I know the bottle I buy of infant tylenol or ibuprofen show recommended doses based on age and weight and of course frequency. Do not ever give more then she should get. I think many of us get overly comfortable because we think that over the counters can't cause to much trouble, but in fact they can be quite dangerous for our kids (and us). If you suspect you have given her too much and she has overdosed, you should call poison control, or have her seen at the ER right away.
My 2 year old son has problems with fevers, actually just posted a questions because we're at wits end.
Last month he had a fever of 106. Was out of it, lethargic and we took him to the emergency room. Both in the hospital and his doctors office they weren't worried. Younger kids have a hard time with controlling their body temperatures and tend to get high fevers but are able to recover easily.
Has anyone heard of any reactions to ibuprofen while pregnant?
Is it true you shouldn't take ibuprofen it can harm the baby? I just seen this today while doing research as to this is my first. i have been taking it before I found out I was thinking my period was coming and I've always had bad cramps so I know to start taking it before my period comes to help with the pain. Should I be worried that I've harmed the baby from taking it? I'm 5 weeks BTW.
I had a really bad headache yesterday and took 6 200mg ibuprofen tablets ( 2 every 4 hours 3 times) and then I found out today your not suppose to take ibuprofen. I'm really worried, will everything be okay?

Can Kidney pain be a side effect of taking Ibuprofen? I was taking ibuprofen last week consecutively for 3 days (400mg t.i.d) after laser eye surgery. A day or so after starting it I experienced mild pain/discomfort in my left flank that came in waves. When I stopped taking the ibuprofen the flank pain also stopped.
The next day I took one more dose - the flank pain started again within an hour, but was gone the next day.

9 months male baby (DOB:27 April 2010) had following problems in the same sequence
1. Very first time a drop of pus was observed flowing through his penis(24th November 2010).
2. Routine report showed 20-22 /hpf pus cells and protein trace.
3. Culture report showed 1,10,000 colony count with organism E Coli
4. Was treated with norflox (oral antibiotic) for 10 days 1/2 tablet twice a day 100 mg and tests were repeated
5. Routine report showed occasional pus cells.

That sounds terrible. I've had different types of headaches my whole life. I did have true migraines which were a real witch, I tell ya. I did a headache study at a clinic and found I had food sensitivity. Flavor substitutes, artificial sugar and fat free food is a trigger for me. I am careful about that now and do not have the migraines I did. My hormones can trigger a headache though. And I was in a car accident about 22 years ago. The years after that accident were headache prone.

All I had on hand was ibuprofen, so I took 10,000 mg. It wasn't a suicide attempt, but more of a way to satisfy my curiosity about suicide by OD. However, after doing a little research online, some people seem to think that 10,000 mg can be dangerous.
