Avatar m tn My husband was diagnosed with a condition called neurogenic cough. It has been described as a chronic cough where the nerve that provides sensation to the voicebox and is responsible for triggering the cough reflex has been injured, usually by a virus. When this happens, the nerve's level of sensitivity before it triggers the cough reflex becomes markedly reduced; in other words, it becomes hyper-sensitive.
Avatar f tn TORADOLORAL (ketorolac tromethamine), a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), is indicated for the short-term (up to 5 days in adults), management of moderately severe acute pain that requires analgesia at the opioid level and only as continuation treatment following IV or IM dosing of ketorolac tromethamine, if necessary. The total combined duration of use of TORADOLORAL and ketorolac tromethamine should not exceed 5 days.
Avatar f tn I called the doctor and he stated that he used the strongest pediatric eye drops. He also said that he would put in her chart to use the milder eye drops. My daughter has blue eyes. My main concern now is that her headache is getting worse even though she has taken ibuprofen. How long should I wait before I have her evaluated?
Avatar m tn If you are stage 3 you can take any analgesic within dosing limits. Your liver function has not been altered by your liver disease yet. If you become stage 4 (cirrhosis) then you will have to modify what drugs you can take because the liver is no longer able to process drugs in a normal manner. Tramadol is an synthetic opiate and should not be taken for "mild" pain.

Avatar f tn ve heard a couple of doctors (not diabetes specialists) say that diabetics should never take ibuprofen because of potential damage to the kidneys, which, coupled with the potential damage from the diabetes itself, could significantly increase the possibility of kidney failure. I would be very interested to hear what diabetes specialists have to say on this because prior to this many doctors (fully aware of the type 1 diabetes) recommended daily ibuprofen for various problems such as back pain.
Avatar m tn If you go to an orthopedist, make sure that it is a pediatric orthopedist because your son is still growing, and growth plates are still active. Has ibuprofen helped with the pain? He also could be experiencing "growing pain", which is literally that, but there may be special precautions he has to take depending on where the pain is. Another reason to see an pediatric orthopedist.
Avatar n tn I really can't comment on what it could be without an examination, or looking at the biopsy results. That said, there are a variety of reasons that can lead to gastritis, or an inflammation of the stomach. These can include an ulcer, or an autoimmune etiology that can lead to increased acid production. Despite a negative H Pylori test, there are rare instances of false negatives, and a breath or stool test can be performed for confirmation.

If your regular pharmacy is closed on Sunday, call any pharmacist availabe at your local grocery store or drug store such as Walgreens, CVS, or RiteAid.

I just seen this today while doing research as to this is my first. i have been taking it before I found out I was thinking my period was coming and I've always had bad cramps so I know to start taking it before my period comes to help with the pain. Avatar m tn Can Kidney pain be a side effect of taking Ibuprofen? I was taking ibuprofen last week consecutively for 3 days (400mg t.i.d) after laser eye surgery. A day or so after starting it I experienced mild pain/discomfort in my left flank that came in waves. When I stopped taking the ibuprofen the flank pain also stopped. The next day I took one more dose - the flank pain started again within an hour, but was gone the next day.
