Can Kidney pain be a side effect of taking Ibuprofen? I was taking ibuprofen last week consecutively for 3 days (400mg t.i.d) after laser eye surgery. A day or so after starting it I experienced mild pain/discomfort in my left flank that came in waves. When I stopped taking the ibuprofen the flank pain also stopped. The next day I took one more dose - the flank pain started again within an hour, but was gone the next day.

There have been studies showing that ibuprofen use (or any NSAID for that matter) can increase.your risk for baby developing a congenital heart defect or having reapiratory/ cardiac issues at birth. If your Dr recommends it for you than I'd say its okay to take but I wouldn't unless your specific Dr tells you its okay.

nothing will be wrong with your baby i was taking it every day for 12 days i was taking nearly 1 pack every day because of the pain i know i wasnt meant to but the pain was so unbareable i just kept taking them. but try and not stress your baby will be fine.

Tylenol is the only safe pain medicine u can take while pregnant...I'm not totally for sure what would happen with the ibuprofin, but I wouldn't chance it!! That seems like a lot to take at one time!!?? I was given 800 mg to take after my c-sections!! You must really be suffering with some serious pain hun..talk with ur doc on what is safe for you to take!!

Hi, although drugs like ciprofloxacin 500mg twice daily is usually recommended for urinary tract infection, but one should go by urine culture sensitivity report. For pain associated with infection drugs like ibuprofen, diclofenac etc are prescribed as they have potent anti inflammatory action. Please follow doctor’s advice and avoid self medication.

whenever i take even one 550mg (naproxen) ibuprofen and then drink, my stomach gets tender and bloated and i feel bad. i usually take a maalox or something like that, yet i never throw up from it so i don't know if that's applicable for you. i think it is due to the ibuprofen, but if you're not used to eating spicy foods then it could have disagreed with you, not necessarily meaning food poisoning. you should never drink and take NSAIDs at the same time.

Cause of pelvic pain could be due to kidney stones, pelvic infections, urine infections, twisted ovarian cyst or rupture of ovarian cyst, appendicitis or any other referred pain due to other organ infections. Most of them may not show up on ultrasound. So get all these causes evaluated from a gynecologist to confirm the diagnosis.

I have been having headaches for a month, lower back and abdominal pain for two weeks. Along with these I have a nausea feeling. the lower back pains are unbearable. I don't have uti cause I know what that is and I am wondering what could it be. I took a 800 mg ibuprofen and it took the pain a little but not completely. To explain the pain better it feels like I am going into labor but I'm not pregnant. Does anyone know what it could be?

My GF was on UTI antibiotics at the time, and was tested for STDs 2 months ago (all clear). No pain, just a red spot with slight swelling and small cracks in the skin. It seems minor since there's no itch/burn/pain. But it has been there for 2 weeks. A few days after this appeared there was minor discharge from the crack in the skin. Next 2 days she ran to the bathroom several times but never actually vomitted. By Saturday pain in belly was so bad I took her to ER. They said she had a UTI and a little constipation. Started antibiotics. Monday took her to follow up with pediatrician, he re-ran urinalysis and it was clear. Put her on miralax too. Still in major pain. I have had a fever (that goes down w ibuprofen) it ranges from 99 and the highest was 103.7. I also have back pain on one side. Could a UTI have traveled to my kidney? NO! Dogs can't metabolize ibuprofen (advil). You can give him tylenol for a short time, but he will be much better off with an anti-inflammatory from your vet. I had two dogs that ended up with severe arthritis. The first took rimadyl daily for 5 of his 13.5 years due to hip displaysia. The last couple of years we switched to deramaxx when the symptoms got more severe. BIG difference with the deramaxx, but it's more expensive.

I have had horrible pain on my right side for overa week now. No doc seemed to take me serious until now. I had ultrasounds and no cyst but my insides wewere too swollen to find my appendix. The pain has spread to my back...same location just front and back now.
