ibuprofen muscle pain

One of my worst symptoms is the body and joint pain. I am taking Ibuprofen and Tyelenol but neither seem to cut it. My provider wanted to give me Ultram but I am a recevery addict who's last re;apse was on Ultram. Haas anyone found a good alternative treatment for the aches and pians? Ya'll have a good day.

I always suggest that ppl consult their physicians when they have pain for an extended period of time. You may be absolutely right, your pain could be due to a strained muscle. My concern is that after a month you have not noted an improvement. It may be time to consult your PCP. Have you tried NSAIDs? If not you may want to talk to your Pharmacist and ask for a suggestion. NSAIDs can help with inflammation.

Similar pain returns again when I become extremely erect, but only when extremely erect - not just partly erect or not erect at all. The pain is internal like a muscle strain or damage and not a skin irritation in any way, which would explain why this only happens when I become very erect. This happened about 2 weeks ago and is still occuring when I become fully erect, although the pain seems less (although still there.) Is this muscle strain or damage? What should I do about this?

I called my PCP today for a prescription for Ibuprofen. I am hoping a stronger dose of ibuprofen will help with the pain and healing. Does anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone had this kind of injury?

One day I got out of the car and my tailbone hurt really bad. The pain has lasted since then. When I touch the tailbone, it is the very tip that hurts. I didn't fall on it. There are no visual signs of anything! What could this be?! I'm scared to go to the doctors!

Have u had ur trapizeis (sp) muscle checked? I too experience similar pain and have had my trapizeis muscle messed up among other things.

The other night, I woke up with a pain under my left breast along my side from my middle to upper rib cage. I'm thinking that I pulled a muscle? It hurts when I breath in deeply and it is hard to sleep at night. The first day was not too bad but into night and morning number 2 it's getting worse. I'm trying Flexall and some Ibuprofen for the pain, should this make it better? Any tips on sleeping?

Can Kidney pain be a side effect of taking Ibuprofen? I was taking ibuprofen last week consecutively for 3 days (400mg t.i.d) after laser eye surgery. A day or so after starting it I experienced mild pain/discomfort in my left flank that came in waves. When I stopped taking the ibuprofen the flank pain also stopped. The next day I took one more dose - the flank pain started again within an hour, but was gone the next day.

I have also have my pain that comes and goes in the back of my thigh when I stand. Also have experienced right and left calf pain and twitching/muscle spasms in my right leg. I just had an ultrasound on my leg that came back normal, but could it still be a blood clot? My doctor told me to take ibuprofen and follow up with her in a month even though I told her its getting worse. What else could this be?

Ibuprofen can cause HBP. I had to stop it for a time but was able to go back on it after my BP came down.

Just a quick question about the effects of Ibuprofen on the heart. Sometimes when I feel I'm having a bad "heart" day, either really strong beats followed by weak ones, or my PVC's/PAC's, I will take an advil and I usually start feeling better. I mentioned this to my PCP once and he said Ibuprofen has many effects on the body, it's not just a fever reducer/pain reliever so it very well could be effecting the heart.

I pulled a muscle or pinched a nerve in my lower back. Anti-inflammatories help but it's going on two weeks now and I'm not sure whether to call a chiropractor or orthopedic surgeon. Many years ago, I remember a similiar situation and a chiropractor did some manipulations and cured what was causing the pain. Now I look at chiropractors and they are advertising lasers and spinal decompression along with manipulations. I would think an xray would be the first thing needed?

My lingering pain is behind my left ear down the left side of my neck. It is a constant pain. I think I tensed up as I fell and maybe pulled a muscle. Is it even possible to pull a muscle there? I've been taking ibuprofen. I tried holding a heating pad on my neck last night but it didn't do any good. Is ibuprofen the best remedy?

nothing will be wrong with your baby i was taking it every day for 12 days i was taking nearly 1 pack every day because of the pain i know i wasnt meant to but the pain was so unbareable i just kept taking them. but try and not stress your baby will be fine.

ve been taking 800mg tabs as needed for my back pain but he suggests not using Ibuprofen but instead take the pain meds. Pain at it's worse can cause stress. Stress weakens the immune system. Ask your Gastro... If your insurance covers it, get an MRI. Hot and ice packs help but they are just a temporary fix. They just camouflage the problem. You want to fix the problem. Could be something simple. Again, the MRI tells all... Good luck...

If the pain has improved with ibuprofen and if the pulse rate and blood pressure were good, you need not worry. It may not be anginal pain. Anginal pain is usually aggravated with exercise and is associated with sweating. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Apply some warm compresses on the thigh and take some anti-inflammatory pain killer like ibuprofen or diclofenac.Also apply some topical muscle relaxant.If however the pain persists,then it is important to rule our nerve compression which can also present with such features.A consultation of an orthopedician in that case will be the best.
