ibuprofen

Avatar f tn I was erroneously diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel and Tendonitis that didn't go away for YEARS that was leading to atrophy before I was finally diagnosed with MS and found out it was spasticity. I am in PT now to relieve the spasming and strengthen the muscles. I am slowly but FINALLY getting some relief.
Avatar f tn No one can diagnose you from here but your doc or a physiotherapist or massage person can.
Avatar f tn There could be several causes. BURSITIS, ARTHRITIS, or Tendonitis. I would suggest IBUPROFEN. If this doesn't give relief consult a physician.
Avatar m tn Good day! I have been experiencing tennis elbow (tendonitis) in my right elbow for the last 6 months. It's due to weight training and heavy lifting. I've cut back on the weight but still have soreness (though not as bad.) I've tried ice a few times each day, a brace when I exercise and Advil yet I still have it. My health insurance plan at work ***** and I don't want to go see a doctor as I don't have the money. Any suggestions? Thanx!!!
Avatar f tn Please, please help! My son has had arm pain, below the shoulder, above the elbow for five months now. He has had 4 xrays, an MRI, and a bone scan, and they can not give me a diagnosis. Been to PT numerous times. They said he had little league shoulder, a broken shoulder, a large calcium deposit, nerve damage, he had a cortisone shot in his joint, (with no change), every time I take him they can not give me a diagnosis, then change what they think it is.
Avatar f tn Aleve is a catogory C and is not recommended to take during pregnancy. Please consult your doctor for what meds are safe for your condition.
Avatar n tn Hi, The causes of shoulder and arm pain are- frozen shoulder, muscle strain, Parsonage turner syndrome, peripheral neuropathy, shoulder bursitis, nerve compression or shoulder tendonitis. Please go for MRI of spine, and arm and consult a neurologist and orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
Avatar m tn Two weeks ago, I developed sudden soreness in the top of my left foot and less frequently in the front of my left ankle. The top of my foot is tender to the touch and sore just behind the toe joints on the tendons.. You can even feel some knotting/bumps on the tendon that runs to the toe next to the big toe. I didn't do anything that I know of to cause this.. It developed over the period of a day.
Avatar f tn I have a prescription for Celebrex for my knees due to OA and I am hesitant to take it for that reason. Having said that, ibuprofen is at the low end of the NSAIDS and would have less of an effect, although 1,800 mg a day is a good amount. You should ask you doctor this questions. Hope some of this helps, Good luck!
Avatar m tn Last August I discovered a bubble on my left knee cap and was told it was bursitis. That went away with Ibuprofen. For the past few months, I have had a bad burning feeling in my left knee. It is there most of the time when I am at rest or up walking around. I am a Pharmacy Technician so I do not do a lot of physical work. I do sit at a desk most of the time.I do not recall injuring it. I went to my local Prompt care this past weekend and the doctor said it is not bursitis.
Avatar n tn Is this tendonitis? How long will this last for? Should I go back to my doctor?
787406 tn?1339203183 I have had tendonitis in both shoulders for 6 years and have suffered greatly. I have had to have cortisone shots in both shoulders just to get the pain down to a manageable level. Last year my doctor happened to run a Vitamin D test on me a I was at an 8-not normal. He iniatially put me on a 50,000 IU dose and then tapered me to a 1000 IU a day. Within the first 2 weeks the pain and tendonitis was gone from my shoulders as documented by my orthopeadic doctor.
Avatar m tn The problem I have is that I have tried ibuprofen and aleve for the pain and neither one really helps much with the pain, and if I want to make it help I have to take way over the recommended dosage, which I know is not good. I am afraid it will end up giving me a heart attack if I keep taking large amounts of aleve and ibuprofen. I cannot afford to switch jobs because I will not be able to find a less physically demanding job with less walking, and still make the kind of money I do now.
888841 tn?1242516603 Certainly if this is a meniscus problem or tendonitis activity could make the conditions much more complicated and should be avoided for now. Please keep in touch with us. I will look forward to your updates with interest. And please make an appt to see your PCP. Don't ignore your symptoms. Pain is your body's way of informing you that something is wrong. It is a warning sign that should not be taken lightly.
Avatar f tn and though its rare for it to be strong (cant find a better word for it... too sleepy lol) it is common... I am already dreading my after pregnancy as i have already had 2 knee surgeries at 21 ... so i am wayyy more vulnerable to any kind of knee pain... but anyways back to my point... having had 2 surgeries i can tell u...
Avatar n tn Developed a lump on the collarbone after this happened. Went for x-rays, and was told it was spasmodic torticollis, calcification on tendon, Arthritis, Tendonitis. The pain is horrible, and its all in the left shoulder as the lump is located right in the same place. They did not see a dislocation, but the lump seems to be like something is dislocated. Nobody has answers.
Avatar f tn So now I'm on Levaquin for 3 weeks for a sinus infection. One of the side effects is tendonitis. I already have tendonits (both wrists) and everything has failed including physical therapy and steroid injections, i was referred to surgeon now as nothing has worked, have an appoint in November. 1090984 tn?1463769850 For the past 2 months I been having severe pain on the inside of my arm when it bends. I had my doc look at it a month ago and he said I hurt a tendon and recommended an arm band. The pain seemed to improve but now it's back and very painful, when when I bend my arm it hurts on the inside, when I sleep it hurts when I move it and when I wake up to stretch it. I have taken advil and vicodin without relief. I am tired of having my arm hurt!
1007423 tn?1251204456 From my shoulder down to my elbow and on to my wrist. Movement hurts and I gasp if I move my arm the wrong way or use it for much. I also get a sharp pain in my arm between my shoulder and my elbow. My husband thinks its tendonitis...but with all my other things, I don't know, does this sound familiar to anyone?
Avatar f tn Blood tests show nothing abnormal and xrays show nothing abnormal. It lasts for 3 weeks at a time and then goes away for 3-6 weeks. It is painful to go up stairs and bend the knees. Sometimes it is so bad it is painful all the time. I am 24 years old and do not run very often my exercise is mainly walking. There is very often and crunching and grinding sound from the knee, it feels like the pain is above or behind the knee cap. What could this be? Has anyone had similar experiences?
Avatar f tn Thanks for the reply. I have consulted my GP and had an Xray. The Xray looks good. I also take Ibuprofen when the pain is bad. The problem here is that in order to see a Specialist, I have to fly to Anchorage. ANd none of the doctors here really know what is going on. I can opt to have the plate taken out next March, which I will definitely do! Is it possible that one or several of the extensor tendons are rubbing on the plate, causing the pain?
676032 tn?1315674063 since then I have had bad shoulder pain. After getting two cortisone injections that have not helped my doctor has booked surgery for next month. I had an mri and the results showed tendonitis but also that the subacrominal bursa has no fluid in it... and that my humerous was low lying and some crystalisation too... My doc hasn't explained these results to me, so could someone please shed some light for me??
