Avatar f tn t sure if that was it. So I came to the conclusion that I wanted to have a hysterectomy and have hormone replacement. So many women said they were soooooo much better after that, no more anxiety or panic attacks. Well it's been four months and I still feel like a freak.. I am taking estrogen right now and i feel like I am getting more out of touch with reality.. I feel like I'm in a cartoon. Everything looks fake.
Avatar m tn I had a full abdo hysterectomy 1 yr ago .

There is a video of the entire procedure on u=tube its very graphic do not watch it if your squimish. Also If you decide to do this procedure how well do you trust your current dr? find a good one best recomedations is word of mouth ask around , before any surgery always get two to three opinions.
2216055 tn?1349382305 Im 18w2d and I just watched a damn birthing video which I think I should not have done. I feel traumatized and scared as hell to give birth now.
Avatar n tn It does sound like it would be the best solution. I can see what the doctor means. If they leave the ovaries, at least you wouldn't experience surgical menopause, which can be a bit brutal. But you would say goodbye to your womb. How do you feel about that? It might be a good idea, for the sake of your general health. Fibroids naturally shrink after menopause, and often cause no more trouble, but with the kidney involvement, I would say it's best to have the surgery.
Avatar n tn mainly to keep the hot flashes somewhat at bay. Recently I have experienced terrible night sweats, worse than ever before, but they seem different than the hot flashes that drive me to get a hormone shot. Is this just symtomatic of regular menopause? After a shot, the hot flashes go away, and the night sweats used to, but now the night sweats stay with me...
Avatar f tn Hello, I am 47 yr/old, recently diagnosed with fibroid tumor, ovarian cyst, enlarged uterus with borderline endometrial stripe 12mm. My GYN recommended partial hysterectomy. I have Hypertension, Anemia. I am scheduled for a colonoscopy on 3/12. I will have my consultation 2/25 to decide on the next step. What about endo-biopsy?

967168 tn?1477584489 Anyone know who Kris Allen from American Idol? We saw his new video yesterday http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/realityrocks/293024/watch-like-youre-dying-kris-allens-video-premieres/ Personally thought it was great and so different than many of the other AI people; an in your face approach to live each day like it were your last. I had to listen to it a few times to get all the words, but what a message. Have you seen it or heard the song? what do you think...good, bad, otherwise?
237053 tn?1258828426 I wish more could be done. I just pray that treatment with antibiotics stops the misery in its tracks so one can live life again. I wish everyone healing from this disease. I have been down lately because now my 16 yr old son has tested positive by cdc on the Igm igenex and positive on the Igg by igenex standerds. It took another md to start treatment right away as he is falling into the chronic stage.
Avatar n tn i just recently within the past week had a partial hysterectomy with one ovary and uterus remove. I am having hot flashes and chills along with night sweats.
Avatar f tn I'm sorry, this will probably be a long read, but it's much appreciated if you give your time to read it. I'm seventeen and would like to have a hysterectomy. It seems to be frowned upon to want to make this kind of decision at this age but hear me out, please. I started getting my menstrual cycle at nine years old, which is normal and everything was fine for the first year. I had very short and light cycles, but gradually, things got a lot worse.
Avatar f tn Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum. I do believe that The Chiari Insitute has a video on this proceedure and others..... I have not watched it as I am the type that does not want to see that until after and maybe not even then...I have a sensitive stomach.....
Avatar f tn I am still in pain, during intercourse, as well as everyday cramping, and lower back pain. I talked to doctor and she suggested an abdominal hysterectomy. Should I do this? Will it really help?? I have tried lupron, and had two laprascopies with removal of adhesions as well as countless chocolate cysts. Was told by fertility specialist after last lap that tubes are completly blocked as well as being tangled with my bowels.
1043568 tn?1253450188 Having a hysterectomy is a huge decision and should not be taken lightly. You will have to live with this the rest of your life and you will go into surgical menopause. I just don't see where you would need to have a radical hysterectomy. Please get a second opinion, and maybe even a third opinion. Keep us up to date on how your doing and take care.
Avatar m tn I had a hysterectomy at age 45 due to a benign tumor on my left ovary as well and fibroids. This was done in October 2011. The surgery did provide pain relief from the painful periods, and constant fibroids, but 9 days after my surgery I started with a major depression that has not gone away. After having my bloodwork taken, my thyroid was hypo active and that was corrected.
Avatar n tn How long you stay in hospital depends on where you live, insurance, and your doctor. I live in Canada and I was in for 5 days but I have heard of others in for as little as 2. Did you have open surgery for your hysterectomy? The recovery time is very similar. I found a lot of pain for the first 2.5 weeks. Hugging a pillow really helped and very important to stay on top of your pain meds. My pain started reducing then and felt much better by the 4 week mark.
