hysterectomy

Avatar f tn Eight years ago I had a calcium score of zero, but was told I had a 50 to 70% blockage in my LAD which was believed to be NCP. Today's calcium score is also zero, despite having taken statins for eight years. Does this mean that I never had NCP? Or does it mean that the medication didn't work even a little bit?

Avatar m tn I had a salpingo oopherectomy on both sides, a hysterectomy as well as a appendectomy on February 5th 2013. I am 27 years old. Since the procedure was done I have had severe lower abdominal pain while urinating. I have been very sick. Does anyone have an idea of what this pain is from?
Avatar m tn I had a hysterectomy at age 45 due to a benign tumor on my left ovary as well and fibroids. This was done in October 2011. The surgery did provide pain relief from the painful periods, and constant fibroids, but 9 days after my surgery I started with a major depression that has not gone away. After having my bloodwork taken, my thyroid was hypo active and that was corrected.
Avatar n tn What would make me bleed after hysterectomy 9 years later I have my left ovarie only its only when having sex?

Avatar f tn I had a Hysterectomy on February 18, 2015 and I have started back excerising (approximately 2 months). I am on a vigourous diet. I exercise daily but the scale is not moving. Would there be a reason for that; could the surgery have affected my ability to lose weight.
Avatar m tn I expressed this to my doctor and he was willing to do a total hysterectomy on me, but he wants me to give the Seasonique a go before we proceed. He would do a full hysterectomy on me because of the endo, but my concern is that I simply do not want to age fast. I don't want to go through menopause and I heard sex gets weird after a hysterectomy. I don't want to be reliant on BC forever.
2004742 tn?1327656482 Unfortunately I dont think so : ( I had a partial hysterectomy 10 years ago at the age of 25 due to cervial cancer. My husband and I are on round 2 of IVF with a surrogate mother. She is wonderful, I coundnt have chose a better person (found her on ****.com) We are able to use my eggs but with you not having your ovaries unfortunately you will have to search out an egg donor. You may be able to find someone that will do both surrogacy and egg donation : ) Best of luck to you!!!
Avatar f tn I had total hysterectomy 16 years ago I am now 56. I take monthly infusions of IVIG for low IGG immunoglobulin and very low IGA. I have heart disease, anxiety, depression, fibromyalgia, arthritis, irritable bowel back issues, migraines basically been falling apart since 2007 when diagnosed with sarcoidosis. Avatar f tn Is hysterectomy the best option. My gyno says I have 4 fibroids and 1 ovarian cyst. I have no pain and no problem with the fibroids. The cyst is giving me problems for its sore almost every time. If I do a lot of walking, exercise, physical work etc, i feel pain on the right and I think thats were my ovary is. I also feel pain during my period. The pain goes down my right leg at times.
Avatar n tn I am scheduled for a laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy in 4 days. I started my period and will be on the light days at the end by the time i have surgery. Is this a contraindication for proceeding with the surgery or can this procedure occur at any time during the menstrual cycle?

Avatar f tn I would have a detailed converstion with your doctor. I too am a runner. But I just had a normal redical hysterectomy and I was able to return to running. I would say it may take you alot longer to heal, but I am not a 100% sure you will not ever be able to run again.

We don't touch each other the trust has gone I believe the surgeon never gave her any options and the hysterectomy was totaly unnecessar y.

Avatar f tn I am 5 weeks post op after hysterectomy but after suffering a few night sweats, my doctor gave me Premarin oral HRT. It is 5 days now and although the night sweats have eased, my acne has become worse. My doctor said that this eostrogen alone hrt may help the acne, do I need to give it chance? Is it normal to get worse before better?
Avatar n tn I had a hysterectomy on Dec 2nd, they could not get the draining tube out. It has been over a month and it has not budged at all. They are telling me it could take 3 months or more for it to come out. Is this normal? What are my options if I want it out now. There is a very bad odor.
Avatar n tn It does sound like it would be the best solution. I can see what the doctor means. If they leave the ovaries, at least you wouldn't experience surgical menopause, which can be a bit brutal. But you would say goodbye to your womb. How do you feel about that? It might be a good idea, for the sake of your general health. Fibroids naturally shrink after menopause, and often cause no more trouble, but with the kidney involvement, I would say it's best to have the surgery.
Avatar f tn I had a total hysterectomy in January of 2008 because I had endometriosis everywhere. Since that time I still feel as though I have the same pain from the endometriosis as prior to the surgery. Also I have some bleeding after sex. Is the bleeding something I should be concerned about? Can endometriosis spread to other organs in your body? I guess I'm not as educated on this as I should be. If anyone knows please contact me. Thanks for your help.
Avatar n tn m new to forum-after several sonograms and biopsy, dr today advised I should have full hysterectomy-scheduled for Monday. Findings on sonogram-complex cystic mass 3.8x2..2cms, several thick septations. Individual ovarian cysts w thick walls between them or even possibly a folded tubular structure such as hydrosalpinx. There is no free fliud in the cul-de-sac. Results of CA 125 were 6.5 but Dr still feels due to my age(59)and size of cysts there is a possiblity of cancer.
