Avatar m tn According to the researchers, bending over is ideal for recovery for multiple reasons. For one, it slightly moves your body’s primary breathing muscle—the diaphragm—so you can bring more air into your lungs with each breath, says Brilla. The position also allows your abdominal muscles to force out more carbon dioxide every time you exhale, she says. And that’s important, because CO2 is a byproduct of exercise.

I try to keep in shape cuz I don't wanna gain too much more weight- but it's so hard to do much of anything else. I mean- going up the stairs is a hassel itself. Or trying to sit up from laying on my back... I didn't see my doctor at my last apt, I got some nurse chick that just measured my tummy, and then got the doppler to check the heart beat- told me to come back in a month.

Avatar f tn Dear fellow sufferers, I can't tell you how relieved I was to hear that I am not alone. I too suffer from the same abdominal cramps. I have noticed that we all share almost identical symptoms and situations that seem to induce the pain. -Cramps come on during strenuous exercise. -Usually at the beginning or soon after a streunous push during running.
Avatar n tn I sincerely want to get back in shape and lose weight, but excerise comes to a SCREECHING HALT when it comes to sit-ups due to the pain associated after reaching 4-10 sit-ups. At first I thought it may have been from childbearing, perhaps the loss of muscles or maybe some damage was done. Throughout all the weight gain over the years and unstable weight fluctuation I became confused! Afterall, childbirth can do a lot of damage to a womans body.
Avatar n tn Since that time I have forced myself to work through the weight lifting and have cut out the the stairmaster (which did cause a lot of sweating). I found that after a few days the flu like symptoms would diminish from the weight lifting. However, if a took a break for a week or so and then got back into it I went through the same thing. I am in very good shape and I don't know what to do to fix the problem. I had considered the possibility of mineral depletion but I do eat well.

I am 54 and it just started about two years ago and is getting worse. It does feel like needles pricking under the skin and tiny ants crawling all over as one poster mentioned. It is the worst kind of itching I have ever had.
