ibuprofen cream buy

I have an itchy rash on my butt. He said it was dermatitis. He prescribed an Ibuprofen piconol cream (a Japanese brand that is that). He said to buy gauze from a chemist and to use a gauze to put it on. He did it once and it stayed but the one that I bought and daubed the cream doesn't stay. Falls off very quickly. The question is does using a gauze matter medically( it might be to just protect clothes) for applying this cream? I am putting in on by hand now.

Am I suppose to get the body parts damp before adding the cream? The directions do not say anything about water.

Its not neccsary to buy all that u see displayed or advertised...clothes diapers whipes cream socks hats swaddle blankets bottles formula pacifiers a swing maybe a bouncer a crib maybe a bassinet carseat infant and a really good toddler seat ( ull have it for a while) stroller and diaperbag.
