And was dx w/ uterus didelphys..BUT the doctor said my pain and frequent infections is NOT related to my dx...is it possible to have a malformed urinary tract since I have a malformed reproductive system??? are they related..I observed that my problems started after giving birth 4 years ago..I hope some can help me..! Avatar n tn i have uterus didelphys and i had 3 babies that were born premature my first was born at 35 weeks the second at 30 weeks and my baby girl at 36 weeks and they all were born by c-section i think c -section is safer that vaginal birth for a woman with uterus didelphys
Avatar n tn about 13 yrs ago I was diagnosed with a didelphys uterus. I just went to a specialist who ordered an MRI and just found out that I do not have the DU I instead have a septum with 2 cervix. I am waiting to see a specialist. I was wondering if anyone has this condition, I am worried about miscarriages. I have been forwarned about miscarriages and a septum. Also if I am now pregnant can the septum be removed at this time might be about 2 weeks (just a feeling).
Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed with uterus didelphys and my doctor told me to carry on with the pill as usual as it will cover both uterus' from pregnancy. However (and I have never had this problem before) I was taking the pill (yasmin) for only a week or so after my last period when I started bleeding again. It had been like a normal period so far and has lasted for nearly two weeks. I have no Idea what's causing this as I usually have regular periods despite the UD.
Avatar f tn I have i have 2 uteruses and 2 cervixes is called uterus didelphys i never had any problems growing up and she is not going to have 2 periods every month .i had 3 children that were born premature thank GOD they are fine You have to talk to your doctor about a scan because a lot of women with this condition have problems with their kidneys some times they are born with one kidney.
Avatar f tn Hey :) I was diagnosed with uterus didelphys ,so I have two cervixes and a septum which has to be removed in march, Because I wont be able to have a virginal birth otherwize which i would like. I was just wondering if anyone with uterus didelphys has had trouble conceiving? And how your pregnancies’ went and births?
Avatar f tn Has anyone heard of a women becoming pregnant through in vitro with a uterus that is not attached or does not "communicate" to the vagina? I was diagnosed with vaginal agensis or MRKH but recently learned that I do have a normal size uterus, displaced - not in normal spot. I'm hoping for IVF, but can't locate any information or research.
Avatar f tn I have something similiar a didelphys uterus. Im at 28 weeks and feel like he is running out of room. His head is already all the way down.
Avatar f tn http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uterus_didelphys ). Once you are pregnant, you do not ovulate until you give birth and the cirvix closes & seals, so even if you did ovulate, sperm could not travel into the womb to fertilize the egg. Sex is perfectly safe during pregnancy unless you have complications and your doctor tells you otherwise. I hope this was helpful-instead of condicending.
Avatar f tn Two endometriums sounds like a uterine duplication anomaly, such as septate, bicornuate, or didelphys uterus, just to name a few. If further characterization is desired, MRI pelvis would be a reasonable next step but this is a conversation you need to have with your doctor. MRI could also be helpful ruling out adenomyosis, which can present with an enlarged uterus with painful, heavy periods.
Avatar f tn I am 25 years old and when I was 18 I found out I have Uterus Didelphys (or double uterus) and a double cervix. I was very freaked out. I didn’t understand it and I was incredibly embarrassed about it as well. I am absolutely fine with it now and I am proud to be different. Last year my husband and I decided we wanted to start trying to get pregnant. I went to the doctor and had my normal pap exam and I wanted to get as much information about my “situation” down there as possible.
9889855 tn?1412479178 I have uterine didelphys and was wondering if anyone else does? Or if they know of people who have had children with it.
Avatar f tn If so, then you should see your gynecologist for a complete exam.Your uterus may be prolapsed (most likely scenario), causing the cervix to droop into the vaginal barrel. Dr.
897990 tn?1248268956 Why on earth does she seem to think she needs a hysterectomy? I had a prolapsed uterus and gave birth to three healthy boys all a prolapse means is the uterus leans in the backwards position, techincally suposed to make it harder to concieve but not so with many many I know...why does she need a C section..all my babies wher vaginal births, just trying to understand...the C section may be needed for a host of reasons..
Avatar n tn I have a fibroid about the size of a grapefruit on my uterus and at least 2 smaller ones. My doctor was going to try the procedure wherein they go in and cut off the blood supply to the fibroid when she thought it was just one. Now that she has learned through an ultrasound that there are multiple fibroids, she said that procedure is not an option as it would basically cut off the blood supply to the uterus if they did that for each fibroid.
Avatar m tn Why would a doctor during a hysterectomy take out the uterus through the rectum?
Avatar m tn I have Adenomyosis, its when the lining of the uterus grows into the muscle of the uterus, the doctor decribes it as like a uturus inside a uterus, or a hot piece of coal irritaing my uterus! I bleed heavily and am in constant pain! I have to have abdominal surgery as my uterus is to enlarged to take it away by any other means.
Avatar n tn No you cannot get pregnant after a hysterectomy. You have to have a uterus to carry a baby and a hysterectomy removes the uterus. There are other pricedures that remove just the ovaries that you can get pregnant after but not a hysterectomy.
Avatar m tn I was under the impression that if you had a hysterectomy that you did not have your uterus. When I had my hysterectomy done, the dr took the works. I'm talking about everything, the fallopian tubes, ovaries, cervix, uterus. Not that I miss any of them. I don't have periods, which means no pms! WooHoo!
Avatar m tn Normally a partial hysterectomy is removing the uterus but leaving the ovaries for hormonal purposes. There is no way someone without a uterus could get pregnant. But have her check with her doctor.
Avatar n tn Clysta if they dont take the uterus it is not a hysterectomy. A hysterectomty is removing the uterus. An oopherectomy is removing the ovaries and fallopian tubes. So no she can't get pregnant after a hysterectomy.
8933082 tn?1402473412 I also have a tumor on the 2nd side of my uterus and will probably have to have a hysterectomy in the next few years. Not many people in my family made it past 30 without having to have one and I'm already 27. Just not sure how to feel about things. I want to be excited but I'm scared to get my hopes up, just to lose this baby.
Avatar f tn I have had a tubal and a partial hysterectomy done (both 9 years ago). I was also told at one time I may have a double uterus. Now, my question is, if I DO have a double uterus, could I concieve and carry to term? I ask, because I am having signs of being pregnant and while the brain in me is certain I cannot possibly be pregnant, lol, the heart of me wants the chance again. Sensitivity, swelling of the breast, nausea, and I swear it feels like I am having Braxton Hicks( spelling?) contracts.
