I have a shoulder problem and used to be on strong pain killers, but my doctor told me to change to heat rubs!

Is it true you shouldn't take ibuprofen it can harm the baby? I just seen this today while doing research as to this is my first. i have been taking it before I found out I was thinking my period was coming and I've always had bad cramps so I know to start taking it before my period comes to help with the pain. Should I be worried that I've harmed the baby from taking it? I'm 5 weeks BTW.

The top of my left shoulder is quite painful to the touch. I've tried ibuprofen tablets and gel, also paracetamol and codeine tablets. I've previously had some worries about chest pain being angina although all tests for this are negative. The pain goes into my neck a bit when I press my shoulder, I'm fairly happy this pain is not heart related. But wonder what I can do to treat it.

Hi, I ended up inserting some of an alcohol-based gel into my urethra 3 days ago. I have been using Azo for the pain, which is helping some, but I am surprised at how little the symptoms are abating. Could it be that this will take a while to heal? Could this have caused some kind of permanent damage?

All I had on hand was ibuprofen, so I took 10,000 mg. It wasn't a suicide attempt, but more of a way to satisfy my curiosity about suicide by OD. the nurse said it was because the nerve ending were severed and to take 300 mg of ibuprofen every four hours. It seemed to work for awhile, but a month later my doctor told me I shouldn't be taking the ibuprofen because it would ruin my stomach. It is four months later and these same pains are back. My doctor doesn't seem to be concerned and keeps telling me I shouldn't be in pain and cuts me off. As it is my surgery was botched and my one nipple was almost a complete hole.

hello there, I have been frustrated over the past two weeks every doctor I go to tells me its just a twisted back muscle unknowingly, without them running any tests, advising me to take ibuprofen tablets and get a muscle relief gel. I done those both, but neither have an effect, the situation continues and the pain does not stop even with a pain killer., I have done my research but there's not exact answer.

whenever i carry any small weight like 2 or 3 kg i feel pressure and pain in sternum..Only ibuprofen gel (muscuskeleton pain relief) give me temporary relief.Sleeping at straight position also give relief from pain but i feel pain if i turn on sides.I cant wear tight cloth at the end of sternum.it increases pain.

You can try a pain relieving gel and heat regularly. Ibuprofen gel and a hot water bottle are my friends! Also try not to chew too much, have a mainly soft diet for a few days.

Monday i started having severe pain in my pain arms and legs some of my joints and i felt cramped all the time.So i bought the ibuprofen gel for pain and it did not work.The day after i started having chest pains and i could not breathe properly. I felt like i had hot flashes or a hot bubble in my chest.Yesterday i was feeling much better but i had a serious migraine.

I have a lot of back / spine issues. I take some pretty heavy medication, but as far as OTC meds go, I find Liquid Gel Advil helps me the most. A couple of things to keep in mind: Ibuprofen can damage your kidneys and acetaminophen (Tylenol) can damage your liver. Prescription meds like hydrocodone have acetaminophen in them. Good luck.

Sorry about your injury. Using ibuprofen gel or topical NSaids does not necessarily have to be covered. You can ask your doctor about that or the pharmacist where you frequent. A few points, remember to not mix with other nsaids, avoid touching your eyes, mouth or open wound, WASH YOUR HANDS after application, use only the amount the doctor has prescribed for you, don't shower or swim or wash the area for at least an hour after putting it on, and try to keep the area cool.

Ibuprofen and such tends to give me stomach pain and I've been On ibuprofen for years. Heat helps but just for the 30 sex or so the heat is applied. Other than that nothing.

Get some physiotherapy,it will help in cure.

I was told by my doctor that ibuprofen can cause internal bleeding.. I had to ask because ibuprofen is the only medicine that helped my toothaches. You should be fine, just be careful now and don't drink monsters and only take Tylenol..

Is it safe to take ibuprofen in the same day as Meloxicam? I take 15 mg of the Meloxicam in the morning for pain but need additional pain relief later in the day and I know that both drugs are NSAID so I don't want to accidentally overdose.

Get some aloe vera gel for the burn/blisters (pure aloe is best.) Also Tylenol or ibuprofen will help the pain a bit. Drink plenty of fluids. Orange juice is a good choice. I had a very bad burn once that caused me to be in the ER. They gave me IV fluids and told me about the ibuprofen and fluids. They specifically mentioned orange juice ... maybe for the potassium. t always easy doing it, would make my hips feel better the rest of the day,) ibuprofen, lidoderm patchs or a prescription gel, like the Voltaren gel. My joint pain generally responds to heat better than ice (though lately I've been having trouble with bursitis in both knees and ice seems to work best for that.)
