Avatar f tn I'm not very good at metrics so I converted 56 kg and come up with between 120-129 lb. That's not ideal but I've seen a lot more weight stacked onto a 5' body. You don't mention your body make up; eg: you say you have really big thighs. Are the muscular, a bit flabby, or littered with cellulite? You also didn't mention your age. Losing weight and/or contouring your body is really not that difficult but it does take time.
Avatar m tn If anyone told me during treatment that I'd have a problem losing weight a year later, I'd think they were crazy. During treatment I lost over 30 lbs, a lot of it lean muscle mass, and most of it within the first three months of treating. Within three months of ending treatment, all the weight came back but not surprisngly a greater proportion came back as fat as opposed to muscle.

Also, even though I have all this fat on my stomach.....if you poke when I flex....I still have my 6 pack!! you can feel it...through the fluff. I've gained significant weight while on these drugs (despite an intense exercise program and careful diet). My nutritionist and MD told me that the drugs likely altered my metabolism, but no one can tell me how long it will take to correct that. Most frustrating, I've noticed that since I stopped taking both, my weight gain has accelerated.

I'm about 20 pounds over my "ideal" weight, according to the charts, and even though I'm muscular, I still have more tummy fat than is healthy. Cymbalta has been a good choice for me since I also have a lot of pain. I've looked at the side effects and weight gain doesn't seem to be an issue in most cases. Hope this helps you.

Avatar f tn 48 you do not express any aches when you were there at those numbers only weight loss. Now at 1.1 which is usually ideal for most thyroid patients you seems to be having trouble. I would go back to the physician and explain that you felt much better at .48 and see if you can be tweeked to maybe an in between range of .48 and 1.1. That may be difficult to find a doctor that will actually do this since 1.1 is ideal on a reference range for patients.

Build up your quads so your calves seem more in proportion or best . . . just say forget about it. I used to feel like my ankles were largish for the rest of me. I am limited in what I can do due to the OA in my knees and RA everywhere else, but besides the knee pain I have no\problems or other symptoms while exercising, I just need to keep it under a run and stay a a fast walking rate. Right now, I'm doing 45 mins per day on a treadmill or until I burn 500 calories and get in 3 miles at a minimum, even on days I travel, I always find the exercise room.

I did go through the list and have most of the symptoms, I cant sleep worth a crap at night but then that leads me to be tired as crap during the day.

I have three kids and gained with each one. I actually gained less than most people do, but I didn't take much off. I am now working to take it all off.
