height and weight. A child's ideal weight will be different from that of a teenager and a teenager will be different from that of an adult. There are a variety of exercises that will burn fat.
Avatar m tn do I look overweight? Do I have a big belly or large hips? This is obviously a subjective test, but it certainly offers a quick way to verify. To conclude, it is often more important to check out your physical stamina and health than your body weight. Hope it's helping!
479244 tn?1271563659 Does anyone know anything about the IDEAL study? This is where I think the info came from regarding my original decision to go with the pegintron.... less relapse rate, less sides, stays in system shorter amt. of time when you come off , etc. My new nurse, said that study had a lot of flaws and she did not put a lot of faith in it and talked me into pegysus... any comments would be appreciated.
Avatar n tn Hello, I am a 29 year old female, 5'4 and 131 pounds. I recently lost over 100 pounds in the course of a year through diet and exercise. (starting weight 244 in September of 2010). I have always been overweight, and now have a lot of excess skin, which is to be expected. My question is about my ideal weight. My goal started at 150 pounds, then 140, then 130, now I'm thinking my ideal would be 120.
Avatar f tn your best weight depends on several factors besides your age. How tall are you? What is your body type, i.e., small boned, large boned, average boned, medium boned. The best thing to do is type into your internet, "Ideal weight, or what is my ideal weight"? The internet will help you figure it out. I am 5'11" tall and my ideal weight would be 105 lbs. (if I were younger) to 112 lbs. I have a small frame.
Avatar f tn 48 you do not express any aches when you were there at those numbers only weight loss. Now at 1.1 which is usually ideal for most thyroid patients you seems to be having trouble. I would go back to the physician and explain that you felt much better at .48 and see if you can be tweeked to maybe an in between range of .48 and 1.1. That may be difficult to find a doctor that will actually do this since 1.1 is ideal on a reference range for patients.
Avatar f tn Hey, I'm 14, I've been an agonist gymnast for years and now I stopped doing gymnastics. (I still make some gym exercises, 30 minutes per day) the problem is that during these years my legs have became very thick beacuse of the increasing of muscular mass....I hate thick legs and I'd like to have slim ones....how do I lose that muscular mass?
Avatar m tn about getting this resolved. ;-p It should be noted that I use a CPAP at night and I am probably 20lbs above my ideal weight. I sleep with a wedge in my bed, eat healthy organic foods, rarely drink and don't do drugs. I did smoke for years but not for a long time now. Any ideas? Thanks for reading...
Avatar f tn I'm not very good at metrics so I converted 56 kg and come up with between 120-129 lb. That's not ideal but I've seen a lot more weight stacked onto a 5' body. You don't mention your body make up; eg: you say you have really big thighs. Are the muscular, a bit flabby, or littered with cellulite? You also didn't mention your age. Losing weight and/or contouring your body is really not that difficult but it does take time.
Avatar n tn Hello, I am exercising 3-4 times a week with weight and cardio(30-40min)I did Spartan race last year, run 10K Nike run and other competitions. I Eat ok, not super healthy, but most of the time quite right. I don't seem to drop a gram of weight, I even gain 2 KG for the past year( which is probably muscle mass) my clothes fit the same but I have myself for not being able to look better, leaner. My goal is to look very lean and muscular, not skinny. Please help ....
Avatar m tn Hi I have a dull ache below my right shoulder blade, that radiates at times to the bottom right of my ribs. My dr took an xray to ensure no growths etc in lung. Could this be gallbladder? I had an ultrasound in March for some GI issues, but that scan didn't identify stones. Could stones appear within such a short period of time? Could I have a different issue besides gallbladder? Or how common are gallbladder issues without stones? What should the next steps be?
10840278 tn?1424816083 Not only will the improved sleep help you be more focussed and energetic, but sleep plays an important part in weight loss. Several hormones that control your appetite and metabolism are regulated by your sleep patterns so creating a healthy sleep schedule can have a positive effect on those systems as well. 5333703 tn?1366564561 I have had a large clitoris all my life, thought I was a woman. then I started bodybuilding and now I have small testicles and a small penis what can I do? I also put on 5" of mass on my arms and 3" of mass on my calves in 9 months, no prior weight lifting. I'm surprising myself all the time at how strong I was starting out, and how quickly I keep getting stronger with heavy lifting. I think I might be some kind of hermaphrodite. Please help?
Avatar f tn You could begin doing toning exercises, lose a bit of weight overall (not sure what the ideal weight is for 5 foot 8. Build up your quads so your calves seem more in proportion or best . . . just say forget about it. I used to feel like my ankles were largish for the rest of me. I was super into working out and was very VERY thin. And yet, my ankles and calves looked large. No idea why. As I've gotten older, I swear, they seem more normal.
Avatar f tn As you may already know muscular people way a little more than regular built people as muscles way more than fat so you may just be gaining new muscle growth if you are not eating anything that you normally don't
Avatar f tn Your midwife or doctor will let you know how much weight is ideal for you to put on during your pregnancy. If you have a normal BMI they say between 11 - 16kg weight gain is fine.. I at 29w and I think I have gained around 10kg so far, but in the beginning weight gain was very slow! At this stage I think your fine :) But remember weight gain is not all you putting on weight.. bub, fluid, placenta all add to it.
