ibuprofen and immunizations

The last shot he was sick for 10 days, 3 visits to the dr and 2 er visits and they would only say it is the flu and we have to run the course. Enough was enough and we went to a Childrens Hospital. It was an hour away and by the time we got there the baby had a 105 temp and after tests, and xray he was diagnosed with a lung infection. Put on an iv antibiotic and fever meds his temp broke and baby is sooooo much better.

It's a touchy subject.. But, our first son we got him vaccinated and he didn't get sick if he did it was mild and don't remember. Our second I read up on them and researched a lot. I found interesting things I didn't like so we decided we won't have our 2nd vaccinated. He has been sick a lot this past year. We are now getting him vaccinated because of schooling.

Hi Doctor. For whatever reason, I seem to be having concerns regarding my son and trying to protect him. I'd like to blame it on being post-partum, but it's a year later....so I am sure its just severe first time mom syndrome. My son got his vaccinations today (1 year) and the nurse did not put on any gloves. She did use purell before hand.

My daughter was born with TGA, ASD, VSD and PS. She is now nine months old and had the Rastelli about a month ago. Her surgery had to be done early because of immunizations causing her B-T shunt to clot. My question is, how to go about getting children with congenital heart defects immunizations seperated and given over a length of time, not all at once. Are there any known effects of various immunizations on the HIV antibody tests? I am in the military and have had an onslaught of immunizations in the past year to include HepA, HepB, Influenza, IPV, Meningococcal, H1N1, PPD, and TDAP. They don't hold back on us these days. Just wondering if anyone has seen any studies involving any of these immunizations and HIV testing.

i saw a show yesterday about narcolepsy and they mentioned a vaccination was given to a 13 year old girl and 2 hours later she was experiencing cataplexly (a paralyzing catatonic state that is a symptom of narcolepsy) but they did not say which vaccination.

2 yrs ago. What conditions (and symptoms) could she be at risk for and should I take her to the Dr.?

Hi and welcome to the MS forum -your friends are lucky that you are interested in learning more about this MySterious disease. As for the link between immunizations and MS, I believe this has been researched repeatedly and it has been found there is no connection. I'm with you in wanting to find the cause of MS but don't believe that vaccines fit in the big picture. FYI - I was dx'd with MS a good 40+ years after my last immunization shot.

Eventually the child is going to be around people that dont have all their immunizations. And if you breastfeed the baby gets most of the "immunizations" you have. How long do you plan on keeping people away for? And most people dont know what immunizations they do have.

For some time now, there has been so much in the press about immunizations and links to Autism, etc. What is everyone's thoughts on this subject? I'm sure that those of you who are currently TTC and those that already have children will have strong feelings one way or the other on this topic, so I would appreciate everyone's input.

My son loved babbling since around 6 weeks when I read to him he would talk the entire time. By the time he was 3 aside from the ma and da he would say hi and repeat it any time you said it to him. By 3 1/2 months he would say all for fall and said el.punt (elephant) 2X, and would repeat random words you said to him. we took him in for his 4 month shots and the constant talking stopped he stopped repeating hi and no longer babbled..

Our kids are all in private school (where I teach) and are allowed to exempt out of immunizations. In CO you can do that anyway. But many of our friends dont immunize and Ive noticed lately that they are always sick....same families. While others, like us, who kind of spread them out or pick and choose the shot, seem to get over things much faster. Just a weird observation.

Hi I have a massive period ache , therefore I took 1100 mg of ibuprofen . At first I had taken 500 mg tablet but it's been an hour and a half and it did not help , so I took an other tablet of ibuprofen of 600 mg . The pain is gone but I feel very tired , can I be harmed or die out of it ? Should I ask for help ? Or has anybody been familiar with it ? Please help me , I am a hypochondriac person and I also have OCD and use Prozac .

I took tylenol this morning. I took Ibuprofen an hour ago . I coudnnt take it anymore. It was a one time thing and i feel so much better. Will my baby be okay?

whenever i take even one 550mg (naproxen) ibuprofen and then drink, my stomach gets tender and bloated and i feel bad. i usually take a maalox or something like that, yet i never throw up from it so i don't know if that's applicable for you. i think it is due to the ibuprofen, but if you're not used to eating spicy foods then it could have disagreed with you, not necessarily meaning food poisoning. you should never drink and take NSAIDs at the same time.

Ibuprofen is bad for our livers. Try getting a massage if you can. Bromelian, a natural supplement made from pineapples helps reduce swelling but it takes time to work. Also, make sure you're drinking lots of water, and getting some exercise. Try some yoga too. Pot brownies worked the best for my back pain.

I have a infected broke off wisdom tooth during my last pregnancy my face swelled up and I was out of Tylenol so I took a 800 mg ibuprofen. Bad call for me but I was in pain and it was only once and everything turned out fine with baby so I was lucky.

Can Ibuprofen cause dizziness, ear pain, stuffiness, and feelings of passing out if taken several times a week?

Killer headaches, and never any Tylenol around. Ibuprofen can't be that bad huh? Got to go to work and this headache must go.

My o b told me it causes miscarriage in early trimester and second trimester and harms the baby in the third I would stay away

Ibuprofen is never allowed.. Tylenol is only option and now that im in third trimester the pharmacy told me that doctors dont even want us taking that.

I had a really bad headache yesterday and took 6 200mg ibuprofen tablets ( 2 every 4 hours 3 times) and then I found out today your not suppose to take ibuprofen. I'm really worried, will everything be okay?

Is 3-6 200mg Ibuprofen a day for a 3-6 days a week bad for you over a long period of time?
