I have a shoulder problem and used to be on strong pain killers, but my doctor told me to change to heat rubs!

Ibuprofen and such tends to give me stomach pain and I've been On ibuprofen for years. Heat helps but just for the 30 sex or so the heat is applied. Other than that nothing.

So the day before I found out that I am 3 months prego I took like 4 Advil pills cause I was having cramps. But I didn't know... Will that effect my fetus?

about 5 days ago i was really drunk and I took about 7 ibuprofen 800 mg pills, about 3 days ago I ate some really spicy pork food and my stomach started hurting since. I have been vomiting and my stomach hurts a lot I feel bloated.

I had an emergency dental visit today for a tooth that is absessed (sp?) and my dentist gave me a prescription for vicodin..a very small script..24 pills. I did take the script but have NOT dropped it off at the pharmacy with the other two scripts he gave me. I am 20 days clean off vicodin and I know that there is no way in hell that I should fill it but my question is if I were to fill it and only take it for my tooth over a few day period would I go through w/d again???

The first one i found a week ago and i cut it and this is how i know it is a hard plastic outside and gel inside. They resemble a generic ibuprofen, they look exactly like the small round ones. I don't take any medications that look like this at all. Anyone have a clue what this could be?

The top of my left shoulder is quite painful to the touch. I've tried ibuprofen tablets and gel, also paracetamol and codeine tablets. I've previously had some worries about chest pain being angina although all tests for this are negative. The pain goes into my neck a bit when I press my shoulder, I'm fairly happy this pain is not heart related. But wonder what I can do to treat it.

I just had this happen to me this week, it's a horrible feeling. I took four pills at once and it was probably the gel cap that got stuck somewhere. Big mistake, take one pill at a time and drink water before, during the swallow and after. It's difficult to differentiate between something actually being stuck and a scratch in your throat that feels like something is stuck. So I proceeded to do experiments to see if the pills would actually dissolve in room-temperature water.

ask for ibuprofen 800 and it will help...use ice too. dont get the pills if you cant take a prescribed. you would be setting yourself up to fail. i am glad you recognize this sooner rather than later...

I was told by my doctor that ibuprofen can cause internal bleeding.. I had to ask because ibuprofen is the only medicine that helped my toothaches. You should be fine, just be careful now and don't drink monsters and only take Tylenol..

Hi, I ended up inserting some of an alcohol-based gel into my urethra 3 days ago. I have been using Azo for the pain, which is helping some, but I am surprised at how little the symptoms are abating. Could it be that this will take a while to heal? Could this have caused some kind of permanent damage?

I have been addicted to pain pills for many years now. I got myself off of hidrocodin and went to tramidol. I get them from Mexico, I started using tramidol to help me with my withdraws from the hidrocodin. It worked, but I have now created a new problem. I am taking 9 to 10 pills a day and I can't seem to stop. I am having trouble going number 2 dose anyone else seem to have these same issues when taing the tramidol/ultram? I am so scared.

Hi, I have a question. Sometimes I casually contemplate suicide--not very seriously, but more as a curiosity. Yesterday I decided to experiment with what it would be like to take a lot of pills. All I had on hand was ibuprofen, so I took 10,000 mg. It wasn't a suicide attempt, but more of a way to satisfy my curiosity about suicide by OD. However, after doing a little research online, some people seem to think that 10,000 mg can be dangerous.

Thank you for your comment-I did start taking ibuprofen 2 pills 4 times a day. I remember doing this the last time I had seen a doctor and this is what he advised. I read up on the blepharitis and I don't believe I have it because there is no itching or grittiness feeling in the eye either..I plan on seeing a doctor tomorrow if my eyes are still red.

just remember that this is only temporary. I know its super hard but just keep reminding yourself that you're giving yourself your life back! Make sure you're drinking plenty of water and ibuprofen may help if you're having any withdrawal pain. newchapter is soooo right, it will get better soon!

Ibuprofen will help some of the pain and will also help with inflammation. Voltaren gel is a prescription gel that is used on joints and will help take the edge off. Lidoderm patches, ice packs and heating packs may all help as well. Make an appointment with a rheumatologist to get started.

whenever i carry any small weight like 2 or 3 kg i feel pressure and pain in sternum..Only ibuprofen gel (muscuskeleton pain relief) give me temporary relief.Sleeping at straight position also give relief from pain but i feel pain if i turn on sides.I cant wear tight cloth at the end of sternum.it increases pain.

You can try a pain relieving gel and heat regularly. Ibuprofen gel and a hot water bottle are my friends! Also try not to chew too much, have a mainly soft diet for a few days.

Monday i started having severe pain in my pain arms and legs some of my joints and i felt cramped all the time.So i bought the ibuprofen gel for pain and it did not work.The day after i started having chest pains and i could not breathe properly. I have a lot of back / spine issues. I take some pretty heavy medication, but as far as OTC meds go, I find Liquid Gel Advil helps me the most. A couple of things to keep in mind: Ibuprofen can damage your kidneys and acetaminophen (Tylenol) can damage your liver. Prescription meds like hydrocodone have acetaminophen in them. Good luck.

Sorry about your injury. Using ibuprofen gel or topical NSaids does not necessarily have to be covered. You can ask your doctor about that or the pharmacist where you frequent. A few points, remember to not mix with other nsaids, avoid touching your eyes, mouth or open wound, WASH YOUR HANDS after application, use only the amount the doctor has prescribed for you, don't shower or swim or wash the area for at least an hour after putting it on, and try to keep the area cool.
