hysterectomy

Avatar n tn hey, im 27 and got really sick 2 years ago and they had to do an emerg total hysterectomy, which has left me with the same problem as you, im takin 2 lots of hormones but find it very hard to cope with the hot flushes all the time so there for most of the time now i go round with a cold wet flannel on my neck, not a good look but it helps a little.
Avatar m tn I'm a 50 year old yoga teacher and flight attendant and am due to have a Sacrocolpopoxy on 30th Dec. I had a vaginal hysterectomy at 37. I have come to terms with my operation but am really concerned about future yoga practice. At present I suffer no symptoms teaching and practising( probably due to constant attention to core and mindful movement) however do suffer symptoms when I fly and have been on my feet all day.
Avatar f tn I had 2 surgeries 2 years ago, and the last was a horizontal cut hysterectomy. My muscles in my stomach are still not mended, and my colon was scarred during one surgery. So, I cannot enjoy my usual presurgery workouts. I was in the military for 11 years, so having this new pouch in my stomach is new for me. I'm already a vegetarian, don't eat sugar often, but I cannot get the weight off. As a matter of fact, it goes up and down all of the time. Has anyone else been in this situation?
Avatar f tn I am sorry you are suffering from both PCOS and endo that is leading you to hysterectomy. I assume you already know that hysterectomy is not a cure for the insulin resistance of PCOS or for endo. Some women do get relief, either temporary or permanent, but some don't (I don't know the percentages). I had a hysterectomy 9 years ago at age 49 - absolutely the WORST thing that has ever happened to me but I did not have a chronic pain condition.
Avatar f tn Hi. I am having laparoscopic hysterectomy with ovary removel.(Brca gene) I have a one year old baby. I was told I can't pick up anything over 10pounds. No yoga or anything either . For 4 weeeks. Wow is this really true?? Is there a procedure with better post op recovery?
Avatar f tn I am 48, have had a hysterectomy at 27 due to cervical cancer, then lost right ovary at 29 due to a hernia. I have been in a relationship with my boyfriend for two years and have no sex drive anymore. I love my boyfriend very much but this is killing our relationship. What can I do?
Avatar f tn I had hysterectomy two years ago, all was taken except for my ovaries. I always had slight bouts of anxiety and feelings of depression but nothing I could not fight off until recently my daughter broke up with her boyfriend I really liked for her and between that and issues with my husband I have been crying for two days. I dont want to get out of bed and i feel like i am going nuts. Could this all just be my hormones? I cannot believe this is happening.
Avatar f tn Im 34+2 is it okay for me to be doing yoga ? My babies prefectly healthy and i am to, does anyone know ?

Avatar f tn Is beginner yoga safe while pregnant? Or would I have to do yoga for pregnant women?
Avatar f tn im tring yoga, but after a couple days i am ready to quit from the pain. does it get better or should i quit.
Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.
Avatar f tn Thanks! Do you all take regular yoga or prenatal ? I already joined a gym and they have yoga classes a few days a week but not prenatal yoga.
Avatar n tn i want to ask that if yoga therapy is the best way of losing weight.
Avatar n tn Hello, I am 49 and am very active---run, lift weights, ride bike, yoga every day. I have always been active and eat healthy. I went to the doctor for dizziness, headaches, weakness, nausea, hot flashes. He did blood work and found all my other levels normal except my FSH. He said it is just menopause and to exercise. I had a hysterectomy 10 years ago due to polps and have cysts on my ovaries now. What else if anything can I do to feel better?
1282925 tn?1286412039 Oh since you have the Wii Fit, you might be able to do some of the yoga exercises; just don't get too vigorous with it or try to do "deep" stretches, etc. Use your best judgment and remember: it's always best to err on the side of caution.
Avatar n tn I had a hysterectomy with removal of both tubes and ovaries 7 months ago. It was done laparoscopically/vaginally. 2 weeks postop I hemorrhaged due to a pelvic hematoma and was rehospitalized. That pain was incredible. Since then, I have had shooting pain down the low back, buttocks and down both legs; sometimes causing my right leg to buckle. At times, the pain will shoot up into my right side and arm even with stretching or leaning forward.
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed with HPV about a year and half ago. It developed into Cervical Cancer of grade 1B1. I had to have a Radical Hysterectomy back in December of last year. It's now a year later, and I went for a routine followup PAP Smear. The PAP Smear showed that I still have the HPV virus, but it hasn't developed into any form of Dysplasia in my remaining tissue. I was told that I should try to keep myself healthy, so that the chances of elimating the HPV virus would be better.
Avatar m tn Its been two months since I had a full hysterectomy and I am still bloated and having pain and discomfort in the upper part of my abdomen just below the belly button. Its worse at night even when I havent eaten much...please has anyone got advice on this matter??? I am a flight attendant and worried if I go back to work to early i may have more issues...!!!
1900462 tn?1352775302 When did you guys start your prenatal yoga classes? Is it better to start your yoga as soon as you can so you can strengthen your pelvic muscles for labor later on or what? I was thinking it would be better to do it earlier and continue throughout the pregnancy but idk. What do you guys think?
Avatar f tn So I'm 30 weeks pregnant and have to find a new way to exercise. I I've in Wisconsin and the wind shield is already below ten. So it's too cold for me to be going on daily walks. Would yoga be a good alternative? Or what can I do as an alternative so I'm still getting my exercise.
10033740 tn?1458081962 I just recently heard about pregnancy yoga. I'm thinking about buying a couple DVDs so that I can do this at home. I'm currently a stay at home mom, 12wks + 3, with my second child after 9yrs. I just wanna stay active and also fit for labor. Anybody try it before?
Avatar f tn Has anyone had success with the yoga ball or exercise ball on inducing labor ?
Avatar f tn I just want my waters to break! So anyway i got a yoga ball, it gave me intence pressure on my pubic bone after about 30 mins of using it so i stopped. Is this meant to happen or??
