Avatar f tn When I found out I was pregnant I was 197lbs and then I lost weight and now at 38 weeks I weigh 202 lbs but my doc said my weight gain doesn't really reflect the babies gain he's estimated my baby to be 8 lbs 4 Oz
4963258 tn?1395605672 How much weight did everyone gain in their first trimester? I'm a FTM and I've already gained 8lbs, just entered my second trimester (14wks) today. It's hard to go for walks as well, whenever I walk just up the road and back at least one side of my hip will start hurting and then I have to lay with my feet up. Any one else have that problem?
Avatar f tn Iv lost weight went from 197 to 190 I am hoping to gain some weight soon because if not could be unhealthy for the baby
94902 tn?1330483267 i was in really good shape before i got pregnant, so i feel every friggin pound!! ugh. I'm totally jealous of you, Tasia!! I am not huge, but I feel soft everywhere and i feel like i'm bulging out of my clothes. I'm very self-conscious about it (which isn't helping our sex life, lol). We had just been on vacation (that's where we knocked me up) and when we came back from eating all the decadent food, I weighed 142 (I'm 5' 7.
Avatar n tn Anyone know a good way to gain weight? I'm not sick, I just have a high metabolism. I'm 5'4" and I weigh 102. Yeah, I know, what am I complaining for? It's not all it's cracked up to be... I don't weigh enough, and I feel like I eat all the time....
Avatar f tn I did not gain weight on lithium but I sure have on Mirtazapine (Remeron). Weight gain is not a certainty on lithium nor on any drug but the majority of AD, AP, MS and a pile of other drugs used in mental illness treatment have Weight Gain as a possible side effect.
Avatar n tn I had a hyster in 05. Same situation as all of you. I have gained 23lbs after working at Weight Watchers and losing 52lbs in 03. I have started researching weight gain and hysterectomies just yesterday. I am a Christian, believer in JC.
Avatar n tn The other day my chiropractor gave me a hard time about my weight gain. He told me if I keep gaining weight then my spine and pelivs are going to suffer and that I should try to watch what I eat a little more. A few of my extended family members have been putting in their 2 cents as well. My mother-in-law keeps telling me that she only gained 20lbs through her whole pregnancy and that 2lbs per month was the recommended weight gain.
Avatar n tn For each of my previous (four week interval) dr visits, the nurse would weigh me in at a 1 lb weight gain total for those four weeks. At this visit I had on Wednesday, I have apparently gained 11 lbs in four weeks. Does this sount pretty normal to you guys? The dr didnt mention anything about it and Im just curious of what your weight gains were around my same gestational time.
Avatar n tn I was told by my phys. that Lexapro would not cause a weight gain while taking it for slight depression. If it causes weight gain, I need to get off this stuff. Please provide feedback.
Avatar n tn What I have found is that in some people, undiagnosed celiac will cause them to lose weight and for others, they gain weight. If you not familiar with what celiac is, its an allergy to gluten (wheat, barley, rye, etc.). If you have this and eat anything with gluten, you kill off the villi in your intestines which cause you bosy not to absord any nutrients - therefore causing many other health issues.
Avatar n tn I am trying to put on some weight and have put on a few kilos but still haven't got my periods back (I haven't had one for 2 years- which is when I stopped taking the pill to see if I would menstrate normally). Is there any way to know if I'm still fertile (as terrifying as that question is)? Also what sort of BMI do I need to be before I can expect to get my periods back? I currently have a BMI of 16.5-17 which is about the heaviest I've been since I was a teenager.
Avatar f tn On this app alone it says for week 34 that weight gain from 20-28 pounds is normal range .
Avatar n tn - I am probably considered quite slim for my build normally. All my babies weighed in on or over 9lbs, so the rest of my weight gain (that didn't include the baby) was around 18-20lbs. I thought this was pretty normal and to be honest your weight gain sounds fine. I don't think you'll put on as much weight as your dr indicated in the next few months. Maybe another 15-20lbs tops (if that). So far with baby #4, I have put on 11.5lbs and I'm only 17.5weeks.
15480 tn?1302533402 I went on myspace last night and checked out your site and I looked at newbie's pics. You girls are so pretty. How do you join myspace? I am somewhat computer challenged. We just got a scanner for our computer at home so I should be able to post some pics soon. I am having one of those days where I feel fat and ugly. I started out at my heaviest weight ever in the 150's and I used to be in the 130's. I am almost 5'6". I dread losing the weight, I hope it comes off.
97615 tn?1212682189 Anyway, I lost 15 pounds with my first pregnancy due to morning sickness and didn't gain weight for awhile, but packed it on at the end, total of 23 pounds- so I was a net gain of 8 pounds over what I started at. There were 3 of us pregnant at work at the same time, each a month behind the other and one of the gals gained more weight, close to 50 pounds, but she lost it all and is so skinny now.
349463 tn?1333575176 I'm checking in to see how everyone else is doing with their weight gain. I know for some of us it can be hard to put the pounds on and even harder to make sure we don't gain too much. I'm already looking forward to losing the weight after the baby is born!
Avatar f tn Just need a little advice. I know the normal weight gain is 25-30 pounds for a woman who is at their ideal weight before pregnancy.
Avatar f tn This plus some blood circulation through one of the uterine arteries problems that might limit the nutrients to the baby in the 3rd trimester. So she gave me some pills for circulation and told me to eat 3000 calories/day. It is a target impossible for me! I manage to eat about 2500 calories, and feel way to full. Which I dislike. :( moreover, I always had a fast metabolism and due to that and anxiety and job committment (always mobilised, involved, active) I hardly put on weigh.
Avatar f tn I eat less than 500 calories a day, but still don't loose weight. When I was really sick, I stopped eating all together for 2 weeks - and didn't loose any weight at all. Anyone got any helpful hints how to get the metabolism moving without cardio exercise?
172023 tn?1334675884 So our current thinking on average birth weights has to adjust as women in this decade are told to gain certain amounts based on their starting weight and babies are being born at averages of 8 lbs or so rather than 5 and 6 lbs of many years ago. Right now, in the 1st trimester, my midwife instructed me to just eat what stays down. Of course I have to do this smartly.
Avatar f tn My doctor said everyone gains different and if you were ideal or under weight before you will tend to gain more during. Don't stress about that like I did you will lose it after!
443968 tn?1288616289 I guess that age matter too and also when I became pregnant I was already over my ideal body weight, I was weighting 145 when I my ideal body weight is 125-130. To become pregnant I had to have series of infertility treatment for about 4 and half years, so I was taking a lot of hormones and having to inject them too for a long time, so this made me gain weight too, that is why I was already over when I became preggo, and the first 4 months of my pregnancy I was kept on hormone injections too.
Avatar n tn the weight loss was sudden but it no longer sems to effect weight loss or gain. if you are planning to take this drug specifically for weight loss, be aware that side effects are pretty debilitating and that it is not really a sustainable option. can any enlighten me on the effects of adderall/provgil and metforin?
Avatar f tn Not everyone's boobs grow everyone's body, pregnancy, and baby are different.
15977349 tn?1444395762 If a woman’s body weight is less than 95% of predicted ideal body weight or greater than 120% of predicted ideal body weight, then appropriate weight gain or weight loss should be the primary therapeutic recommendation." (asrm.
443968 tn?1288616289 I still force myself to eat, i hope i will start gaining pounds soon!! Although, they say, usually u only start showing at 4 months and that's where you gain weight...I don't know, I want it to be January already, that way I will be 14 weeks and the possiblitiy of m/c is 1%... also, I read that if you saw a h/b, then the possibility of m/c is significally low...but who knows...too early to be very happy!
222234 tn?1216343635 GREAT JOB!! Your pedi should be praising you for that weight gain on breastmilk.. mine did. Ava slept through the night earlier than most, but she slept minimal during the day. Babies are sooo different, it's hard to say what you could do.
Avatar n tn I went today for my first week weight check and my second weight loss for my first week is 9.5 pounds!!!! Anyone else using Phentermine and B12? I would love to hear how other people have done on these meds. Good Luck to everyone trying...I want to hear your story!
