Hi there, I am a certified personal trainer at a very well known gym. I have a B.S. in Wellness, Health Promotion, and Injury Prevention with a minor in Exercise Science. This happens especially with legs. It's called delayed onset muscle soreness or DOMS for short. The day following your leg workout, you will be sore. Two days after you've done legs, you will be even more sore. Three days out the pain will start to subside.

I am going on a big trip and need to be able to walk more so I increased my walking to about 3 miles for a week then 3 1/4 for a few days then 3 and 3 1/2 miles for a couple of days then 2 and 3/4 miles a couple of days then 4 for a couple of days. Then I woke up with a sore leg. I could hardly walk due to stiff thigh and a sore knot in the thigh. I took a day off and only did 2 miles it still hurt and just continued the 2 miles and it had been a week and it still hurts.

I'm having pain on the outside of my quads, which I only feel when i get up, or do certain exercises, like squats. The pain is similar to pain you get from a good workout, but its all of the time and is definitely been causing some weakness in my legs. I've been diagnosed with the following, but they say this is not the cause of the pain: L5/S1 disc bulge, a very mild and broad based disc bulge just barely touching the traversing S1 nerve root. Doctors do not seem to have any idea.

Is 3-6 200mg Ibuprofen a day for a 3-6 days a week bad for you over a long period of time?

Ibuprofen is bad for our livers. Try getting a massage if you can. Bromelian, a natural supplement made from pineapples helps reduce swelling but it takes time to work. Also, make sure you're drinking lots of water, and getting some exercise. Try some yoga too. Pot brownies worked the best for my back pain.

Has anyone heard of any reactions to ibuprofen while pregnant?

is it safe to take ibuprofen when pregnant? Just once? Ran out of tylenol.

ok I just read online that you are not suppose to take ibuprofen while you are pregnant again im 5 weeks i took total of seven not all together of course over say a period of maybe two days due to a severe toothache did i do something stupid is my baby going to be ok.

whenever i take even one 550mg (naproxen) ibuprofen and then drink, my stomach gets tender and bloated and i feel bad. i usually take a maalox or something like that, yet i never throw up from it so i don't know if that's applicable for you. i think it is due to the ibuprofen, but if you're not used to eating spicy foods then it could have disagreed with you, not necessarily meaning food poisoning. you should never drink and take NSAIDs at the same time.

My doctor said that ibuprofen is a big no no but then again it is only one time and many have taken it before knowing they were pregnant i am sure u and ur baby will be fine just try not to have it next time.

21 years old. Pregnant with second baby currently 11 weeks. Im currently taking Lovenox shots n my prenatal the passed 2 weeks have had headaches... Is it OK to take ibuprofen if I don't have tylenol available at the time.

I had a really bad headache yesterday and took 6 200mg ibuprofen tablets ( 2 every 4 hours 3 times) and then I found out today your not suppose to take ibuprofen. I'm really worried, will everything be okay?

Killer headaches, and never any Tylenol around. Ibuprofen can't be that bad huh? Got to go to work and this headache must go.

Is it true you shouldn't take ibuprofen it can harm the baby? I just seen this today while doing research as to this is my first. i have been taking it before I found out I was thinking my period was coming and I've always had bad cramps so I know to start taking it before my period comes to help with the pain. Should I be worried that I've harmed the baby from taking it? I'm 5 weeks BTW.
