Ibuprofen for panic attacks

Common Questions and Answers about Ibuprofen for panic attacks

ibuprofen

Avatar f tn ibuprofen would give me panic attacks WAY back in the day. And sure enough, after I would take an ibuprofen, I would get a panic attack. But I was DOING IT TO MYSELF. The subconscious mind is VERY powerful. Hang in there. Welcome to the forum. You're in the best place!!! :) Hopefully someone else will chime in and help too! But I would def. recommend making an appt. with a talk therapist. Good luck! Keep us posted.

461368 tn?1206516757 Aww I'm sorry to hear that. My prayers are with you. The thing is, the only reason they took her to the psych ward and not the reg ER is b/c she admitted to having suicidal thoughts, not just b/c of her panic attacks. She did the right thing by telling them the truth, but I just wanted to offer you some consolation that it is not just b/c of panic attacks. I have (had) panic attacks but that doesn't make me think suicidally, thank goodness.
607502 tn?1288247540 t take valium as my Dr refuses to prescribe them to me, this annoys me beyond belief as one of the biggest causes of panic attacks for me is socializing and has resulted in me not going out for meals or with friends :(
Avatar m tn Has anyone tried escitilopram ? How are the side effects?
Avatar m tn I am new to your forums and found it today while searching for help. My panic attacks have reached their peak over the past couple of weeks. I am now taking Zoloft 50mgs per day and have been for about 10 days. The dr says it will take a while to get into my system to begin working. Work has seemed to be my trigger as many things have changed over the past couple months and the stress level is at an all time high there.
Avatar m tn I know from experience the anxious state can last for months and panic attacks can happen daily. I went through a horrible period of anxiety and panic. I have since been treated with meds and therapy and I am much better! Hopefully, you feel better soon!
Avatar n tn I have been experiencing panic attacks on and off for the past three years. of course they always seem worse when moneys tight or issues come up in my life. when things are good, the panic attacks go away, petty much completely. I have the up and down swings like I could be bi polar, but alot of the other symptoms don't exist.
280234 tn?1532986249 Just recently I have developed panic attacks, so to speak. Whenever I get a little nervous about a situation, the nervousness can develop in to a panic attack. The last two times I've went to the doctor I started to get nervous (white coat syndrome) & my BP and heart rate skyrocketed. My BP was 153/112, pulse was 126.
Avatar f tn Then one month ago i got a bad sinus infection and went to a walkin clinic and the doc put me on a zpac, effexor for my panic attack. I was out of work for a whole week. I went back to the same clinic but another doc put me on xanax. They helped but as soon as the med wore off the panic was back. They told me then to try zoloft and xanax er. Which has not helped and i couldnt sleep.
4369618 tn?1353528920 Are you in therapy or are you prescribed anything for your anxiety? For me, counseling is what helped me confront and deal with the panic and anxiety. As with any challenge we face in life, I believe we tend to fear what we do not understand. And lets face it, we usually really don't know anything about anxiety when we first go through it. But as we learn about it, I believe that it becomes much less scary and we see it for what it is...anxiety.
Avatar f tn They can be used to control panic attacks......for what reason were they prescribed to you? If for panic attacks, and they're not controlling them, call your doctor and let him/her know. Take care.
Avatar n tn Hello I am a 19 year old college student. I have been suffering from anxiety and panic attacks for about a week now. It started off thinking I was going to die, then thinking god doesn't love me, now I had a panic attack thinking I have scizophrenia due to me researching why I keep feeling this way. Before I was a kid living the college life chasing girls, going out, staying up late enjoying life.
1979360 tn?1328143865 i've been experiencing panic attacks for the past year or so now. after they happen, i keep telling myself that it was no big deal and that i got through it just fine. but when they're going on, i feel like i am going to or about to die. i hate to say it, but i do not wish these on my worse enemy - if i even have one. are there any techniques that you all use to calm yourself down during one of these?

Avatar n tn He still suffers multiple BMs each day with extreme urgency and discomfort, which is almost debilitating for most regular jobs. He just shared with me today that he has been experiencing panic attacks almost daily for more than a month, particularly at night. It's amazing what a person with chronic disease can endure without mentioning it! Anyway, I feel at a loss! I don't know whether to call a therapist, or a GI, or what!
Avatar f tn , so I went to a doctor who told me I was having panic attacks and prescribed me Xanax 0.5 mg 4 times daily, and it is actually working. I was wondering if anyone thought that this was because of the XTC and if anyone else has had this happen. Thanks for listening.
Avatar m tn I forgot to mention to, that, ive probably only have 3 times that i can remember that ive had these panic attacks for than a day in a row, and it seemed to be when i was in school/college, and working. I dont experience these when im outside of work, only seems to be when im at work, or in a place where i dont have a quick escape? maybe i have a touch of agoraphobia, but that the stress i am going through triggers the panic attacks.
Avatar f tn Hi, I had a bad panic attack recently. I suddenly felt dizzy, I was shaking, sweating, crying and felt terrified. I couldn't control my mind and felt like my body wasn't my own. I've never been more afraid in my life. I've researched panic attacks on the internet and i realise that these are all common symptoms, but ever since i feel like ive got a knot in my stomach and i just want to relax but can't.
Avatar f tn I too used to get panic attacks, after my micro-preemie was born. I started driving to the hosp., which is 1 hour away to see my son in NICU. Well, I didn't make it too far, maybe 16-17 miles! I went dead stop in my car, parked in a parking lot, and sat there for a couple hours till my hubby came to pick me up. The only time I would get attacks is when I was driving! Which is bad! I couldn't control it nohow! Needless to say, I did NOT drive for 6-7 months.
Avatar n tn even though it was only for six months out of my life......was the cause of the panic attacks. My panic attacks did eventually go away for a number of years, but they are back again and worse now than ever before. My doctor recommended medicine which is horrible for me because the sensation reminds me of getting high and it scares the crap out of me.
10011789 tn?1409704061 Safe for you even while pregnant. I used to work for a psyciatrist and that is what he told me to do for panic attacks. BC I had them few and far between. It honestly works!
