I had a total hysterectomy in Jan. I weighed 140! It's now Sept and Im 40 pounds heavier! Help I feel disgusting and the weight is all in my tummy! Are there any medical treatments to help me lose this weight?

I had a hysterectomy a little under 2 months ago. Everything went well. My only concern is last month and this month I get symptoms of a period at the time my cycle use to come. Has anyone ever experienced this?

I have never had children and had an emergency hysterectomy at 36. My right breast becomes damp on its own and when slightly squeezed milky white liquid comes out. It also itches. I have not started menopause either. I still have both my ovaries. Is there cause for concern?

I had an US which resulted in possible endometrial hyperplasia. Rather than have another US my dr opted to refer me to a gyno. It was a rushed appointment that I pushed for to get back my results. I have to wait for an appointment with gyno for further info and testing. So in the meantime i am going crazy trying to understand it all, especially now that i am listening to my body more. So thyroid levels normal and iron also? Nizoral shampoo with Rogaine are supposed to be the best I think. Rogaine initially will cause a period of increased shedding, so you would have to get through that part to see any results.

Thanks for the reply. I had a partial hysterectomy at 40 and now I'm 49. I have had several of the thyroid test ran at the hospital. The first time in the beginning of 2007 I had the test run everyting was within the normal range. After gaining almost 20 pounds in a course of about 4 weeks my doctor sent me to a thyroid specialist and he had the test range again and also did a biopsy befor prescribing the medicine. So now I'. wondering if it's worth it taking the meds.

I am a 49 year old female. I had a hysterectomy when I was 40. The last two weeks my breasts have been extremely sore (bring me to tears sore). I have had very heavy bleeding since last June. Ferritin levels below 4 hg 102. Take elemental iron daily now up to 3. Last mense was 42 days nightmare. Cannot take progesterone pills -allegic throat swelling. Had to take tranexamic acid in ER to finally stop the bleeding. Have not started mense this month. I have seen a specialist and am scheduled for a complete hysterectomy because she says there is no other treatment option for me at this point. I believe her and she could cut my legs off if it will help. She warned me I could have bowel involvement and need to be prepared that she may have to go from laparoscopic to full incision if that is the case. Hi I am 40, never had children yet in November I had a cyst removed. On the follw up appointment I was told I dont have cancer but the cyst showed abmormal cells. They are calling it a serous borderline tumour. My consultant wants me to have a total hysterectomy because the CA-125 kept coming back normal even though the tumour was abnormal. I am a 40 year old (will be 41 next month) who had a hysterectomy in 2009 (have my left ovary in tact) I woke up this morning and the ends of my hair were SOAKING wet!!! And all day so far today I have been burning up (we are currently experiencing sleet/freezing raing and a lot of snow is on it's way so it's very cold outside) I am sitting here typing this in a short sleeved t-shirt and my hair up in pig tails and I am still sweating!!!

I have recently been extremely fatigued and have had multiple arthralgia's, red/raised rash on my forearms/under my arms that comes and goes, a very tender right breast with a lump that comes and goes under my arm and in my groin. I just "don't feel well", and also have noted "night sweats". Hello, I am a 43 year old who is probably going to have a hysterectomy soon, I am waiting for the referral for the doctor affiliated with the hospital I will have the surgery at. I have fibroid tumors in my uterus and a mass on the left outer uterus, They are concerned because my CA125 levels are elevated to 46. I hope if I have to get this done that I will not have the hot flashes and night sweats anymore and hopefully too I will not lose my sex drive.

the OB gyne MD gave me 2 options, either a polypectomy or hysterectomy. as much as possible i would like to avoid a hysterectomy because of the post effects. I am 48 years old so I was 40 when I had my hysterectomy....too young to be suffering from these horrible conditions. Is there something I can take? Please help!

They are recomending ablation or hysterectomy doe anyone have a opinion on which is best? I went in on Thursday after bleeding heavy for over 40 days & got blood work done along with a transvaginal us my results will be back on my Monday appointment.Thanks for any advice.
