I had a really bad headache yesterday and took 6 200mg ibuprofen tablets ( 2 every 4 hours 3 times) and then I found out today your not suppose to take ibuprofen. I'm really worried, will everything be okay?

ok I just read online that you are not suppose to take ibuprofen while you are pregnant again im 5 weeks i took total of seven not all together of course over say a period of maybe two days due to a severe toothache did i do something stupid is my baby going to be ok.

At least your so early in your pregnancy that you should be just fine. I took ibuprofen around 5 weeks before I found out I was pregnant and I'm now 26 weeks and baby is healthy. Hopefully you get relief from your pain soon, good luck!

My dog was not even seen by a vet in the er because she felt I did not need to see one. I came home and have been investigating ibuprofen and dogs. I have come to find out it is toxic to dogs. Should I take her to another er or is the amount she took small enough to not even worry about it??? Sorry if this posts twice, I am a new user and learning the ropes here.

There are no benefits doing that, just more adverse effects. In fact in Europe for uncomplicated utis ibuprofen 3-4 times a day is considered the only medication needed. Get well soon!

I have had the flu this past week and have been taking nyquil, ibuprofen, and alkazelter, I just found out that I am 5 weeks pregnant and I'm am hoping that this medicine I have been taking is NOT going to affect my baby?! No aspirin, no ibuprofen. Try to take the cheap version of Tylenol from the dollar store. Perfectly safe.

You said you took an 800 ibuprofen this morning. Isn't Advil another name for ibuprofen ? Check the ibuprofen box as to the daily amount recommended. I take Advil sometimes for a headache. I take 2 200 miligrams of Advil. 800 miligrams of ibuprofen sounds like a lot. What is a lortab by the way ?

About 3 weeks ago he was prescribed 800 mg Ibuprofen 3 x a day for an elbow inflamation. After taking the Ibuprofen for a while he began to have trouble with his eyes watering up to the point where his vision for driving and reading was becoming impaired. Spoke to his Dr. and got into a fight with him because the dr. wouldn't give him a straight answer about what the problem could be and began to speak to him condescendingly. He walked out without any answers.

I have either a severe sinus infection or mono(will know tomorrow), but the doctor prescribed me BP Poly 650 every 4 to 6 hours, corzall liquid every 4 to 6 hours, lidocaine every 3 hours, and promethazine 25mg at bed time, I broke out in a rash from my prior antibiotic and have to take 2 benadryl until it's gone, and I've been taking ibuprofen to relieve the swelling and help my fever.

Dear Doctor, my gf of 9 weeks pregnant took abortion med contianing mefipristone and misoprostal. First she took 2 mefipristone 200 mg each and after 24 hours took the misoprostol containing 4 tablets orally. As expected she had few cramps, pain and after 6 hours she passed out a huge fetus almost human baby which happened quite early than expected. Her stomach cramp and pain has subsided a little and she's taking ibuprofen for pain relief.

As for pain relievers, you can use excedrin, motrin (which helps with inflamation as well), Ibuprofen, any of those. Aleve is one of the best.

As you have to take the Doxy with food and drink a glass of water with it, you should be OK taking the Ibuprofen at the same time. Or stagger it, so that you take the Ibuprofen say an hour or two afterwards with food.
