1798517 tn?1315719581 hi i have been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis on both my feet for about a year and a halve now it started with my left foot and after about 6 or 7 month later i had it on my right foot in that time period i did a lot of stretching icing custom made orthotics foot taping (strapping) physiotherapy i had some of the known symptoms like painful feet after getting out of bed for about 2 or 3 minutes then the pain would go away.
Avatar n tn Sounds more like an acute strain, or partial tear, of the plantar fascia, rather than the classic chronic plantar fasciitis. This should respond to ice, stretching and rest. Try to waer a shoe with a good arch, even around the house and particularly when you get up in the morning. If the symptoms persist, there are night splints that can be utilized. In addition, platelet rich plasma injections have been very successful for the treatment of plantar fasciitis.
Avatar n tn I've been diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis and Heel Spur. My wife noticed the bone structure where my foot and ankle meet is larger than my left foot. Podiatrist feels ankle pain is attributed to compensation from the pain of the Plantar Fasciitis. I wear prescribed orthotics. The pain in the ankle area is horrendous when I'm working. With burning and sharp pain waves.
Avatar m tn What about walking? Sounds like plantar fasciitis of the top of the ole head. Give us more info.
Avatar f tn Oh gosh, I have had plantar fasciitis (terrible! such pain) and to be honest, didn't know they did surgery for it! I had it for 8 months. I had tried insoles for it but you know, I took those out and that helped me recover. Those were making it worse for me. Anyway, I broke up the little lumps (how I think of it) in my fascia of my heal against things like the edge of a step or by rolling on a tennis ball, and stretched like a mad woman. Got better shoes.
892668 tn?1241564990 This sounds like more than Plantar Fasciitis. I've never heard of Plantar Fasciitis pain on the top of the foot. Could be a nerve problem (Tarsal tunnel??) For Sandals -- purchase something from Finn Comort. They are expensive, but they last a long time. They have an excellant arch support in them. Make sure you get one with at least a 25 mm heel.
Avatar f tn Bursa pain where? Your hips? Is the achilles problem and, if it's the bursa sacs at the hips, in the same leg as the plantar fasciitis? Which came first? I ask because it could be your mechanics of movement are way off either due to one of these injuries or it's just off. I feel for you -- I had a lot of things go wrong all at once, a knee, lower back, and neck and arms, and ended up with a ton of PT.
20909564 tn?1624320701 Given my history of neuropathy, CRPS, tarsal tunnel syndrome, and plantar fasciitis, and considering that I myself have experienced with acupuncture what those grassroots people experienced with EMG, my question is as follows: For the sake of us patients who have accompanying neuropathy, CRPS, tarsal tunnel syndrome, and plantar fasciitis, it's crucial to know - have varicose vein procedures such as VNUS, Varithena, and Venaseal also accumulated negative testimonials, even if they're
Avatar f tn I've had plantar fasciitis for close to a year and recently, my lower back and knees have begun hurting. I went from 230 to 258 in less than a year, partially due to my fasciitis and subsequent lack of running and exercise. Could my knee pain be coming from PF or weight gain? Or a combination thereof? My lower back pain, could that also be caused by the two? I'm 5'8 and otherwise healthy 25 yr old.
Avatar f tn My knee x-ray states I have arthritis and my foot x-ray states I have bilateral plantar fasciitis. My questions are: 1) Does sacroiliitis always show in the x-ray? 2) Is sacroilitis fully curable? 3) Is plantar fasciitis connected with spondyloarthritis?
Avatar f tn This sounds like plantar fasciitis or heel spurs but you need to see your doctor or podiatrist to be sure. Treatment isn't complicated but it is important to get started before the pain increases or becomes resistant to treatment. People with MS can be susceptible to plantar fasciitis if they have tight calf muscles from spasticity but people that don't have MS certainly experience it as well.
566175 tn?1278430472 I have self diagnoses plantar fasciitis in both my feet... And I am trying to concieve so I haven't gone to the dr. yet. (Afraid they will advise surgery or even xrays, etc. )Any ideas on what i can do to repair my feet? Please help the pain is terrible, especially when i get out of bed in the morning!! Also, if i do go to the dr -- should i go to a foot dr. or an orthopedic dr?
Avatar m tn I proceeded to the doctors then onto the emergency department who diagnosed me with cellulitis in my foot even after i ran them through my history with plantar fasciitis. He precribed anti biotics and sent me off. The pain was very uncomfortable enough for me to not be able to work for the week. After the week of anti-biotics, the pain has improved slightly, foot was still going reddish/purple. So i had a checkup with my doctor again as well as a podiatris who thought it was a DVT.
Avatar f tn I went to doctors and they took xrays and said I do have bone spurs and he thought the pain was plantar fasciitis. On the side of my feet? Huts mostly when it is touching something and wearing shoes. Will this go away in time? Would a cortisone shot help?
Avatar n tn I have had plantar fasciitis in both my feet and had cortisone injections in the soles of my feet so I could walk. It actually got so bad that I was almost crawling. Now that the plantar fasciitis is under control again, I am back at the gym. I want to do lots at the gym but can only manage 15 minutes on the bike or cross trainer. By that time, the soles of my feet are burning so badly that I'm near tears. I have properly fitted trainers and cotton socks.
Avatar f tn If the pain is close to the heel, and it is worse in the morning, then it is likely plantar fasciitis. The pain from plantar fasciitis usually diminishes as you walk on it. (at least at firsts) You could also be describing symptoms of neuropathy (are you diabetic?) The pins & needle description tends to indicate a possibility of diabetic neuropathy. If you have flat feet, then you may have posterior tibial tendon disfunction.
Avatar n tn and he told me that i had Plantar Fasciitis. It causes pain and inflammation of a thick band of tissue, called the plantar fascia, that runs across the bottom of your foot and connects your heel bone to your toes. Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain. Plantar fasciitis commonly causes stabbing pain that usually occurs with your very first steps in the morning.
Avatar f tn sounds like plantar fasciitis. go to footscript.com...it is a great website which can tell you how to treat plantar fasciitis. supportive shoes, calf stretches, and icing can do wonders.
Avatar m tn My friend have heel spurs (kinda Plantar Fasciitis) on both feet for a month now.The left foot is healing on its own but the right is still uncomfortable. especially bothersome while and after running. He went to seen 3 surgeons and everyone suggested different remedies to get rid off. As he used to run for jogging so he asked surgeon to shoes for plantar fasciitis and heel spurs as he doesn't want to stop running.
Avatar f tn i've got Plantar Fasciitis also and had surger on left foot and symtoms in right foot, oh boy what a mistake having the surgery the after effects has been going on since early Dec 09 with a couple more injection to break up scare tissue. for my right foot i did stretching excerizes several times aday to my calf and actually i don't have much issues with it anymore.
Avatar f tn First diagnose was Plantar Fasciitis and I was treated with injections and a walker boot and also PT. Six months later I was diagnosed with fractures in both heels and have been in two casts, crutches and another walking boot. I am still in pain! I just had an MRI that shows Marrow Edema in four bones of my foot. What does this mean? I do not see the Dr. again for two weeks! I can't be on my feet for any length of time with suffering excruciating pain!
Avatar f tn Hi, most frequently heel pain is not the result of any single injury, such as a fall or twist, but rather the result of repetitive or excessive heel pounding. There could be some important causes like Plantar fasciitis which is inflammation of the thick connective tissue on the sole of your foot that attaches to your heel. The pain is usually felt at the bottom of your heel and is often worse in the morning because of stiffness that occurs overnight.
203342 tn?1328737207 The diagnosis of plantar fasciitis is based mainly on the medical history and clinical presentation of the patient. Other causes of heel pain are heel spurs(is most commonly seen in patients who have long standing heel pain due to plantar fasciitis.
