well it started 3-4days ago, I started to have real bad pain in the back of my neck. And when im on the couch I lay back I get a bad pain in my right shoulder and neck, and a headache starts to form. When i press on my neck/spine I get a severe throbbing headache and the top of my spine when i press it, something goes in and out. I don't know what I did and the pain won't go away. I tried ibuprofen, I tried a muscle relaxer and the pain didn't go away.

I use ibuprofen and doc says it fine till in in my third trimester but diffrent docs say alot diffrent but i have tumors in my head so i need it and my baby id healthy

The only thing I am aware of is Ibuprofen 800 mg every 6 to 8 hours. I am not a doctor, just a patient.

Pay attention to your sleeping position. Try ibuprofen. Get a friend to massage your neck, looking for knots to press. Go to YouTube looking for exercises for neck pain. Get referred to a physical therapist if this doesn't resolve.

Hurts a lot when I move my neck a little especially when I move it to the left side. I have applied some relief cream and sprays. They are effective for some hours then they wear off. And the pain has now spread to my ears. More in the right than in left ear. And the only way I can kinda sleep is on my back and not moving at all.

Also, it might help to mention that when I am not taking Ibuprofen, I am also experiencing eye pain. It is a general throbbing pain that I can only compare to what I have felt during a migraine. So, this started several months ago, under the glans, neck of glans, there is a line of probably 4-5 small circular spots, probably an inch all together, each one VERY small that are whitish in color and are very hard to see. It gives you exercises you can do. I started doing them my condition improved a lot. I still have problems but getting better. You should give it a try.

Anyone have any new ideas that will help for the head and neck pain we go through? I have tried vicodin, gabapentin, nortryptyline (sp), and a myriad of over the counter stuff, like Alleve, Tylenol, etc. I'm just not getting much relief at all!!!! Thanks!

I wanted to update that I recently have had problems with pain in my right shoulder, received two shots. And a prescription of 800 mg ibuprofen. which has done nothing for the pain. the dr. then decided to try me on a 30 day pack of Mobic. which is a arthritis medication. I do have that in my neck. it was after 10 days of taking this stuff that I noticed this strange bluish , purple an bleeding under neath each of my large toes. its very very strange.

ve previously had some worries about chest pain being angina although all tests for this are negative. The pain goes into my neck a bit when I press my shoulder, I'm fairly happy this pain is not heart related. But wonder what I can do to treat it.

I do take Flexaril and Percacet when the pain gets really bad and the spasms get out of control but when I can, I take ibuprofen and lightly massage in Arnica Cream. If I can catch it early enough, sometimes this is enough. I know how painful this is and my heart goes out to you.

t go to sleep till around 4am. On Sunday it started around 5/6 pm and I put on a ICY HOT pain relieving cream, and honestly it didn't help at all. I took tylenol pm to fall asleep, I fell asleep around 12am. On Monday I fell asleep around 11pm and didn't feel a thing. Today is Tuesday and the pain came back around 11pm right before going to bed.

I tripped on the sidewalk while running four days ago and fell hard on my knees, hands and the right side of my face. My lingering pain is behind my left ear down the left side of my neck.
